Guide - What Anniversary Quests to do

I'll be doing the pre-quests and then a vid/guide/info on the 25th anny.

there's a real nice "bonus" type 3 aug for everyone that is worth doing

I know not the place for strategies - just a quick note - for "Chasing What's Not Real", some ground pick-ups require waiting for a character to do dialog.
This is especially true in Dreadspire.

Make sure to wait for quest step credit before gating out - else some will need to run back :\

This happened to multiple people I know at multiple points. (And you aren't allowed to continue collecting until each step is completed).
 
One Additional Note for F2P characters - the very first task from Crescent requires a drop from Shar Vahl, Divided in NoS.

Means F2P (or whoever didn't buy NoS expansion) are locked out - but if you don't read ahead you won't know that.
 
and here people in discord are saying it is tuned for level 100 for the final mission, blasphemy...

HOWEVER, if you have NOS friends, you can do the final mission eh?

This quest has a lot of bouncing around and a little tip that might help get to Dreadspire a little faster is to speak to Jimmothy (the gingerbread man) in POK and grab his quest called Magically Delicious.

Say "lend a matchmaking hand" to request the task. But you only want this for the first step which is to Speak to Grand Librarian Maelin (Plane of Knowledge).

He will offer you ports to Dreadspire Keep, The Library, and Erudin Burning. There is another quest or two that I use this short cut port to Dreadspire for also.
 
Magellan helped a lot to do all the running around. Only the trespassing of Temebrous Mountains I had to do manually, as Magellan stops after zoning in. After I had done the first 2 quests, I had the feeling to have visited almost all zones of eq.
Most of the zones required to visit, I didn't remember how to go there. I was glad I had Magellan at hand.

yeah it is slightly more due to the max value being different, i'd recommend getting the offensive aug if you're only getting 1, but getting both offensive and defensive if you want the smolest of smol upgrades and want the option

I wonder if they're going to fix that. You can't insert a 2nd aug since they're in the same lore equipped group on a piece of gear you're wearing, but I've heard if you insert it unequipped, you can still equip the gear and both mods show. Somehow that doesn't seem like their intent...

If you add the aug to an unequipped item of gear you will still get the error when you try to equip that you cannot as it is in the same lore equipment group. I tried various combos as I wanted to get the max benefit from these new augs.

On my Druid I put the Alteration aug on my shield and the Conjuration aug on my 2H. When I want to mainly heal then I equip Censor+Shield (for heal proc) to get the mana benefit for my healing spells. I always keep Splinter of Potency on my gear as even when I concentrate on healing I will still cast Wrath on every mob I can.

Good to know. I hadn’t tested that but someone swore up and down it was possible.

@GoldenFrog just get a friend to request for your team...make you task lead...then drop. You can still get around it that way. I only did it on one toon and flagged my whole FTP army that way.

sadly im on a TLP, so i wouldnt get the highest augs, but ill check it out. it looks neat

I guess we should consider adding the Tower to the list since it will be available as an anniversary feature now and the rewards are cheap and easy.

yeah i held off to see on how they were gonna implement it
 
Looks like the Anniversary tower is just the same. I was able to use GoldenFrog's automation script to run all of the floors he has programmed. They did make one change. You are no longer allowed to place a campfire inside. So there was a bunch of campfires outside in north Ro :)
 
Has anyone tried to complete A Formal Dinner Party this year? I have tried this twice. Both times I killed every mob, including all the hidden areas in the linked thread, and have only had three drops. The "a skeletal musician" mobs seem to be npcs, and I can't target and kill them. They are the only mobs left on the map anywhere other than the ones in the ballroom. Any suggestions?

Are you killing the Weapons Racks as well?

Starting these tomorrow… do all toons need to do the whole thing or similar to the 25th where a few can do the pre reqs And request?
