Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt 4.1991b

You have 110 in inventory so a quantity of 1 is satisfied. I added Inv and Bank on the side so you could see at a glance how many you already have.

It is a control so if you say I wanted 100 vegetables it would make what you want and stop and if you tried again after that it would not do anything because you already have the count.
ah, so I was doing it right then - but just had stuff in the in ventory, that makes so much sense now - thank you for your help and quick reply

I'm sorry to be such a pain - but tried to make something today and it did nothing - can you check what Im doing wrong - I would also really like a guide, Im sure there was one earlier that was more detailed than the overview one
This is my step after opening TCN - Click craft and standard, type in name in text search e.g. vellum parchment solution, go to recipes returned and click on fine vellum parchment solution - see how many I have in my inventory (196) change Qty to 251 - tick the craft button (have also tried without the craft button ticked - what exactly is this button for) - click execute query. Now I think thats what I did yesterday and it worked but not today

That button next to the Craft is for Trim, which I never use (I am not sure what it is for) I would check the box to the left of Continue so it continues to make the items until it hits the number. You then have to click the Craft button itself, and wait a few seconds for it to start crafting.

Also, the x3 on that lower selection, I do not think I ever do that either. I think it tells it to buy 3 times as much material as it thinks it needs? If you hover over the question marks, they tell you wat each button or checkbox does.

so the execute query is not used to make stuff? And thanks for helping - now I see my m

Correct, the execute query has to do with the items to the left of it I believe, but mainly does some type of search. thats the same as your text search, or close to it. A bit different logic to it, but mainly showing the list below. Once you select something from the list (I tend to add them to my favorites if I am going to make them a lot) then the checkmark to the left to select the item you want to make, then Craft to actually make it. If you use the info checkbox, it will popup a screen letting you know what is missing or in the bank or depot.

Trim is for recipes that have the same time of item crafted throughout the entire process:

If you are making some amalgamated whatever or some tinkering whatever (don't know exact names, or the real answer too lazy to look up)

The point is they have multiple bricks of the same type for different crafts, it attempts to consolidate all those crafts so you only go to that station once to complete them all, rather than go back and back and... you get the picture.

Well it is 3 sets of, not 3 times as that would be .. a bit much, well a better way to say it is X 1, so whatever is multiplied by 1..

yea, the check is to select it, the magnifying glass is to get the recipe tree, and if the craft button is green and you have selected enough , you just click craft and it goes. If it is yellow, there is a recipe info checkbox to select which will pop up and shows you if you are missing an item or a requirement.

I am not looking at it right now but I have the distinct feeling in Batch you do do 'Execute Batch' and it starts doing everything.

and in the Artisan tab prolly 'go'

some of these decisions were about UI real estate, not to be difficult.

Global Craft Settings Window

Auto-Shop - will run around to vendors and buy stuff automatically
Auto-Bank - will grab tools, trophies, and stored recipes and components from bank during crafting session
Auto-Deposit - will return unused items to bank and tools and trophies after crafting session
Auto-Platinum - will try to maintain 5000 platinum or whatever you set it to, by making withdrawals.
Auto-Trophy- Swaps all trophies automatically, and should return whatever you had in the ammo slot afterwards.
Am I to understand that if I disable Auto deposit on the Global Craft Settings window, when I am doing my trophy quests your Lua will stop depositing my TS tools I purposefully keep in a bag that I keep in my inventory?

I just looked at the logic to confirm what it should be doing, and yes, indeed, if the deposit is off it should not return trophies or tools to the bank. This includes the quests.

Thank you for all your hard work! I absolutely LOVE this tool! You have truly developed an amazing tool that makes TS actually enjoyable!

Is there an option to when doing bank/vendor shopping just to ahead and grab the whole stack?

It's been so long since I answered this question that I forgot how to answer it. The general rule is to not grab stacks in standard definitely. Whereas, batch is grab all you can? I'll need to look but I believe the original thought was to grab what you need and you can x(x) it for shopping to buy more than you need. basically TLDR now, I need to check it out.

I was going to do some of the Artisan Quest recipes, and hit an error on the tinkering. This happened when I hit the Start button on this page. I have not tried any others in this line.

I have a fix in mind , I do like to wait a little bit when there are updates to MQ and there have been quite a few over the last couple of weeks. This is to ensure a fix is a real fix and not a I tried to but it didn't fix anything because something else was changed. ramble...

I have searched for an answer to my question but could not find and the overview is vague and does not contain any detail. I am doing Tailoring atm and it is doing "stiched energeiac" items. Is there a way to not run from PoK to Barren Coast EVERY time for every recipe? It will also stay in PoK and run back and forth to vendor/crafting table a lot and it looks scripted. There has to be a way to buy multiple recipe ingredients at a time.

Forgot to add that I am attempting to get all skills to 350 to max my aug.

So what people do is they can set up a mass buy for one big trip to the vendors, and then they use the GH option in the settings so the char runs to the guild hall and crafts there.

I am not sure how to do that. I was playing with it and it bought a bunch of supplies but then it just didnt do anything in PoK and I have not been able to replicate it or know if that i what it was doing. I restarted it and it continued to run to Barren Coast and then got stuck again.

Think I have partly figured it out after a bit more reading(126 pages) is a f*&^ ton, and a lot of trial and error. A write up arranged in instructions would be nice. It is a very nice tool though because I don't think i would have ever put in the time to finish my prize without it , still a long way to go.

ok so here is a piece of the puzzle:

1771861364230.png

The requirement is the guild hall (palatial, grand, etc, cannot be standard) needs to have all the crafting stations and have some fair separation between them. So check the box and save and it will maintain that setting.

SRH is missing the spell table I believe which makes it almost good..

so here when you generate the mass list you are able to select a zone to shop from and it will buy all the stuff and come back to POK:

Has anyone used this to go from 300 to 350? Does it tell you what recipes you dont have memorized that would raise the skill? regardless I think im going to buy it.

Yes, that is what I am working on. As you get it figured out it gets much easier. Still slow but much much faster than doing it manually. if you are a great procrastinator like me it is worth the money.

So the Artisan tab will 'know' how many you know for a skill and do not know based on an output it triggers to determine that.

It also has an info box to show you known and unknown recipes if you are so inclined.

The artisan tab is specifically designed to get you from 300 to 350, the standard and batch are generally for other uses.

The tool does not specifically list what recipes you still need to learn, it would only list the items you need to farm to make the items. There is a website I use that does the list part though (and also lists any missing books you need to learn). It is eqrecipes.fr If I remember correctly.

It is a been a few weeks since I've used TCN, but I started getting this when trying to craft. It is a new setup after being out for a while, but as far as I know I have everything. ( Installed with redfetch instead of the launcher if that makes any difference. ) This is when selecting "Diminished Gem of the Defender" from the search.

Soooo, I went to line 4339 and changed the comma on that line to the concat operator ".." It seems to be working out now.

just for giggles are you able to tell me what version of MQ u have installed?
This morning( after running redfetch to launch ) it says version 3.1.1.3734 which was just released today. I just assumed redfetch downloaded the latest version. I think the previous release was on 02.22 if the changelog is correct. Using /echo ${Macroquest.Version} in game.

Question for you JB: If I tailor an item say a glove is it equal to, better than, or less than a drop of the same type? Reason is I am thinking about getting your TCS. The thing is I get a drop and wondering if I can tailor the same item with the same stats or forget tailoring the item and just keep working the area till I get the drop. I guess in other words is it worth making something or just go looking for it to drop.

I'll try to answer the best I can. If you are going for 350 you can generate a mass list based on a few, more, a little more, or all of the recipes. This will make a list that shows a rudimentary list and quantities of farmed items you need and general areas of where to get them. Prior to that, I usually run the cycle so it bangs out all the non-farmed recipes first or at least tries to.

If the question is about making armor and then making 'armor' I personally go for the best you can make without raiding and if that isn't the ticket then the dropped encounter armor. If you are going to mass make armor then I would use batch mode in TCN.

If you just wanna make a bazillion misty thicket picnics just go with the Standard mode.

I hope this answered some or part of your question.

Hummmm I might not have explained it right, so lets try this. I just picked up Crude Defiant Cloth Gloves. Looking up recipes I find that their are no recipes for these Gloves. Now there are other Gloves that can be made that are close in stats to the Crude but the skill level to make them is past 250 in Tailoring. So is it worth the time to learn a trade skill (like tailoring) and start making item to use or just go out an kill mobs till this item drops and I can use. Or learn a trade skill work it up to 350 and then make items to ware (like gloves, shoes, or hat ) that are better than what you can find off of dead critters.

Zeb

Does this support consolidating TS items? Can I have a toon request all ts items from others ?
So it will request items from other toons in the amount needed or you can also request any amount of any item if it is tradeable and it will transfer that as well. The requirements you have to be in the same zone (POK for example) and DanNet needs to be on. This looks on character, in bank and depot to grab the items for you from other toons.

There is a consolidator script that does a lot with regards to transfer all kindsa of items tradeskill and beyond.

My general philosophy is to get the best I can get until a skill makes it more appealing to farm and craft a stat item. I use raidloot to determine a upgrade path of dropped over crafted. If you are on FV my answer is buy your way to greatness.

The overall goal, or one of them is to get to 350, so farming along the way helps. Making the good stuff comes with the materials and the high skill range so it will take some time. However, I have a basic path tab that gives you ideas of how to get there fairly quickly and things to farm so it may be a tad monotonous but it gets you to the promised land instead of making 30-40 different things along the way. I believe Pottery is the easiest/cheapest to 300. Brewing is good, but expensive if you are not patient.

Thanks I guess I will need to scrap the clay from my fingers. I will be doing some research on your TCS (it's Lua now?) Ohhhh is their any other way to buy it or is it only paypal?

PP is the preferred method...
