• Hail, we're RedGuides. We want you to play six (yes, 6!) EverQuest characters at once. We have scripts and a friendly community to help, please join our playstyle and say hello! 👋
  • We've added LLM sections to our Terms & Rules and Resource Rules, for everyone's sanity & in-game safety.
    a. Do not replace your voice with an LLM. This goes for your posts and your scripts. Drafting and editing with a tool is fine, but don't take you out of what you share.
    b. Do not replace your EQ character's voice with an LLM. We don't want scripts that speak over /ooc, /shout or other public channels. This has been an unwritten rule that's kept casino scripts off the site for decades, but we're now compelled to make it clear: keep automated communication private.

    Why Does RG Review Scripts?
Nearly every LLM-written Lua script we see is making your character do impossible things, and rarely in a way that's beneficial to you. We've seen heavy server hammering, /target over impossible distances when /nav spawn would passively accomplish the same thing, a spawn search that fires 20+ times per second, and other pointless actions that are likely annoying GMs.

You are welcome to use LLMs as a tool to structure, draft, and edit your work, but please read critically before hitting /lua run

What is the name of your MQNext folder? does it have _ or - or a space in it? looks like MQ alone. Do you have a Working directory under lua\TCN\Working?
Here is the path
G:\Program Files (x86)\MQ\Lua\TCN and there is a sub directory of working

Looks like we got a fix for the directory issue (this affected the Artisan 350 section only with regards to copying the output recipes file) if you had a structure path like D:\MQNext it didn't affect you, will push it out next release, I am finishing up testing for Aid Grimel quests to ensure we are using the proper containers..

Everything defaulted to POK bank so I added in some New Tanaan and portable containers.

I noticed this earlier :)

Seeing some oddness in multi-stage combining. Misty Thickets and unfired casserole dishes, for example. One toon went to make 3000 Mistys. started making one subcombine, finished, then went back to the bank saying she was done, instead of going to the next. Casserole was the same way, made ceramic linings, then back to back (different characters). It appeared if they expected to produce X of a subcombine, but ended up with say, X-2 subcombine products, they went back to bank thinking they were done. if I used the continue checkbox they seemed to function right and plow onwards (or i was on the last subcombine!). Didnt see this behaviour a couple days ago doing kaladims and it's subcombines. Reporting back, maybe it's user error, maybe not.

Been overworking the heck out of this thing the last few days though!

Short Answer: I think I have a fix.

TLDR Answer: If a previous sub-combine failed it would wait until it exhausted materials or achieved the goal (skill/count), If there were any failures it would break out prematurely, thus ending the joy, and not making the main recipe.

I found some other nagging issues and was ready to fix them but instead I had 5 shots of fireball.

Well it is related to tools, of course it is always the tools!

There are a few ways to tackle it, find the chain of recipes that require whatever Woad is selling for a particular skill and make it a purchase button, another way is to pre-cog the recipes and produce vendor shopping lists for a set amount of recipes. Pause and buy a little bit of everything, if it is buying conduit pattern, buy cap and other patterns also. It is a good thing to understand that this is an economically based method currently as in it buys as needed and only goes forward if everything is successful for the aug maxing.

On Riz, I'm making poison for skill ups. It will fill my bags almost full then stop. Is there a way to make it sell when the bags are full or close to full and continue? I clicked the Sell Threshold and put in 14 but that doesn't seem to do anything that I can see.

I was never able to get it to sell, I always had to use destroy.

You can expect to see a license purchased from me. Just out of curiosity, can you set up a queue to max tradeskills like you can with your macro version?

It does the recipe you select to skill up on, whatever that may be, or mass destroy to reach 300, or evolve a trophy.

If I am trying to evolve, I just do some math and have it make and destroy that amount to evolve the trophy, if I am getting to 300 I just do 100-300 at a time or more and can have it repeat or run one time.

Batch DnD is something I hope to add to it. or at the very least a DIY skill up method.

I could also make a skill up path sequence that would say do unfired small bowl, than unfired bottle and then spherical whatever..

Yeah I was offering discounts in the way of red cents, or sub for Vets.

which I fall under lol, one of the reasons I was waiting (but I don't want to wait anymore) because stretching VA disability don't always go smoothly

Was trying to start a craft at a froglok camp and it was trying to origin me away from the forge there. Any way I can stop it from doing that? I have to use that specific forge for the recipe.

I will have to put in an association to craft for a recipe in a specific zone. It will only do POK or NGH currently.

Can you let me know the recipe?

This will involve NOT returning to POK or NGH after shopping or all items are in inventory. I have a plan mapped out in my brain housing group.

I had cultural on the road map, you are just too quick.
