My groups burns right through it, I had no idea there were even ground spawns :mystery:

lol, that's how I've done it when in a real group of people, but I thought maybe it was because we're all raid geared.
 
This is the real problem for EQ, The level of "hardness" and why everyone can not be happy with the tuning of events. Every group make up, everyone playing will never be equal. I tend to lean on the side of KICK YOUR ASS, I will. Which does trivialize a lot of content. Specially in missions where you need to just use your tank and Healer to do a "Controlled" burn...
I would rather hope the tend to tune it towards the masses, if they be raiders or groupers. It is just a no win situation.
 
Since dropping the Empowered Campfire, and using Jande pickup hotbutton, Ive no idea how to do the second one he listed. I find this is the easiest mission to do, under 5 mins and all done.
Flying mob in EW is so hit and miss, and Final mob in GD mission is a royal pain as he always DT my Tank when I get wrong mob. Kael one ive still not managed to complete.

Second one is just a cleaned up version of the first one. juts copy/paste both lines into a hotbutton, line 1 and 2.

That Grinlicor (sp) is a pain to do at times when he drops down he randomly summons one of my group. No idea how to counter that. It is literally hit by ice, he drops, toon that ran is by the group already and then he summons someone else ! Joy when he falls off his mount into that hole then you get summoned in there and have to get out.
 
All the toons are running Core/Entropy

I've considered running the whole group around with Grin while he's flying, but adds being up throws a wrench into that plan.... unless its possible to drag the add around and still kill it in a reasonable amount of time.

adds summon from 99/100%, so not viable.

It takes 2 sucsfl emotes to drop Grin. So on the first emote of the cycle, I run only the toon who was called for to get underneath him. For the 2nd emote of a cycle, I run all toons on follow so that I can begin fighting as soon as he's down. However, I only do that if all adds are clear, otherwise I ignore the emote. It doesn't reset so if adds are up, I do not drop Grin until all is clear. Adds are priority 1, Grin is priority 2.

Does the mission work the same way as the raid where the longer the mission drags on the more adds and stuff that spawn? Also, the last 30-40% the cold aura starts happening, which sucks because you need to drag Grin into the fires to clear it (or heal through it.. which isn't easy).

I don't stick on grin, I /afollow on my driving toon.

Drive your main toon under him, make sure you have the graphics set right so you can see the aura on the ground. If he is close to the hole, stay south of it, if you miss a cycle so what, better then being in the the hole of no return. Keep in mind you do have some time to get under him, so you can somewhat pick where he falls, there is almost a 10 second window to get that emote.

Using your strategy it is now boring ! mission take 12-15mins depending on spawns/luck, nobody dies, nobody get summoned.
I actually use the eq mark npc then you have a nice ring underneath him as he flies. Seem you just have to be anywhere in the red aura around him to knock him off the mount.

What is irritating me now on first knockoff get him down to 50-70% then subsequently he drops, you do 1 point of damage and he is away again. happens 2-3 times then he finally stays for a bit ... stupid script ! Doubt there is a counter for this just the way it works (not going to do less dps !)

Intentionally removed the autoinv as when it does that I can never find the bloody thing to click and having it hotkeyed on an action bar doesn't seem to work. This way I have a bag open and just manually drop it in there.

Yeah my bags is a mess! (but I will edit the post with a autoinv :D)
