Raz's AFNuke2 for 105 Fire Wizies

99% of the time it is caused by the tank not setup correctly so the wiz get hit/killed and then are scrambling for mana....
 
OK I'm sure I'll get flamed for this noob question... but I am having an impossible time getting this to work. I've downloaded the files for 105 wizzy. When I type /mac afnuke2gem.mac in game I get this : couldnt open macro file c:\users\jane\desktop\mq2\release\macros\afnuke2gem.mac Help!
 
Thanks, I had to highlight the files in downloads then move to Macros folder and now its working!

there are some issues of aggro control with my war tank as there are times when the wizies gets a pop or two, but I can sit and watch them and the wizs are not dying. The wizies are burning through like 20 to 25 percent of their mana per fight. Then once Q and D harvests go off, the forceful rejuv, the wizies will burn through their mana to 0 or close to it. I had to turn on groupwatch on the puller tank to stop pulling to let a wiz med. it seems every 5 to 10 mobs the group has to stop and med. Also I have all the casters on mounts.

Bottom line is something changed as before mid-Jun I was constantly pulling or darn near to it as the harvests and rejuv kept mana flowing.

The wizies have near 85K mana.

Please let me know what is going on.

--ok, seems to be burning less mana but still 10 to 20% to a fight. I re-dl the macro, did the prolonged/sustained change. My holys/shits are all AAs so Im sure that is not the issue.
 
Didn't they add some mana use to some of the AA's a little while ago? Didn't think they took that much, but it is possible, that what you THINK are mana free AA's are now costing you. I don't run a high end Wizzard (yet) so can't touble shoot this for you any more than that, but note they also nerfed the bard Dicho song so if you are using a bard for THAT mana regen, it is no longer really a viable option.

that is part of the problem I am not running with a bard or enc. I guess I can drop a wiz and bring an enchanter.

I did not know about the AA mana cost, seems silly if you think about it, but it is DeyBreakGames.
 
AA mana cost changed a lot for wizzies, so you will need bard or chanter to replenish more mana
 
i have a question (maybe useless cause i don t play wiz without afknuke2 ) why don t use dichotomic fire (with gom of course ) ? :)
someone use this with gom mq2melee and can give the holy ? :)

Ok, I dropped a wiz for an enchanter 105 max AA. Now a War,Cle,Enc,wiz,wiz, SK which I am PLiing to take over for the War. then will add back the 3rd wiz.

Even with the enchanter, the wizzies are blowing through mana super quickly.

Here is my melee section maybe there is something I am doing wrong.

I've noticed that when my tank / main assist looses aggro from the window to say my Mage pet or Enchanter, wizzy stops casting until main tank is back in targets window.
 
In the INI you can designate 3 tanks to watch. I would put in the following order: Tank,Cleric,Enchanter.

There is a line in sub nuke that checks targets target and if it doesnt = mainassist it wont nuke.
 
yeah but losing agro does NOT remove target target so not sure what the target target thing Is about. MY wizzies don't give 2 shits after casting starts they will nuke it till they die or the warrior dies. even if the warrior switches targets, the wizzies just keep nuking the original target.
 
I have not searched through the macro to see what AAs are being used, but I use the following in mq2melee. Do I need to use these AAs? maybe there are some that need to be dropped.

What Gear are you using? are the focuses, and mana cost reducers set for the level of spells you are using?

Tank losing aggro does.

/if (!${Me.TargetOfTarget.Name.Equal[${MainAssist}]}) /return

This will make your wizard not nuke at all if your Mainassist is not targetoftarget. Warriors target doesnt matter aslong as he has aggro on the original target.

I am using mostly castaway but a few items from The BM. As for focus, you talking about AA focus? the wizies are all max AA.
 
I don't know about wizards, but other caster classes have complained that DB has nerfed mana regen and the effects of the mana draw AAs and spells. This is from the patch notes:

- Fixed an issue where a number of spells and abilities that return health, mana, or endurance based on the amount of damage done were not properly capped.

I know my enchanter is blowing through mana whereas before it was generally just fine. Also, make sure they are on a mount, that might help a bit.
 
I found a pretty strange and very obnoxious bug. If the wizard dies and Quiescent Harvest isn't up, the client will stall. Even after ending the macro, I can't use any abilities or spells whatsoever before I relog. No clue what's causing this atm.

I have this issue too.
 
I'm seeing this once in a while - on both my wizzies in my group - they'll be low mana, spamming Quiescent Harvest, but its still in cooldown.. and I mean spamming like 5-10 attempts per second.. You see the casting window flickering its basically attempting this so often..

I also get this during fights sometime, but with some of the DD spells.. Its almost like he fizzles and is re-attempting casting the same spell over and over.. watching the status bar in the casting window, it makes it 50% or less before he re-casts.. but no fizzle messages.. (lvl 105 max AA wizzies btw)... I have everything set up correct as far i can tell, and the shits added into my ini's, they all fire off correctly.. and the force AA's fire off good.. its JUST the DD spells that seem to sometimes do this, and quiescent harvest... I have the same spellroutines.inc as well that is recommended in here..

Like i said, its only intermittent when it occurs, but thought I might throw this out there.. I've been unable to rectify it yet through re-installing things and going through any root cause analysis..

I also notice this going on. It happens pretty fast, I am still trying to see if it is losing mana or not with all the attempted casts.

I also get the Q harvest stuck trying to recast over and over issue when Q and D harvest and forceful reju are on CD. Restarting the macro will most of the times fix it.
 
How do I get my wizards mount to work properly? He will be on the mount, then dismount, sit, and summon the mount/sit at the same time. Half the time it looks like hes sitting on the ground while also on the mount. Its annoying as hell for him to dismount after a fight just to get back on.

Dallas41: Open the General.inc file (in your macro folder), search for the word "dismount". You will see there is a dismount line that is commented out. Delete the entire line, save file, restart mac. Doesn't have to make sense...

No that's good, it would actually help me to use AFNuke and have the wiz call their wiz merc to burn once the tank has aggro. I keep them on Call assist so I just need to change it to: /mercassist rather than /stance burn
 
No dismount in the general.inc file.

I found this in spellroutines.
Sub Interrupt
/if (${Me.Mount.ID}) /dismount
/stopcast
/if (${Defined[castReturn]}) /varset castReturn CAST_CANCELLED
/return ${castReturn}
 
There are different versions of both files running around. And yes, I have found the commented out dismount in the Interrupt routine. In your example, yeah completely remove the /if (${Me.Mount.ID}) /dismount line as /stopcast does all we need now. There was a time when interrupting was difficult, before stopcast, and there are artifacts leftover.
 
hiya guys is there any way to turn off the burn if in excess of 3 mobs as i haver a chanters its not really a problem and i would like to save burns for named
 
As i know this is kinda out dated i use it for wiz army and i keep getting subroutine errors despite it use to work when i did use it but now mass chaos.
