What is happening is when a puller is pulling , he either gets stunned, rooted or some other effect that stops him from coming back to the camp or group. Even after the root effects, stun or whatever is worn off.

Is there a way to correct this annoying problem ? If so, how ?
 
A. dont pull, hunter tank.
B. if you must pull, make sure its on a tank
C. dont run out so far that you cant get heals (modern heals/range focus is like 310?).

you're not saying what you're using so it is really hard to help you.

if you are in an area that has mobs that do that, you should consider taking the fight to them instead.

there is no way around mobs that stun or root away from the group unless you flat out resist it - makes the drachs for instance in EoK a real pain - open the can of whooping and pour it on them directly

I tend to wander zones with /chase on on my bots and just kill mobs close to where they are in an effort to not have my puller get held away from group and oor from heals and such. with kissassist I'll use the Hunter tag, or I drive the puller and have the others follow me.
 
I used to be a big fan of puller (monk) until I found some areas just like the one you described and Sic instructed me to switch to Hunter. Best advice ever. Even if I sometimes try to go back to pullmode, Hunter truly is better with the least amount of problems.
 
Sorry , I am using the basic MQ2 commands and the puller is a monk , or sometimes mage.

But problem is still the same , you get rooted, stunned or whatever the puller does not continue to run back to camp even after effects wear off

yes, so think of this problem the same way a player would

"yo, dawg, i can't keep pulling those mobs out there, they root me and kill me, ya'll gotta come with me or we need to go elsewhere"

Sorry, but that doesn't really make sense. Using the basic MQ2 commands = no automation, so no puller modes. So if the puller is not continuing to run back to camp after effects wears off, you should try pressing the run key.

Try telling us what you are using to automate.
 
Call of hero? Purify body? Echo, move moutian= mez mob at your feet that will forget you. Line of sight and distance. Use distant strike and cover to stay out of range and out of sight. In gmm i put group behind something ,so mob paths right in to my reach. While pulling i run right off a cliff then skirt trees, boulders and hide behind something to avoid spells. Ya some times i get caught , so my bard has a weapon and shield just for pulling. Also you can cast heal over time rune or ward on puller. Mark them as puller and let them bring out merc, so you can manually send merc to heal or remove puller tag. I have used Divine Aura for pulling before.

I pull with a monk but I do the pulling manually. I use distant strike, monk mez and purify body. I never have an issue when I drive the puller. If you're not driving your pulled, you're going to have problems. Even when going hunter mode you're going to have serious problems not driving your tank/hunter/leader.

Not to derail the thread, but would that make it Very Very Vanilla?

On a serous note, others have mentioned hunter mode, but have you considered driving with the puller and using KissAssist set to chase assist on the rest of the party?

Just hunt in a different area. That's what I do when I find things annoying and can't find a good solution at that spot.
 
For those kind of mobs, I use petpull or bow and arrow.
As the arrow has a real flight time, he delays the time you gain aggro. So shoot arrow close to max range, while arrow is on the way move back or hide behind some architecural stuff.
If nothing else works and I want the mob to be pulled to a camp, I send in a low lvl pet which the mob will destroy before he tries to catch me. This gives time enought to get oor.
On one of my mage I have a hotbutton "coh puller" which will start coh on puller when I see he gets snared or rooted.
