The problem with Muay Thai and I went to Phucket to become an actual Kru In Muay Thai your stance is completely open. You eat jabs all day. I don't want to get into a resume or pissing contest about this. But there was a French Muay Thai fighter who was raching up crazy victories using the jab. Thai folks hated him. Purists hated him. You can't effectively prosecute real life combat in a fully open stance of any kind.
