Overseer Automation

Release Overseer Automation 1.9

No permission to download
In game type /itemoverflow and claim any of the Overseer Agent Pac x3
Might have something to do with missing agents. Not sure if this from the patch when they ended quests and refunded agents?

overseer.mac still runs and does it's job, just have some errors in the mq2 window about not creating server.username.ini files or unable to open the files. the only file in the logs is the overseer.ini

Can you copy more specifically the errors you're seeing. I haven't seen anything like that.

This only matters if you want unique configurations per character, but still something nice to resolve.

I don't have the specific errors atm, but I will look for them next time I run the macro. Seems like it is trying to open files the ini files in the Logs folder instead of the macro folder. Possibly have to run overseer without the macro once to create the files there?

I see log related errors when I start overseer.mac on 6 characters at one time using my Isboxer key repeater. It's a Windows file lock issue and nothing to worry about.

I kinda thought the same and even checked the files for permissions, but since nothing changed with my files and the error just started happening I thought it may have been something with the updated overseer.mac. Thanks for the reply.

Lot of good reading but still confused on how to make it just do collections for the TBL shoulders. I have 122 items I need to collect and this seems the fastest way with all of those zones being a pain to get the collections to drop still. So what changes or options in ini do i need to set just for collections please for the 5 zones.
Thanks in advance

I have one toon that gives a pop-up box every time it wants to start an Overseer quest. I'm not sure how or where this got toggled on, but does anyone know where to toggle it back to just letting the macro start quests?

not a toggle, it does it on every quest and auto clicks yes. windows bugged out
/reload
and try again

I was getting the same thing on a couple of my toons and I was knocking my head against the wall trying to figure it out.

/reload worked.

😉

This thread is to discuss the "Overseer Automation" macro.

Read the overview here:
This might have been asked but I'm new to Redguide. I no longer need to do overseer recruiting quests. I'm mainly interested in quests that give merc experience or character experience. Is there a way to change the order of how quests are done?

Even though my toon is 115, I still have Character XP set as the max because this also gives max Merc XP. I also have it run through the 6 hr quests first, to try and maximize the number of Overseers completed when I'm' not around. I still have mine run the Conversion Quests so that I can keep my total Overseer count down to a manageable number, ha ha!

This is how mine is setup now:

[General]
claimRewards=1
repeatTimeMinutes=-1
minimumSuccessPercent=75
requireMercToClaimExpRewards=1
logLevel=2
useQuestPriorities=1
agentCountForConversion=2
ignoreConversionQuests=0
ignoreRecruitmentQuests=1
countAgentsBetweenCycles=1
useFastAgentSelection=1
[QuestPriority]
Priorities=Durations|Rarities|Levels|Types
Durations=6h|12h
Rarities=Elite|Rare|Uncommon|Common|Easy
Types=Any
Levels=5|4|3|2|1
[QuestPriority_Unsubscribed]
Priorities=Durations|Rarities|Levels|Types
Durations=6h|12h
Rarities=Elite|Rare|Uncommon|Common|Easy
Types=Any
Levels=5|4|3|2|1
[Rewards]
index=0
1=Character Experience
2=Mercenary Experience
3=Overseer Tetradrachm

The irony is after DPG has trashed Overseer their numbers will suddenly make it look likes its more popular then ever!
How long it usually takes to finish a mission. It tells me 20 hrs for one. Is that correct?

Each of the missions types has a different length of time to complete.

24 Hr Missions
  • Research
12 hr Missions
  • Diplomacy
  • Exploration
  • Military
  • Stealth
  • Trade
6 hr Missions
  • Crafting
  • Harvesting
  • Plunder
Most of the other Missions that exceed 12 hrs tend to be Recruiting Missions (at least as far as I've seen, but I'm definitely not the expert here).

Running this mac does it cut the amount of time per mission?

Basically what novadude17 said. This doesn't change anything except automates something you'd have to manually do anyway.

It can potentially dramatically cut the down-time when tasks are completed and you aren't around to click again. But that's separate.

Hello, why do you use a 1 in that line?
requireMercToClaimExpRewards=1
you still get merc XP even if the merc is not up.

First information:
Claiming REGULAR Exp when a merc is out will award a larger amount of Mercenary AA.
The script will automatically unsuspend (if not out) your mercenary in this situation if you so desire.

For those claiming exp ONLY for mercenary (as in my case) as you're max exp, no point wasting it when a mercenary can't be unsuspended for some reason. This prevents claiming rewards in that scenario.

I'm also at max XP at 115, but I've noticed that the XP for Mercs is MUCH higher using Char XP than just the Merc XP option.

Ah man. Reading that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and triple check it wasn't MY name next to that log.
I wouldn't post anyone names publicly. It was more of a jokingly way to say people are watching. Be more careful about what you are doing and know how easy it is for people to see this when you make a simple mistake. :)

Understand completely. You did it correctly but it still triggered that "Oh No!" paranoia that happens occasionally.

could you make it where you can have more than 10 rewards pending claim...incase of ...well just incase :) if it is on too long claiming xp for the merc xp i either max on 10 unclaimed rewards or if i claim the i max my merc AAs and claims are wasted...i know with having over 10 unclaimed rewards there is a risk of losing any over 10 that are unclaimed if connection is lost but if it stops at 10 then it is a guaranteed loss of os xp ty and hope you can help or another option if possible could be if merc AAs = 20 then do not claim rewards

Hm. I see what you are asking for. We could add an option for "Allow Rewards > 10"... Feels weird but if it's a risk you take...

One one of my toons, when I try to run the macro, I get spammed with this:

On my other toon, on the same computer, it works fine.

Any ideas?

sounds like exactly what jande said

you likely have an mq2react or mq2hud entry that requires mq2melee to be loaded, and its not, and it spits out in the macro #Warning

Interesting. Okay. So I killed my CWTN, loaded mq2melee, and tried again. Now it works.
Weird thing is, I didn't have this problem before today.

well you have *something* that is using a melee TLO in it - mq2hud, or mq2react etc

Aha. It's from my stay invis react that I was talking about in the other thread.
INI:
  StayIVU:
    action: /alt activate 1212
    condition: >-
      !${Me.Invis} && ${Me.CombatState.NotEqual[COMBAT]} && !${Melee.GotAggro}
      && !${Me.Moving} && !${Me.Casting.ID} && ${CWTN.ModeID} != 4 && ${CWTN.ModeID}
      != 5
  StayInvis:
    action: /alt activate 531
    condition: >-
      !${Me.Invis} && ${Me.CombatState.NotEqual[COMBAT]} && !${Melee.GotAggro}
      && !${Me.Moving} && !${Me.Casting.ID}

If I have one of those running, the overseer mac fails. If I turn them both off, it works.

ok i read what jande <sp> wrote if it is true you cant claim os missions after you have 10 is there a way to allow autoclaim to 19 merc AAs then snot claim rewards after that <i know this sounds a lot more in depth and i am sure it is but i will have to be afk for a weekend or more and like to keep os running> "hates to waste merc AAs"

I actually started that "back when" and it fell off the radar.

My characters still have the Config record that doesn't work:
INI:
[General]
stopOnMaxMercAA=0

Will poke around with this again.

The other day I wanted to get my overseer quest finished early and ( by about 50 minutes) so i decided to pay the DB to finish them up. I was wondering if there was (or could be) an option to pay to finish the Overseer quests early, maybe even with a not to exceed ## DB

Quests have a greater failure rate when you use station cash to finish early. Don't know if this was ever fixed (doubt it). Never do it myself.
