New TLP Oakwynd - May 24, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. PDT
INI: 
- This server starts with standard True Box. Only one EverQuest client may be run per computer
- When Omens of War unlocks (June 19, 2024), we will move to a Relaxed True Box. You may have up to 3 clients per computer logged into the server at the same time.
- When The Buried Sea unlocks (April 23, 2025), True Box will be removed.
As with previous truebox servers that change their restrictions - MQ will be added sometime after "relaxed truebox" is available.

Edit: much later in 2024
- mq doesn't support truebox
- sometime after truebox is REMOVED it will be supported
- currently, dbg hasn't ACTUALLY removed the truebox code from Oakwynd
- sic, redbot, brainiac, knightly, dannuic, nor anyone else is "HoLdInG oAkWyNd hOsTaGe"

Server doesn't make much sense, but anyway. I guess it's all about the first 2 years. After that it's like any other. Within a few weeks you can catch right up if you wanted to.

Sadly, your prolly gonna have to put this on some sort of auto post every couple of weeks as the questions as to why RG does not work will inevitably come up more than once :(
 
Hello all,

I know Oakwynd doesn't allow automated playing / boxing, but if I run MQ (2 or Next), am I able to use some of the features like seeing mobs on map, tracking, etc?

Be gentle folks. We all <non-coder types> ask questions that others think aren't the smartest. But usually are asked out of a genuine lack of knowledge / understanding.

No. Mq does not support truebox servers.

MQ is not supported on Truebox servers. If/When a server transitions into "relaxed truebox" or complete removal of truebox restrictions, MQ support would be added at *sometime* afterwards.

There is no "safe".

MQ is supported on non-truebox servers, meaning MQ works and tries to protect you from "detection", but that doesn't protect you from other users reporting unusual behavior, or protect you from making bad choices (afking), or mistakes (accidentally issuing commands in general chat).

Unfortunately, MacroQuest of any flavor is against > DBG's Terms of Service <

DBG's stance on 3rd party apps > here < 3rd party apps include things like MacroQuest and MySEQ

MQ is not supported on Truebox servers. If/When a server transitions into "relaxed truebox" or complete removal of truebox restrictions, MQ support would be added at *sometime* afterwards.

With this around the corner, what makes a good 3 box in OOW? thinking of trying out this evolving ruleset now that its.. evolved a bit more
 
Looking forward to it, i think patch day and OoW release will be a few hours apart, hopefully we do not have to wait a full month to be able to use MQ on oakwynd ;)

Policy - When does MQ work on servers that transition into "relaxed truebox" servers?

The MQ devs have stated that a server that transitions from Truebox into "Relaxed Truebox" would get support added "sometime" after they become relaxed truebox. There shouldn't be an expectation for it to be the same day, or necessarily even the same patch. MQ is not supported on Truebox...

i have seen, from sic i think, that MQ2 should be allowed on such server at some time after this.
anyone care to suggest when this would be?

So I booted up my accts on Oakwynd with MQ running for the first time and found that within 30 sec each would automatically disconnect from EQBCS and log out. Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix what's going wrong?
 
I thought when truebox was relaxed with the release of OOW we'd be able to use it. Any idea when MQ will be enabled?

Hi. I've been running the Redguides installer successfully for a while. Up until this weekend I only used it for MySEQ. After some success with that I decided to dip into MacroQuest to help me multibox.

I installed the latest version of MQ and set up autologin. Everything appeared to work great and at character select I can see the MQ chat window, MQ2Nav Tools and Recent Changes windows. After I enter the world with a character though those windows disappear. The Macroquest Processes window shows that it is running for that character, but I don't have any MQ chat window, MQ commands don't work, etc.

Anyone have an idea what could cause this? I've uninstalled and reinstalled/rebooted.

What server? sounds like TLP truebox..
 
You're right. It's Oakwynd. Which is Truebox but allows up to three characters from the same machine. I just tried a regular server and had no issues, so that's it.

I assume there's no way around that?
 
Curious when RG will be available on oakwynd. The sticky says that “Once MQ is supported on those servers the RG build will too.” The MMO has been working since day 1 of relaxed so I assume that means MQ is supported on Oakwynd.

I beleive "sometime" is the best answer you will receive.

Just as an observation/minor criticism, but the problem with saying "soon", is it means absolutely nothing to anyone but the person who said it. Surely people can understand why people are still asking even though I'm sure everyone has read the same thing everyone else has.

I would suggest a least posting a time frame so curious people can make informed choices rather than vague indicators that are left up to infinite interpretation. Some people pay money for services that rely on these choices.

I think it's also totally acceptable to say "we don't know", if that's also the case. Just saying 'soon', and wondering why people still ask though is kind of a facepalm though.

With the stance DPG has taken about any software being used on these servers, I'm really surprised anyone would be asking or considering using it. Almost seems like asking to have an account banned, but thats just my opinion.
