I have done it and it was available immediately. Hope the same for you!

The name should be available right away. Have it all lined out though so there is no long delay.

I have done this many times not via a name change but by deleting the old character and creating a new one within a few minutes and putting the name on it.

I do it as fast as I can because if its a popular name then someone else could be tying for the same name.

Purchase "Potion of Amnesia" in the Marketplace. 1500 Daybreak cash. Use it on the character you want to do the name change. You will get a pop-up box to enter the new name.

I keep trying to name toons Thundercock but it alters the name to Thundercockx
