Instructions:
  1. Download the zip at the bottom of this post
  2. Unzip to a folder of your choice
  3. Run MacroQuest2.exe from that folder
  4. Run EverQuest.exe
  5. In-Game, type "/plugin <plugin name>" to add all plugins you wish to use
  6. Refer back to this post for any syntax and plugin descriptions you need

Looks like most everything is updated, fixed and stable. Report any issues as usual you might have. All the plugins and source code are the most current and updated as of 04/15/2011
 
Quick question on MQ2Linkdb, why is it when I type /link /import -- It says that items.txt could not be found, but when I look in the MQ folder, there is an items.txt that has the db in it?

I don't include it in zips because its a 56 mb txt file. Here is it attached. Its already been converted.

This is typical of old macros that have ${String} type commands in them. The Vanilla Compile is completely MQ2 compliant and this function is disabled because people had no clue how to code it correctly.

In our Official compile string functions are enabled for warping purposes which is why your macro was running under that. PM me your macro and if its easy I will yank out the old code which you should do anyways. Otherwise wait for the NA official Compile later tonight hopefully.
 
Going to be busy all day getting NA Official compile going. I will look at it soon as I have a chance but might not be until tomorrow
 
MQ2FPS seems to crash the game when you unload it. For now if you want to disable it modify your ini. Other plugins seem to load and unload just fine.

Thank you so much for the hard work! I've been on everyday since the stupid patch, itching for the compile to come out - EQ isn't even near the same without it. Just wanted to say thanks again!!! Also, a quick question - do you guys use or could you update zbot macro? Just curious, had a friend that used to use it and what not, but been retired awhile.
 
Zbot is dead. I personally loved and used it as long as I could but had to hack the shit out it. Its over 7000 lines of code and updating it out of the question just way too much work.

I actually wrote Kissassist to replace it. When it is finished it should be able to do about 95 % of what zbot did. It does about 75% in its current form. KissAssist will be included in your macro folder with the new compile but you can grab and read about it here if your want.

nice, thanks! Well, I currently use it....keeping spells/discs/aas etc updated and as long as those are updated in each character's file, seems to work fine. Before this, I always used an assist key on each melee toon that used to use mq2melee. Either way /shrug, appreciate the info - I know nothing about the coding or what not and just figured I'd ask the Q! Thanks!
 
is this compile made with vanilla bean or vanilla extract......
