you could also experiement with turning off switchwithma on your warrior, picking a target with your paladin, allowing your war to assist and start attacking that target, and then swap targets with your paladin - the warrior would continue to fight the original target
 
right now i use all 3 wars in assist mode and use hotkeys to swap them from one to another for group tanks in 3 different groups to control them using a defensive rotation is the best way i came up with to have the mob focused on one war with ur macro sending them to manual and swapping them to group tank for the add has worked out very well
this was exactly what i was looking for !
 
Hey @ChatWithThisName & @Sic - is there a way to toggle off my warrior auto using third wind, the endurance regen ability? He uses it right when I log in and on refresh, and I'd rather wait until I've used some endurance. =P

likely due to the fact that the wind line can be used at any current endurance level. unlike the later endurance regens.

I'll take a look at it - it won't be a toggle, it'll just be something like not using if you're full endurance (because using a 36m reuse on cooldown is poo :p )
 
I setup my war to not switch with MA. I will target the mob and allow the war to get it and then swap targets away while the war stays like SIC said above. This has worked out pretty well. Other times I’ll get on the target and just swap what the war is fighting. Works out pretty well.

The bad news on that is the sync is only run every 4 hours, or 6 times a day.
What this means for you, the user:
You no longer need to message me or Sic, and no longer need to wait for one of us to respond to the message.
It won't necessarily be 4 hours for the sync, unless you made a purchase immediately after the last time the sync was run. It could be 10 minutes, 2 hours, 30 minutes and 42 seconds, etc.

Level 85, when entering a burn situation my warrior spams Warlord's Bravery 1. For some reason it doesn't take, but keeps trying until the fight is over, not using any other abilities or skills. My guess is there is something that conflicts with it and instead of moving on it keeps trying to cast it. Playing on test server.

EQ would output what it is conflicting with it. Would need to know what that is to look into a potential fix or make a recommendation on how you should proceed.

you likely are buff-capped.

we don't check some of the solo alt abilities to check if you are buff capped.

I'd suggest ensuring that you don't have any "fluff" buffs up like shadow of ____ (example: shadows of memories, which doesn't actually give you anything from the buff being up on you).

There seems to a problem with Aura? War runs out to tag a mob, Aura fades so instead of running back to camp with mob in tow he recasts Aura and boom! Dead war, this has happened four or five times in the last couple of days!
 
Server is Antonious Bayle if that helps any? Only been happening the last three or four days (that I noticed).

nothing has changed in the war aura or checking pulling stuff since the April (7 months ago) update that added checking for aura and downtime clickies.

I'll take a look at it, but you're the first one to mention any issues.

edit: yeah see, we don't do any of the aura / downtime if we have any mobs on xtarget. I would make sure you don't have your background fps set to "min" in your everquest settings as you might be starving your toon from "doing work" while out of focus. which might include getting information like xtargets being populated.

so my guess is either a: min background fps, b: server lag / poor response.

if you continue to have this problem i would suggest perhaps using huntertank mode so you take the fight to the mobs

In the meantime I can see about addidng a distance from camp check for Puller assist and Pullertank mode, so we do it before we get too far away
 
Maybe it was the framerate? Background was set to min! I have changed it so see how it goes, many thanks. Will check out MacroQuest next also.

How can I setup range pull with Mysterious Belt of Daggers or bow?? I just addclicky summon 10 for Mysterious Belt, but I can't add the knifes into PullItem since it's not clicky as well.....

you just equip ranged/ammo in your ranged/ammo
 
How do they switch back to my tank bandolier after pulling??
we don't do any bandolier switching - if you want to use a ranged and ammo, you would have them equipped. many folks use a bow and arrows for warrior.
 
Get you a Viral fux stick and use that for pulling is what I ended up doing if CoTF expansion has been released.

EDIT: Viral Fux Stick should be Staff of Viral Flux, lol same out come "Rot Vulnerability"

nah, iirc, we don't auto-attack objects (yeah we pull npc, not objects or pets etc) - you can manual mode and select and turn on attack, but our targeting and assist attacking will not do that to objects.

what cocoons are you trying to kill?

Tasks in Loping plains have objects that need to be smashed to make more spiders spawn. Takes longer to destroy the 10 cocoons than it does to clear the entire task.

if you're ever curious why something isn't pulled the /war debugpull on once will do 1 cycle of a pull check, and spit out a bunch of spawns and tell you why it skipped. for objects it would likely say "wrong spawntype

so for that mission, you might consider just making a little macro or Lua in manual mode that'll run to the cocoons and then kill them

there is even a ${CWTN.MobsToPull} that you could query --- so only do your custom cocoon thing if there are no cwtn mobs to pull kinda thing
 
the timer 9 ability line we call "provoke" (provoke, bellow, berate, etc)?

it is one of the "if i am tanking" abilities - so we use it when we're tanking when it is available to be used

if you don't want to do tanking abilities including the provoke line or taunting etc, you can a: not be in a tank mode and b: not be assigned main tank in the group window.

but other than that, if we're tanking and we have tanking abilities we can use to our benefit, we're going to use them. There's no way to turn that off other than not be in a state that would use it




So problem i am having with this is when u get bazu and have incit as well every mob he comes contact with hes spaming both agro tools.... thus i have zero endurance in about 5 mins

its awesome he is turbo charged super stacking but in just no need for that type of spam trying to figure out how to chill out.... i would unscribe the abilities if i could.

i just figured i would inquire since my tank just went from hero to zero with 20 min endurance breaks every 5 mins due spaming timer 8 and 9 agro tools, and maybe it was not intentional.

I enjoy the plugins, sorry to see it go 👍

i understand your point. at least as for now, it works like this.
you did inquire and i answered you that is how it is intended to work, and then a month later you responded and repeated and i said i understood.

I'm not arguing as to the merits one way or another.
I understand what you're saying.
What I am saying is that yes, that is what it is doing, which is what i said before.

it is possible that it may have lower-level adjustments or tweaks in the future, since everquest is pretty stingy with endurance until later but currently, there are not plans or a timeline for that.

I tested a fix for the timer 8/9 issues and pushed them earlier last week. when the next time a rebuild happens, you should no longer seeing those spams

Hey, thanks. Thats awesome. Not anything I was really expecting but definitely looking forward to. If I quit being lazy and start the 1.5 and double anger aug it a lot of my agro woes will disappear anyways. But I'm glad you guys are willing to help out with low level adjustments when you can/they make sense.
 
I have updated everything to NEXT and currently am using MAUI. If I wanted to purchase MQ2Cleric, MQ2War etc… is there anything I need to change or remove from current stuff I’m running?
 
Well you won't be able to use MAUI on those particular classes for which you buy the plugins for. But other than that they're fairly self sufficient. You can try them on the test server before committing to the purchase so you can know what to expect.

Correct me if I’m wrong but this is more self sufficient than what I currently have correct? No messing with .ini files as this evolves as progression happens? Automatically adjusts to your classes that gets spells and abilities correct?

Yes, everything is already setup. Spells are known for every level. Automatically updates what it uses when you scribe a spell or tome or get a reward. Automatically uses AAs as you unlock them etc.
If you have clickies you'll have to set them up but it's really straight forward setting them up.
