MQ2Shaman

Plugin - MQ2Shaman 3.1.52471.11

Not sure if this is a bug.
Shaman lvl 125, DPS loadout.
For several days, I noticed my shaman had "Grow" memorized in spell slot 5.
I had used BYOS and memorized it for something.
But after turning BYOS off, he never replaced it.
Eventually, I manually unmemorized Grow, and then it was just an empty slot.
I tried reloading the plugin, but he still didn't mem something else.
Finally, after switching my loadout to Heal, and then back to DPS, he memorized Malediction.
we don't use grow, nor memorize it

we memorize intervention in gem 5 for hybrid/heal, and pandemic combo dot in dps (and some other considerations if you have pandemic combo dot memorized but not in this slot, we memorize Hex Dot there)

it is possible for you to have the various spells we want memorized, memorized in wrong slots cause you byos'd stuff, and since we have it memorized, we don't put it elsewhere

but no, doesn't sound like mq2shaman doing something, i have no idea where grow came from - unless you typo'd and meant "growth" line which we put in gem 6 with usegrowth on

Tried just about everything I can think of and I can't get my shaman to mount. I tried the magmatic sessaloid and the bridle of wrulon strider. in the the downtime slot, activated and deactivated and re activated. cleric mounts fine on the same saddles. I looked through the forum but didn't see any solutions. unmount is not checked and if i right click the mount he mounts but once it wears off he wont remount. Thanks.
do you currently have another mount blessing

edit: mounting working as expected

are those both old-timey mounts? there are mounts that won't work with old-timey no-buffs

Lower level shaman (Currently 57). A specific example is casting Cripple repeatedly on Terror in PoF (could be anything really). The spell is resisted, they keep going and run OOM. Then we all die because no heals.

My current solution is to hit BYOS and un-mem the spell.

This can happen with any caster using a spell that is impossible to land. Is there any better solution that I'm missing?

Specifically with Cripple as well, they will cast it regardless of mob HP.

Nah, byosing and removing it is your best bet

Awesome. Thanks for the response.

The plugins are truly incredible. As I've started the caster group I've realized how stubborn they can be, melee (and a cleric healer) was a lot simpler.

Are there still plans for changes to the plugins? or is simple-stupid the idea? Was thinking that being able to adjust the loadouts would be a nice touch. The BYOS trick works for just about everything, but then they don't auto rebuff etc.

Byos-custom does.

Not sure if it's something I'm doing but my Shaman doesn't want to mem Reciprocal Roar (choosing Ecliptic Roar instead). Ecliptic Roar is at level 6 and Reciprical Roar is now at level 4 (so is an improvement over Ecliptic). All of my other toons have gone with Reciprocal spells except my shaman (and he isn't using BYOS).

Not sure whether this is an oversight or whether there is another reason (like he's just being stubborn!)

The BP focus is factored in.

Check the FAQ,

no, not an oversight (except maybe on DBGs part). this is "us attempting to help you do the things that are best for you". double duration is sexy

I am returning and I made a brand new group with all CWTN plugins. They are level 3 now but my shaman won't assist the main assist. I have her unpaused, assist mode on, DPS loadout, all else is on default. All my other toons are assisting as expected. Any advice?

Thanks

you will want to check:

your "main assist" is set in your group window
your assist at value is what you want it to be (i use 100 for all my dudes 100% of the time)
your campradius is what you want it to be (even for non-camp modes like chase)
you have usemelee turned on if you want to melee

Hey there,

when playing with MQ2Shaman, I can't seem to get my shaman (Who is currently sub-Tigir's AA level) to use Tigir's AoE Slow. BYOS on with the spell memmed and AoE count set to the number I'd like him to use it at. I have searched the thread and saw that there's logic for 80+ shaman's with the AA but I was curious if there is a way I could get the shaman to cast the spell itself if memmed w/ BYOS pre-level 80. If not, is this something that could be considered for an update in the future?

Well. Byos uses spells the plugins says it uses. As always :p

I'm at an appointment this morning, but I'll have a look

Even with pet off and spiritcall off my shaman is still doing something that gets little pets. I am trying to turn this off for the overwatch fight but I don't know what ability/spell is causing it because I am a fake shaman (mq2shaman). Any idea what it is and if I can turn it off. They just show up as XXXX's Pet and last less than a minute maybe. Sorry for being shaman ignorant.

From the FAQ
Q. I don't want swarm pets?
A. No problemo, We have a toggle for both "Visionary Unity" and "Spirit Call"
- You can adjust "Visionary Unity" with /shm UseVisionaryUnity
- You can adjust "Spirit Call" with /shm UseSpiritCall

From the Commands
/shm UseVisionaryUnity true/false/on/off/0/1 - Use Visionary's Unity AA (chance to trigger swarm pets)

Well don't I feel foolish for not checking the FAQ. Maybe add that "(chance to trigger swarm pets)" to the quick tip when you scroll over it. I noticed that on UseSpiritCall there was a swarm pet note so I looked for something similar elsewhere. Just an idea, Obviously I should have looked at the FAQ but it was late and I had been doing hunters all day so I plead exhaustion. Even with it on I killed overwatch without issue after turning all other pets/swarm pets off in my group. Thanks as always Sic.

When you guys get a chance, could we now update the spell loadout to include Reciprocal Roar now that the BP roar duration issue has been fixed, please? Unless, of course, there are other issues too! :)

Thank you!

Edit: Oh - wait - I'm not sure it has been fixed (despite the patch messages). At least, the text on my shaman's BP (Eternal Reverie) doesn't show the new spell yet! It looks as if it only applies to new BPs from this expac. Ignore me! And bleh.

if/when things get fixed/adjusted, yep. i sure will. I look at stuff multiple times a day.

once it is actually a thing, it'll be adjusted :p

My LS raid bp still only does composite/ecliptic - which i believe they intend on keeping
1736975751491.png

unfortunately, in beta they had Spiritwalker Coat of the Bound as also doing ecliptic/composite - and i've had notes since November that it should be diff :p
1736976085301.png

can you show me a snip of a corrected "Spiritwalker Coat of the Bound" (other bps we don't care about for ToB using composite/ecliptic)

No, I can't show you a snip of Spiritwalker Coat of the Bound (not seen a raid BP drop yet, sadly!).

I do see they have corrected it on group BPs so, in case it's at all helpful (as the text should be the same, I assume) ...

Well, wearing the group bp it should use the current progressive spells, as we were only checking the old raid ones and the newest raid one.

Are you saying otherwise?

No, not at all!

I am not expecting you guys to do anything (as I said above, ignore my post about the issue - as I didn't see a way to delete the post). I had misread the patch message and thought it implied they were changing the LS BPs too - but I was wrong. Everything you are doing is quite correct as far as I can see! Hopefully, I'll get a raid BP and be able to take advantage of the new spell (as I don't think I'd downgrade to a group one just for this).

I have learned to read the patch message more closely!

I only attached the snip in case it was helpful (as you had asked for one of Spiritwalker Coat of the Bound, which I have yet to see).

TL/DR - nothing to see here!

Sorry bought a few of these plugins and loving them! Just have one question concerning the shaman plugin. My 79 shaman does group talisman of vehemence and then will load single target and cast on my tank switch back to group buff and cast and just chains that when not in combat…is there a way to stop the single target buff at this time ?

that shouldn't be possible - I'm guessing cause this is a rare case of the single target AND the group version being the same level - but yes, just block spell on the single target version and i'll see if i can figure out the cause

I am wondering since both spells are gotten at 76. So blocking single target on tank should stop the shaman from spamming ?

@Sic,

As someone with a level 125 shaman equipped with maxed AAs and T1/T2 group gear, I’ve noticed significant issues when relying on a shaman as the primary healer at lower levels! The role of an MQ2Shaman healer becomes exceeding problematic during the leveling process, particularly between levels 50 and 80.

When setting the plugin to "Loadout: Heal," its internal spell prioritization loop often neglects healing during combat!!! Healing spells are only cast after all others such as debuffs and buffs are completed. This leaves designated primary tanks with little to no healing support during combat, regardless of loadout configuration, with up to 99% of instances lacking sufficient heals. The only way to currently address this is by resorting to BYOS and BOYSCustom settings, which allow users to override and remove non-healing spells to prioritize healing spells, sacrificing significant DPS.

For instance, the plugin frequently executes a sequence of debuffs (e.g., slow and cripple) and maul proc buffs before casting a single heal. This often leads to situations where the tank's health drops to 10-20%, and the plugin continues its buff/debuff routines instead of prioritizing healing. As a result, tanks frequently die before receiving a single heal support spell.

Proposed Solution: When shaman (or druid) plugins are configured with "Loadout: Healing," healing should become the highest priority!!! The plugin should adhere strictly to the healing percentages provided in its settings, ensuring that all other actions (buffs, debuffs, etc.) are secondary to maintaining the tank’s health as any player would.
