Any thoughts to adding a pet attack on off while healing, shamy pets suck but dps is dps. When i'm in heal mode with her, her pet won't assist the MA/MT or defend her despite having the use pet on selected in the gui.

it also uses campradius to determine the range (even in mode 0) to assist and send in the pet - so if you're out of that range you will want to adjust yourself - i suspect this is likely where your disconnect might be.

the mq2 shaman window didnt show up this morning when logging on. running /shm toggleui, /shm show, /shm hide all give the message zerkerwnd does not exist, try reloading ui.

in options I am unable to reload ui. /reloadui did not bring up the mq2shaman window either. the plugin appears to be working from the mq2 chat though. not sure how to bring the window back. any ideas? thank you

/reloadui is the everquest command to reload your ui.

if you loaded mq2shaman after already being in game, you will need to reload your everquest ui with a /reload ui

then /shm show shows the window.

you should definitely give a view of > cwtn-class-window-ui-info-video <

I had tried everything mentioned including re-logging the character and mq2 . /loadui default was giving the same error message.

edit. ended up doing /plugin mq2shm unload > /plugin mq2shm load >/loadui default and it brought it back up. strange that /loadui default didnt work on its own.

well i explained it as literally as it is, and the video.

/shm show is the correct command to show the window if it is already loaded and not showing

/reloadui or /loadskin default are everquest commands - this needs to be issued if you're trying to load a plugin after eq is already loaded and that plugin has its own ui element (like cwtn plugins, or portal setter, or dpsadv, etc)

are you sure you didn't just minimize it?

if you are using another automation macro suite on top of the plugin it is really difficult to offer you any assistance.

the cwtn plugins are stand-alone and do not require any other combat automation. I would strongly recommend turning off kissassist.

I would also double check you have your tank assigned as MA/MT in your group window as the backing off behavior would happen if your pet is not fighting a mob in camp or not on the MA's target.

no, there are the 3 options for epic use /shm shmepic 0, 1, 2 for never, burn only, combat.

if you want to do something very specific to your usage - like wait for a buff from your team mate, then you can make a react or macro to use your item with /shm shmepic 0

also why you can toggle off ancestral aid - so you can manually use it for times like mgb etc

there are several reasons why but a tl;dr -

if we had like "only do it with xyz buff/song" then we'd need to do a bunch of other bs like "do i have a dude in my group that can do xyz" and then what if that that dude was a trashcan and didn't have xyz buff/song/epic to do etc etc etc. so then you end up sucking because someone else sucks.

since you can turn it to never usage, this would allow you to make that choice with a react or little macro to fire of under your circumstances that fit your needs

I have another question on Glyphs, I don't see them firing when the burn routine is called often. Is there something else that needs to be turn for a burn to happen other than named or number of mobs on ET?

it calls glyph if you are burnow, burnalways with xtargets, burnallnamed and have a named on xtarget, or your numxtargets is greater or equal to burnmob count

if for some reason you are tanking, it uses dragon scales

otherwise it will use destruction (as long as you don't have intensity of the resolute

I am having an issue with my Shaman getting stuck in his spell book, not only on my Shaman but on my Enchanter and Beastlord as well. They will un mem a spell and the new spell never gets loaded and the toon just sits there, taking no action until I manually close the spell book. Very frustrating

yup it is addressed in each of the FAQs - this likely has to do with low background FPS

We also only make the 1 normal attempt get get you out of your book if you are in byos or manual mode (where you scribe a spell and then outtie) - meaning if you have low background fps and it doesn't "tell" mq2 that you are done memorizing when you finish, we don't automatically stand you up - if you are not byos and not in manual mode we make additional attempts to kick you out of your book, and if you are not manual mode and not byos and we find reasons that it looks like you are stuck in your book, we beep at you, tell you that you likely have back background fps set and then we stand you up.

Yeah I had background fps in game set to 33 for past year or so due to crummy video card, got a new card in past few days so it appears I am able to crank things back up.
I set them to 61 for nopw, will see how things run. I do not use ISboxer, so I should be good there.

it was something like that somehow /kisassist got loaded and buggered everything up, had to go through chat logs, i likely hit the hot key for it inadvertently.

yes, if you are in a cycle of buffs buffing over each other - block the buff you do't want. if mq2 says they stack and you need it, its going to cast.

the shielding line is notorious for this with other spells - doomscale focusing portion is what goes in a stack loop - block if on your cleric - same with the spiritual V line from bsts

since it sounds like you might not be that experienced with sham and buffs and such, another thing that might be useful information to you is to toggle off the /shm useregen - the dicho/dissi/composite line overwrites it - so you would end up recasting regen after every pull lol.

(i should add that to the faq)

Just noticed something. If you don't have a new Chest you will want to use Dissi not composite. 12 secs is alot for the old roar. Not sure how important that is.

i have no plans on using a different spell based on your gear and i don't plan on making that change at this time.

background fps is only part of it - if your computer is pegged out you're still going to have background fps issues despite what your settings are. same with cpu affinity and usage etc etc etc.

6th gem is the gem we swap out for buffs - so yeah

I would suggest not being in byos and not being in mode 0 while doing stuff that you're going to be doing a lot of buffing.

as of next update unless you're in byos we're going to kick you out of the book if you're in it - because folks even in mode 0 still end up with issues when they have computer issues or setup issues.

re: causing death due to combat - turn on usemelee and melee - will kick you out of spell book every time reguardless of byos or other settings

This was also very helpful. I was recasting regen a lot as well but it wasn't as mana draining as Talisman of Doomscale recasts so I could tolerate/ignore it.

well that didn't last long :p

As of next build we will use dissident if you are wearing the tbl/tov t1/t2 bp when the plugin fires up - it doesn't continue to check later on so if for some reason you're swapping around your bps like a mad person you will want to /shm reload after swapping your chest piece

Still have a couple of issues with the MQ2SHM, how does the buffing work? currently she only buffs herself no one else in the group, what am i missing in the gui to get her to keep, regen, unity (single target), haste, Tala'Tak up, Talisman would be nice too.

Regen is junk no one in the past 4 expansions should be using it. Haste as well.

New Focus includes haste and Talisman. Check the Use Focus button and make sure you have off BYOS.

Use SoW for Tala'Tak.

So following the above the only change I made to the gui was to click off regen and haste. BYOS is off. She still is not buffing the group with xtargets enabled and the 4 PC's in the xtarget window
