Plugin - MQ2Ranger 3.1.52471.11

I have 4 105 Rangers and when I do /rng Missing it says I am missing (101) Shield of Nettlespears. I am not missing this spell. They all have rk2 of it. Furthermore when I go to Katat Castrum: Deluge it shows that I don't need the spell when I open up the ranger spell vendor.
can you show me your output window

edit - it is probably because eq sucks and the spell is "Shield of NettlespearsRk. II" instead of ""Shield of Nettlespears Rk. II"

Take an easy screen snip:
  1. Shift+Windows Key+S
  2. Select the area you wish to copy
  3. Control+V to paste it into a forum message
 
I noticed that when I have ranger pull, it keeps spamming autofire off, autofire on? It also pulls beyond the 350 i have set in the UI. Any suggestions?

i even had a note in the extra "let's check this shit in case eq sucks" that said "i intentionally didn't include this checking because there's no way eq fucked up that badly.

will be fixed next build.

thats not a lot of information - we just pull with your ranged attack, if you have your option set to not use ranged, it is gonna toggle off ranged until you get situated and start fighting.

re: pulling distance - all of the plugins use the same library, we only pull mobs inside our radius
 
Hmm i read through some of these postings, didnt see how to get ranger to kick back and bow? he is either to far away to melee and just kicks the mob or isnt far enough back to shoot his bow? i messed with chase radius and didnt seem to matter at all? Surely got to be newbin something here

chase radius is for when you resume chasing to your MA.

did you watch the vid? check the faq?

Yes, just refered to faq and video to make sure i wasnt goofing up - /rng useranged on and he is in chase mode running around, doesnt ever seem to step back and ranged or is it more less going to only be good for assisting and camped in 1 area?

did you adjust your stickhow, or no?

Now new Issues im encountering. Level 85 ranger is spamming Spell(66): Nature Veil (Cloaks you in a viel of nature provinding a change of creatures attacking you to be less hateful towards you) It is spamming it on the tank. And the tank is a paladin, has normal CWTN Paladin buffs and merc buffs.

yep.

veil seems to be a problem with a bunch of stuff.

did you check the faq that i keep suggesting for that?

you either
a: need to check what is causing the issue and block it
b: check what is causing the issue and stop it (like if another class is overwriting you

yeah unfortunately if mq/eq says "we're missing a buff and this stacks / overwrites" we're going to try and do it. sometimes that means that toons can and will just sit and overwrite each other

as mentioned in previous posts, for veil it is a self buff, only if we're tanking. we check for eq/mq stacking.

so if it has a red error message from eq - you'll want to look at that
if it doesn't have a red error message, but someone else is buff competing with you - you'll want to look at that.
 
Having issue with Ranger trying turning ON and OFF auto attack/auto fire for no reason, as well as when ranger is paused/in manual steadily running back to a different spot than I have set his camp.

Which distance did you have to change and what did you change it to?
set to 35 moveback and it works great except if there is a LOS issue

my guy does the shuffle like that when hes having LOS issues (EQ LoS is wacky).

Paused, mine doesnt do anything but stand there?... look at the help sticky and see if you can answer some of those questions :hfive:

I had a very nice play with the plugin.

The three following abilities are all more or less giving the same bonus.
Guardian of the Forest
Outrider's Accuracy
Group Guardian of the Forest

I would suggest to rotate them in combat at any time during combat .
That is Trigger one of those if the two others are not active.

This could be done using some condition like bellow:

!${Me.Song[Guardian of the Forest].ID} && !${Me.Song[Group Guardian of the Forest].ID}

they're rotated as part of the burn rotation. so if you want to always burn, you can turn on burn always (i don't recommend) --- I might consider down the line using them willy nilly when not in raidmode and saving the burn rotation of these 3 for raid mode, but no, current use is working as expected and intended.

your conditions don't mean anything here - this isn't a macro, certainly not kissassist, nor do they cover enough stuff to actually rotate with all the things that actually need checking - sorry, but not helpful at all.

Beza is being spammed because it has lower level spells, im also spamming provoked by the hunt and eyes of the visionary. basically beza is overwriting those two spells, provoked and visionary are being recast because they were over wrote, then beza is being cast again because its buff set isn't on.

we check beza then we check if you have any individual spells that mq/eq says "we don't have these buffs and they stack/overwrite my existing spells"

idk, i see that that I have Visionary and Provoked, then rank 8 Beza is cast, then I have Cheetah and Spurrned, then I individually cast Visionary and Provoked. When Beza is off CD it gets cast again and the cycle continues. I am making beza my next AA upgrade, ill see if it stops when that happens.

You tried just blocking the one you don't want?

I just upgraded my beza so it contains the most current spell lines. it wasn't too big of a deal just some odd behavior i noticed. I haven't noticed this with the other plugins; nbd really.

unfortunately eq handles different spells differently, and MQ doesn't have all the buff stacking 100% right

yea i get it, im a coder so i know how catching every edge case goes. just saw it and wanted to report it.
 
^ that won't be there until RG rebuilds - there is a pipeline issue atm preventing it

Dumb question, but looked through FAQ, watched video - can't find answer. Ranger just hit 28 and got Spirit of Wolf. Why isn't he buffing self/group with it? Am I missing a setting somewhere?
 
Hmm, ranger will start autofire then give a message about being too close and run up and attack. I tried the 35 moveback others posted and the ranger just runs up to 35 and nukes but won't range attack.
Bow is equipped, have arrows and endless quiver etc.
Flat ground, clear line of sight.

Did you turn on use ranged?
 
had an issue today where when i have usecures on, it gets in an endless loop of meming counteract poison and meming the heal that goes in that slot. keeps doing it until i uncheck cures.

Had the same issue as Virtuoso65. Stick was set to moveback 35. Ranger would fire once on the way to rushing in. Userange was on. Ranger was lvl 55.

Also had strange behavior when on Puller Assist Mode (separate issue) where ranger would pull, run back to camp, turn off autofire and NOT turn on attack causing the ranger to just stand there without engaging. Tried toggling ranged on or off between pulls as well as changing the stick option between 0 and 3 respective to ranged status and neither helped. Didn't happen every time but about 50% of the time I had to step in and hit autoattack in order to re-engage. Also have to manually click on a new target so perhaps it is related to the assist call? I have a video of the behavior if needed. Hope it helps. Keep up the great work guys.



Video starts at the beginning of first pull. It activates autoattack once mob is in range (expected behavior), then on the next pull it fails to activate so the ranger does not engage.

We just added a "UseSow" option to the plugin.
/rng UseSow on/off/true/false/1/0 - If you should use SoW line of spells or not

Alternately, like all the other plugins. You can choose to block the spell you don't want on the character that is receiving the buff. This will prevent a casting war between two classes who overwrite each others buffs.

If you have usesow turned on and don't want it to usesow, you can turn it off /rng usesow off.

Turn it off if you don't want to sow, or block the spells like chat already said

Should post a screenshot of the plugin memorizing between the two spells instead of the EQ window. I don't know if you're running kissassist, and rgmercs, and muleassist, and easystuffbecausewhynot.Lua or any number of things that could be causing it. Showing the plugin memorizing the two spells would show that it's the plugin doing it. For all I can tell you're doing that manually. Please help us help you.

You would also want to ensure that another character you're running isn't overwriting the spell.

sounds like the mob is outside your campradius, or your MA isn't in melee fighting it inside the camp.

but i'll see if i can take a look at the on/off stuff - confirmed a pulling issue. just don't be in puller for now, i'll get it sorted likely this evening.
