Lots of good info here, thanks.
If i want to use a drunkard's stein to evac a tank, would it be:
/item <stein> or /casting <stein>
And, for a caster to use AA gate, I'm putting:
/posse cmdadd /casting gate, and it is failing to parse.
Thanks.
I notice this doesn't fire when one of my other toons approaches, even though he isn't on the friends list and is not in the same guild. I assume it knows to ignore characters connected to EQBC?
Yes, I made it so that it assumes anyone connected to your eqbc server is your friend.
White listed people in your group and those connected to mq2dannet
Added the TLO: ${Posse.FriendNames} (completely unnecessary, but symmetry and such)
Made it so if someone went from being a stranger to friend or friend to stranger it would recognized this (This mainly is an issue when first logging in, it doesn't recognize your connected to MQ2DanNet or MQ2EQBC because you are in the zone before are able to connected to either of those plugin's)
Added the ability to ignore people in your...
If anyone has any issues with mq2posse let me know.
Howdy
Is it possible to fire Posse manually? I whould like to test and finetune the commands at the spot im grinding and bringing a level 1 is kinda hard.
Can someone please tell me which file I need to edit to change some of the settings in MQ2Posse and what program do I need to do the editing???? Thank you in advance for responding.
When I try to open an .ini file with Notepad++ I get a page full of NULL NULL NULL everywhere.Read the overview - the commands to change settings are there. You need to execute /posse save to save changes to the .ini.
You could probably edit the .ini directly if you want, in which case any text editor would work.
maybe you opened the dll, they cannot be changedWhen I try to open an .ini file with Notepad++ I get a page full of NULL NULL NULL everywhere.
Last question for the day. Don't want to be a burden on anyone. When I down load a macro ...it goes in the Macro folder. When I download plugin that is not in VV, do I put that in the Macros folder as well. Like MQ2Autoforage doesn't say it is part of VV. So what should I do with those extracted files.maybe you opened the dll, they cannot be changed
You need to execute /posse save to save changes to the .ini. (sometimes the ini arent created until you do this)
You put the .dll file in your \Release folder. However, the real answer is that you should be using the launcher to download and update anything that isn't already included in VV. If you go to the resource page and click the "watch" button for the plugin you want, the launcher will have an entry that you can use to update and install it, completely bypassing the need to download and manually extract files. If you are trying to download MQ2 plugins from other sites that RG doesn't use, that's probably not the best idea.Last question for the day. Don't want to be a burden on anyone. Once in game, these things need to be configured. MQ2Posse, for example, has a set of commands to do configuration from within the game. No editing ini files in notepad.
And just to note, MQ2autoforage *is* an included plugin.
I guess you do not have the file extensions showing in Windows?Last question for the day. Don't want to be a burden on anyone. When I down load a macro ...it goes in the Macro folder. That is correct! I only do it when I need to diagnose any issues with my system. Since I just built this rig, I hope I do not have any problems in the near future. Thanks again for you assistance.I guess you do not have the file extensions showing in Windows?
yeah, since the ini files often are named the same as the dll, its kinda good to have the extension showing. That is correct! I only do it when I need to diagnose any issues with my system. Nah - they were dumb when you asked them. You just didn't know they were dumb thenI myself have asked many questions, some which seem dumb today but where not dumb when I asked them.

Between mq2posse and mq2paranoid yes there is a way. I need to dig up my configs but in one of the two there are "triggers" I have it set to add the target to my xtarget window. Then to begin auto firing and my group begin assisting me all specifically for pvp.Is there a way to have this run a command when a stranger enters the radius, and then run a different command when the stranger exits the radius?
I have set the posse up but im having issues figuring out this command /posse cmdadd. For instance, I would want on all toons for it to do an /mac end. or potentially cast a druid port to POK. I am not sure how this command would look. My second question is will this command be executed by every member of my team and do I need to do all the posse commands on each character or is just 1 Toon enough?
Thanks
/bcga //posse cmdadd "/mac end"/bcga //posse save/dgga /posse cmdadd "/mac end"/dgga /posse saveThanks! I'll give that a try.I've noticed it many times with Mq2posse that it stops detecting people at all.. so I noticed it's usually based on how long its up, so I actually started unloading it and reloading it.
I use to test it with
/echo ${Posse.Strangers}
when I new someone was in range, it would say 0.. reload it and it would then start reporting again.
Confirmed. Posse stopped detecting strangers after a period of time. Reloading posse triggered the saved action. Thanks! I'll give that a try.
