Plugin - MQ2Paladin 3.1.52471.11

After this last update I'm getting stuck in a memorize loop on aego/hp buffs. (Memming aego, then regular slot 8 without firing the buff) It started by defaulting to symbol without that option checked. Blocked that spell and it went back to aego.

It's still doing it. If it makes any kind of difference I'm using Ashbound Keeper (107), single target aego, and it's just the paladin, no other classes are having an issue.
 
New version rotating a new buff now. The previous version was doing was Symbol / Burst of Moonlight. Now it's Armor of Steadfast Faith / Burst of Moonlight.

Using VV (Test) I'm noticing that my Paladin (120) is stopping attacking on a regular basis, I don't see anything looping in the MQ window. Is this related? I do notice that my MQ2Paladin.dll is dated 12/03, even after a reinstall. If I download it manually from here I get a version mismatch when I try to load it.

manually downloading means "im downloading a live version of this plugin and trying to use it on test" - you can't do that.

there's nothing to "reinstall" btw, the test version on VV has the most currently available version

the updates on live to do with the looping has nothing to do with the test build

That makes sense on the versioning. Now, how do I figure out why my Pally just wants to stand around at times? :) Looking at plugin output as it happened just now the last thing they did was Casting--> Doctrine of Annulment (GoM). No casting bar was active, and as soon as I manually targeted the mob and hit attack things were normal again. Pally is on Assist mode. Camp is defined, rest of group is ok. Behavior was not like this yesterday.

Are you using a different class as tank? If so, they should have the tank role in the eq group window. If PLD is tank, you need to use a different mode. Fex tank mode if you have another puller.

you said assist mode, but didn't mention if the your group main assist was targeting the mob, within melee distance of said mob, if the mob was within your campradius, at or below your assistat value etc etc etc

GMA is targeting, etc etc (I've got hundreds of hours using these at this point), however, I believe I had the camp radius too low for the Pally for the terrain I'm on currently. Always something new to learn. Thanks!

but you see how "i have hundreds of hours" doesn't actually really factor into anything? and in fact, may prohibit you from getting the help you need if you or me assume anything?

you can always look at your map, if the mob is outside of your red circle, we're going to wait

Mob is well within circle, adjusting on Pal had no effect. Just stands there, with a mob being tanked and attacked by the rest of the group less than 20 units away. Tank is mode 5, with all group tank roles set. I just watched the Pal right now target a mob that was being tanked at 29 units, and immediately attack at the threshold. It is frustratingly inconsistent, when it has been rock solid previously. Same zone as the last couple of days of play too. Only changes to the character itself are AA spent.

With the exception of changing the camp rad on the Pal just a few minutes ago., and modes when moving around, the same plugin settings have been used for weeks.

Slight (less than 10 units) shift in camp and so far it's consistent like normal. I'm going to blame EQ for their poor Z axis and shut my gob now. Thanks, Sic, for what you do!
 
so - ok. we'll you made it sound like you fixed your issue - but i guess not.

also you joined in october, so not sure how you have hundreds of hours - cwtn and i do have hundreds/thousands of hours using these, and sometimes we're wrong too.

all of the melee classes uses the same logic for when to assist/move/attack etc - the only classes that assist differently are the pure caster classes (enc, wiz, mage, nec, dru, clr, shm)

I would check your settings like the stuff i mentioned. "inconsistent" almost certainly means there's a setting that you need to adjust.
you said "group tank roles set" - please make sure it is set to group main assist. Might be worth disbanding your group, reforming, and resetting your group roles - sometimes eq bugs out.

did you accidentally turn off usestick?
did you accidentally turn down your assist at value ? i keep mine for all my toons at 100 all the time.

if the location you're in has gaps in your mesh, that would account for that circumstance too - if you get somewhere that we can no longer move, we're not going to be able to move unfortunately

I think you were typing this as my reply to self landed. It seems normal now after slightly shifting position a few units. Might be a tiny hole in the mesh (there weren't any nav errors showing), but most likely EQ client stupidity.

No sir, not in a new zone. :) Thanks again, I know these are your babies and I'm sure Expansion time is stressful for you guys!
 
So one of the things i noticed is it doesnt use Defensive Disc.. atleast for me, I was playing in LS T1 for about 4 hours and when 2 mobs or named would come still no. i didnt see a clicky for it.. does it wait until the character is struggling to pop? it was still easy kept the 2 hander up the whole time. (not sure if that effects it)

sounds like you weren't assigned as maintank or in a tanking mode.

as the patch this morning for the cwtn stuff indicated, there was an issue with named detection (zone ids were off)

so might mean you weren't burning

having an issue with pally being stuck on a AA timer 2 usage it is just chain spamming away it is not finishing the cast on any of the settings just chaining it and if you select the blank field it chains brilliant aquittal :bang:

are you getting any red eq error messages?

you didn't say which aa timer 2 you have it set to

iUpdate : i checked all 4 of the AA timer 2 opitions , it chains the spelll it is set for all 3 settings , disruptive , divine, force , when you use the fourth blank field it chains brilliant acquittal no red messages it just shows casting : Divine stun over and over ( when set on divine ) . but it never reds the box out it just loops. i noticed once it got to around 92-95% mana it stopped chaining it .and kinda seemed ok at that point . i just got back home will test it some more

it sounds like your AA isn't firing. you'll need to figure out why

I have it set as Main Tank and Main Assist. Using Tank Mode on plugin. But doesn't use defense disc like...

Not sure I need to change something so it used disc when things are going to be hard.
 
we do use blessedguard, mantle, armordisc lines. all part of the tier'd defensive routine.

you need to be tanking, and it is used during the defensive burn routine.
 
it seems like the pulling is no longer using the honor line and is going up and bashing to pull have tried turning on disable pull ability and turning it off and both ways does the same thing. any thoughts?

ah - nah if you look at the plugin output when you load it, it still is incorrectly saying parlay for power as the pull ability - thanks for pointing that out, i'll fix
