Maybe a better question would have been, if I disable BurnAlways, what DPS abilities still go off? Lol sorry, I suck at wording.
burnalways is turned off by default - outside of burn you use your non burned abilities.
no i'm not going to list all the possible things it uses and when - sorry about that

you can always /testcopy and try mq2monk on your on monk on the redguide's VV test server build without purchasing a license
 
Any chance of adding the BP Clicky in for Burns??? Or even a toggle usebp as it can be an aggro grabber??
Addclicky burn will cover that.

We've been going back and handling direct usage of some clickies, including bp, and all classes will be considered for it

Thanks Sic, as stated I think for a Monk a toggle for it would be best suited for the class IMO.
 
Running into an issue with MQ2Monk now, where all o' sudden he just stopped using distant strike. Disable Pull ability is not on, I even tried toggling it off/on. I tried resetting the entire plugin itself, I tried logging out and back in. Been grinding the last 6 hours, and then boom, nada on the Distant Strike. XD Any ideas??

Might I add I also have my endmedstart and end at 1/25 respectively, well above at full endurance, pull radius.. The Macro will shoot out "target" is my target...but just not pull, not with an ability, and not with melee unless I toggle off/on disablepullability by clicking it on and then off, it'll trigger him to pull w/ melee...but can't get the AA pull ability to fire off anymore.

On FV Server, in Sathir's Tomb in Xalgoz's room. Was in the cubby to the left of door soon as you go in, had set to PullerAssist. Just randomly stopped working, thought it might be because I had dinged 113, but, had been pulling for the last hour and a half at lvl 113 as I am almost 35% in to lvl. I don't reckon it would stop mid-lvl due to a disc or ability missing?

Alright, after rebooting my computer, RG, EQ, the whole lot....upon entering back into Evercrack, my monk is now using Distant Strike...Is there somewhere that I could find a log that my characters use to upload to maybe find something that may have happened that I could locate and send off to one of you guys??

For now the problem is fixed, just not exactly sure what the problem was in the first place.

you'll want to use the available debug commands to then show the debug on what it thinks it is doing. did you check the FAQ?

my *guess* is there is some issue with one of the floatly mobs where we think we have LoS but dont - but without seeing debug output, impossible to say. Especially since unloading and reloading the plugin doesn't change anything. debug output is the real answer.

Thank you Sic, I'll give that a shot. I "gandered" in the FAQ, not really taking a deeper look(I will, though) and realized after I posted that someone else before me was having the same issue. So, first and foremost, I apologize for bringing up the same frustrating thing again. I'll see what I can dig up in the debugging commands and see if I can't find something viable that could help. I appreciate it boss.

Also, will head back out to Sathir's this evening to try and "replicate" the issue I had yesterday in the same place. Thanks for the tips. I know I been a member a while, but still learning this stuff with the MQ's...they....are new to me. I should read more before asking stupid questions. XD
 
Is there a setting i can put, where when i have monk in Pull Assist mode, if i pull more than x amount of mobs i automatically FD? i thought it was defaulted to that, but my monk hasnt been dropping when i pull a few to many

No. There is nothing like that, and we don't plan to, same with splitting or calming
 
I'm very new to mq2 and redguides so please forgive me if i just overlooked something while reading up on what i should be doing...
1. is there a way to save my choices so that i don't have to tweak it every time i start the game?
2. is there a way i can enable fd for low health and ignore agro % ? specifically when in manual mode?
3. can it be set to not use impenetrable if i don't have agro, (it may just be going off so fast tank hadn't had a chance to take agro) or reduce the hp % it fires when puller so tank has a chance to get agro?

So far I like the plugin! I'm still learning how to use it tho...

I was wondering what people have their pull setting at for them. Like camp radius or Zradius or Radius. I am trying to feel out what others are finding what best works for them and I can adjust accordingly.

I'm very new to all this but this is something i have played with.. like was already said it depends on the zone among other things.. how well your mesh is for that zone/area, your group ability (or solo ability) ect... I did have to increase the camp radius because my cc would park the mobs just out of range and my monk puller/tank would just sit there waiting on it. As a monk you can fd and play with the settings and see on the map where it shows the camp/pull area will be. it will only pull from inside the blue circle. add ignores for quest givers and stuff you don't want to pull or adjust the angle to exclude part of the circle. I made a button with "/monk pause 1" followed by "/nav stop" for when it tried to run off somewhere unexpected or was going to pull a named (with adds) I wasn't ready for.

edit, I just realized I was replying to a month old post, but it still applies. I came to the boards to see if there were any comments on the new UI, I like it.

there isn't but we can do a similar thing with warrior and only use it for burns until you get "modern regen" at 86+

so I just started to have this same issue.. the plugin says Distant Strike is loaded for pulling but he won't use it. If I am watching him, he's standing at a spot that if I manually click my Distant strike button it works and then he runs back to group normally. It was working for hours without issue and i'm not sure what happened but he isn't using his distant strike anymore.

I turned on debugpull and it spits out all the invalid targets, then it states which target it is going to.. it runs to the target and if he's close enough, it proxy agros and he runs back. If he isn't close enough, he'll just stand there and do nothing until something proxy agros him... I will try restarting everything perhaps? it is odd it wont tell me in the debug window.

Ok.. I reset everything and it started using distant strike again... I don't know. Nothing to see here ;)

I'm experiencing the same thing as this, restarting seems to make it work again

You put it in ranged and ammo slot and disable pull ability

It isn't a pull clicky so you would not try and add it as a clicky
 
I'm guessing you are already aware of the timer changes and what not and would have gotten to it eventually anyway but just in case I figured I'd post the behavior.

Since #-step pattern/of fists abilities are now on timer 12 instead of T9, selecting Use Tigerclaw now causes the plugin to go back to using Dragon Fang (level 69) as that is now the highest level Tigerclaw T9 ability.

Should be able to use both FKSynergy AND TigerclawT9 simultaneously now. (from Perspective of level 90)

yeah, i already moved the abilities out of that group, and yeah that makes sense about dragon fang, i'll look at it tomorrow
 
It now reports "Fang: Cloud of Fists" which I don't think it said yesterday, but it was already using that ability anyway (it's also on timer 17 by itself).

Still doesn't appear to use Clawstriker's as far as I can figure out.

It actually doesn't report any "Tigerclaw" ability at all in the readout.

There is one possible issue I notice though, Jab(Punch)-Through (24 second disc, 10 minute re-use) is also on the timer 12 so that disc gets used and locks you out of Clawstrikers for 10 minutes.

I'm no monk DPS expert or anything but I can't imagine that disc out-damages a potential 20 uses of Clawstriker/Six-Step Pattern.

AFAIK We'd want to be using Tigerclaw T12 (Six-Step Pattern in my case), FK Synergy (Dreamwalker's Synergy in my case) AND Fang (cloud of fists) on cooldown, and forgoing Jab-Through due to the 10 minute lockout on Tigerclaw T12.

Maybe someone with more expertise in monk DPS can chime in.

i edited your post so it was a little more readable.

yeah jab-through and punch-through were actually not in that group and meant to be left out, it looks like when we revamped how we update spell groupings they got moved back - i'll fix that, and it'll fix the issue with clawstriker's/

there isn't/won't be a need for "tigerclawt9" anymore

so yep, this'll fix it -- i have a few more update sthis morning and i'll rebuild again, thanks for followup
