Is there a command to choose what the Monk uses for pulling?

Despite having 300 Throwing Daggers she will use the disc Throw Stone.
The problem with that is, it's on the same timer as the disc Elbow Strike, which is being used in combat.
She runs out to grab a new mob and ends up chasing it until Throw Stone refreshes.
I've been through all the commands and don't see anything that would force her to use the Throwing Daggers.
nope, folks asked to have throw stone as pull ability added - if you didn't have a "pull ability" then you would end up using your ranged.

normally we use Distant strike AA (lvl 65 PoP), or vigorous shuriken (83) if somehow you don't have distant strike.

can see if we can do something - but its not a priority at this time

Is there some way to disable Elbow Strike? that would free up Throw Stone to be used exclusively for pulling.
I'm on TLP so disc's are hard to come by. I think she gets 3 or so before 50.

nope, not at this time.

this is one of the reasons why i didn't want to add throw stone for pulling, but several folks insisted they didn't want to buy shurikens or throwing whatevers, and use throw stone.

I might find a workaround sometime here in the future, but its not a priority at the moment

Is there going to be a method for using clickies added?

I really like the way the plugin works, but I can't find any way to make it keep up jboots or any other clicky. Is this functionality going to be added?

like robban said, sure is.

hit that commands tab and check it out.

for something like just a buff you would put it in downtime - so you hold the item on your cursor, then /mnk addclicky downtime

Awesome, I totally missed that, thanks fellas.

What if I need to keep recasting it to keep up with dispells? Is there a way to make sure its always up, despite combat status?

could add it to offensive as well since I check for you or the mob to have a buff from the item.

C++:
            if (pSpellMgr && ItemReady(pIteminf->Name) && !IHaveBuff(itemSpell) && !TargetHasBuff(itemSpell->Name)) {
                UseItem(pIteminf->Name);
            }

Hello, I would like to know if there is anyway to stop mq2monk from running eye of the storm while in manual mode, Maybe a toggle like you guys did with earthdisc. In manual mode the stander mash works great, but that firing off of eye of the storm disc I would love to stop it, I would like to click it when I need it like the other discs.

We're not looking to make a toggle for every single ability on every character. Unless there is a reason that makes sense to add a toggle we won't add a toggle. Eye of the Storm is the very last thing done in the DPS routine and is only done as a filler disc when no other discs are running. It has a 2 minute duration and a 7.5 minute reuse. I don't see a reason to hold on to this ability as it's not part of a burn routine. If you did get a toggle added for this and you attempted to manually use it during a burn, the burn would end this disc and fire off the burn abilities instead. I can not see that being a useful scenario as then it would be wasted.

The point in these plugins are to be out of the box setup to work a certain way with some options to prevent unwanted effects from happening that are detrimental to the character, or for special situations that occur on TLP vs Live. It is not the intent to make these plugins a fully customization mess of check boxes, drop down boxes, and input boxes.

Hi guys,

I'm having an issue with /monk addclicky downtime Spider's Bite XIX.

The behavior is that it will cast it over and over until I'm out of them. I have used Spider's Bite XX and Spider's Bite XVIII and both of those work correctly.

The in game naming is inconsistent and it might be looking for the wrong effects window name?

Item: Spider's Bite XX = Effects window name: Spider's Bite Poison XI = Proc: Spider's Bite Poison Strike XI
Item: Spider's Bite XIX = Effects window name: Spider's Bite Poison X = Proc: Spider's Bite Poison Strike XI
Item: Spider's Bite XVIII = Effects window name: Spider's Bite Poison X = Proc: Spider's Bite Poison Strike X

Using it on TLP's right now it says in the logs its activating flying kick, but not actually using it. Anyone else have this problem? Monks are 60.

Edit: Actually double checking the logs it isn't using strike (tiger claw) either. For some weird reason it uses strike/kick on trash mobs but not named. Think it's a range issue gonna test it some.

Well it definitely doesn't seem to be a range issue made the range so they're right under the mob and they still arent kicking/punching. Might be something specific to dragon hit boxes i'll try some other stuff.

what is your distance when you're fighting the dracoliche? we're using 3d distance for the ability check - so that might make it too far for dracoliches

It seems to be just for specific dragon models. We just started noticing it today on Vox/Nagafen/Talendor/Trakanon. They didn't kick or punch on Talendor/Vox/Nag but did on Trak. Have tried the default 10 range and then tried 5 range neither worked. Might try farther away next time as I think the hit box is centered right in the middle of the dragon and might be messing it up somehow.

we have a fix for this - it is an issue with the 3d distance for the bigger mobs

Is there a way to change what the monk pulls with?
not directly.

if you don't have distant strike it will use your vigorous shuriken ability - if you don't have either of those it will use throw stone.
we recently added the ability for any of the plugins that have pull abilities (like mq2monk/mq2bst/mq2eskay) to disable the use of them so they can use pull items like bow/arrow or throwing stuff

- Added an option to disable pull abilities. This only applies to characters with hard coded pull abilities.
-- (Bst/Mnk/Shd) Example: /bst DisablePullAbility on/off/true/false/0/1

Just got this and it is great.

Got a question though is there a way to the monk use his aoe combat ability for calming the mobs before a pull? or does he already do that? playing my monk I got used to using it to get singles very well.

howdy Lovemate,

No sorry, we don't have any plans on adding that at this time

On TLP uses void dance disc on cool down regardless of health or if any thing is hitting him.

Combat and movement wise works like a champ and tops meters.

yup - you can toggle "useearthdisc" which will stop using it as a filler. "Use Earthforce timer 1 disc line (tank mode and as filler in assist mode)."

Had weird issue with my monk... I was moving camps (quite a few times) and some where along the lines the Monk (assist mode) decided he was tired of being told what to do so he just stuck to my warrior (puller tank mode).

Warrior would run off after mob dies to grab another mob, Monk would run back to camp and sit. Warrior would aggro a mob to pull to camp, monk would stand up and run to said mob and then following warrior back to camp and then assist but bouncing all over the place around the mob. I assume it is some sort of stick command that got stuck somewhere along the lines.

Camping to character select did not reset or solve problem
/reload did not solve the problem
Swapping to mode 0 to 2 and back and forth didn't change anything
/nav stop/end did not solve the problem (can't remember the actual command so I always have to use it a couple of times until it is the right one lol)
Few other commands in game I tried but nothing changed.

Note: this has happened with multiple characters before (clr, rog, mnk, sk) all at the same time but calling it quits for the day and coming back the next day solved the problem, soo I am pretty sure the problem will be gone when I get home from work today but looking for guidance in what may be getting stuck and posting on the monk since it was the last character to do this behavior.

sounds like you had your "follow me" button stuck on or something similar

UseCures is ON, it is checked and green.
doesn't look like infected claws actually matches any of the SPAs we're checking for

Restless Ice does have the 116 spa, and we check that and cure against that.

Would there be certain conditions when he would not cure the restless ice? He got it on a pull and his Purify Body was up but he just FDed and layed there taking damage.

well - if he met his FD condition and didn't meet his Un-FD condition (his health threshold), then it would stay FD'd

He didnt meet it because the Restless Ice was continuing to damage him and he wouldn't use his Purify Body which was up. That is the whole issue.

Hi i was wondering if anyone else encountered this. When farming for monk epic in SK and killing trash to get the stupid Brother to pop, there are instances where if the trash lives long enough and starts to wander away due to low health, the monk chases the mob but doesn't seem to be able to hit the mob.

I noticed this a few times on trashing running away. This seems to only occur on medium / small mobs. This behavior is consistant with the SK plugin as well.

Not sure if there is a setting to change to make the toon hit closer ?

did you turn off usestick?

Ohh i'll try that thanks Sic. Just wondering do you have it on or off for your crew? just wasn't sure what the benefits are. I know it uses MQ2MoveUtils vs MQ2Nav but wasn't sure what the advantages / disadvantages are by turning it on/off

Man all the support you guys give on these plugins are A+.

I wasn't telling you to turn off usestick, i was asking if it was off, because this "shouldn't" happen if you have usestick on - unless the mob is faster than you are i guess. Imo it should be kept on unless specifically you are doing something that requires it off, but this "mob walking away and me not attacking thing" sounds like you turned off usestick. turning off usestick would just make it so you still navigate to the mob, but don't stick engage, I would recommend leaving it on

I just checked my char ini file (servers down at the moment) and it does show
UseStick=true

I was also able to replicate the issue in another manner. If you have a low level toon without any pull abilities, if the mob is static and doesn't move, the monk / sk will go up to it attack it and run back to camp. If the mob is a wanderer, the monk / sk will just follow behind the mob and not be able to attack it. I even try /attack on and plugin just turns attack off. really wierd behavior and it seems to be doing the same behavior when mob is low health walking away.

thanks,
