MQ2Monk

Plugin - MQ2Monk 3.1.52471.11

Firstly can I say what a fantastic plugin this is. I had a massive DPS increase compared with my kissass ini. However since the last patch I noticed something a bit weird when it fighting a named (it may have happened before and I didn't notice), and it uses the Burn routine. It seems to stop firing Kick or TIger claw. E.g

When on the previous none named MOB it showed

The monk was in Puller Tank Mode.

Another couple of minor things annoy me about the plugin, when in manual mode it still tries to perform the 9-breath endurance line abilities. If you use a button (e.g /monk mode 0) to change between the modes, it does not update what shown on the monk UI screen in the Mode dropdown list. Its only updated if you swap tabs, or reopen it.

will look into the kick thing - that is unusual --- the kick and tiger claw is directly before FKsynergy, so it should have fired in that image assuming they're ready

re: manual 9 breaths - checking endregen or breaths or aura are all downtime checks, so doesn't matter what mode you are in --- if you are not invis it will do the first two, if not invis and not in a safe zone you will do the third

the ui isn't a "hot refresh" if you use a slash command you have to refresh the window somehow - like changing tabs

We think we might now why - is it possible you were a little greater than 15 feet away? gonna change the check to being at melee range, and not the hard 15

I think that must be it. I've been playing around, and if I manually move the monk more than 15 away but still in melee range it does stop the kick. Well found :)

Glad that seems to have isolated the issue. We did look into using the melee range required for the mob but that doesn't apply to abilities such as kick/tiger claw. Regular abilities like these have a limited range and I've set it at 15 because this is the most range I could get out of those abilities. We were hoping that we could use melee distance from you to the mob based on the spawn info, but seems it doesn't work.

Thus, we have to stick to the 15 range. By default the plugin automated parts of movement that sticks to the mob at a distance of 10, which would be well within the range required to use the abilities. If you're manually moving beyond that range then I'm afraid it's a limitation of the game that prevents it from firing. If we just hit the ability despite being out of range it would never go on cooldown and would cause the plugin to get stuck trying to use it until you move closer, which would prevent anything else from firing.

Hope that clarifies the issue.

Awesome. Thanks!

He still doesn't sit and med after a rez. Happens 100% of the time so should be easy to duplicate. Level is 115 and I'm hunting in tov. If I have him sit too soon after rez he casts aura and then stays standing. So just making him sit doesn't work. Have to wait and time it which is what makes it a bother.

I'm unable to reproduce it. It may have been addressed by proxy from fixing something else.

I know @Sic and @ChatWithThisName have been very busy with all of the different class plugins but was curious if until a proper tank rotation can be figured out can the tank modes be changed to not click off Earthforce in favor of a DPS disc such as Speed Focus? I know there was discussion earlier on in development about adding tank modes which would be great but I figured that would take a bit longer than having it not click off Earthforce when manually clicked for a defensive.

I can make it so if you're tanking you don't click off of discs in favor of other stuff - i'll look into it

how do I initiate auto pull on mq2monk plz? is it a setting or a command?
yes.

You want to head over to the mq2monk resource page. it has commands and faq and the link to the video giving an overview of the plugin

You will want to be mode 6 for PullerAssist, if you are pullerassist,
Mode 6 - Puller Assist pull and then assist MA

And you want to review the pulling options as they are very important, particularly understanding campradius, radius, and zradius.

Pulling & Camp Related:
/monk CampRadius ## - Sets the campradius to the value provided. If no value is provided it outputs the current value.
/monk Radius ## - This is your pull radius
/monk zRadius ## - This is your vertical pull radius
/monk CampOverlapBuffer - is the distance out of Camp to help group members (assigned puller excluded).
/monk DoCampfire - Turns on dropping a campfire
/monk CampfireDistance ## - Create a new campfire if campfire is more than this distance from camp.
/monk Ignore - adds your target to the pullignores.ini file in your release folder - will skip this mob in the pull routine.
/monk Unignore - removes your target or typed name from your pullignores.ini file in your release folder.
/monk Groupwatch - 0|1|2|3 - Everyone, Healer, CC&Healer, Self
/monk HpMedStart # - percentage of health you want to start waiting at.
/monk HpMedEnd # - percentage of health you want to stop waiting at.
/monk ManaMedStart # - percentage of mana you want to start waiting at.
/monk ManaMedEnd # - percentage of mana you want to stop waiting at.
/monk EndMedStart # - percentage of endurance you want to start waiting at.
/monk EndMedEnd # - percentage of endurance you want to stop waiting at.

Is there a way to set the pull level? I am using it on a low level monk and it runs out and grabs everything including guards that are 40+ levels higher than him.

Have you tried using /monk Ignore? From the guide - adds your target to the pullignores.ini file in your release folder - will skip this mob in the pull routine.

you could also update your pullignores.ini manually to exclude the guards in your area

I've considered a level range option. Not taken the time to sit down and implement it because as nolava mentioned, you can pretty much add things you want to avoid to ignore. By default it will ignore anything with something under it's name

Guard Hobart
(Quests 4+)

for example. However, that only catches so much before ignores are needed. In the case of guards you'll probably never want to attack them.

In the event you accidentally add something to ignore you can do /monk unignore while targeting the mob.

Having issues with MQ2Monk randomly on Rizlona (TLP).

Every now and then he'll just sit there, not reacting to mobs in camp (on Assist). I have to swap him to Tank (monk mode 5) and back (monk mode 1) before he'll work again. Any idea what might be causing this?

Also, level range for puller on both MQ2War and MQ2Monk would be dope!

can you provide some more information?

next time that happens can you give a snippet of maybe your campradius relative to where the mob is located

the checks for assist isn't a 1 time kind of thing - they happen repeatedly. so if the mob is in your campradius, and your ma/mt is attacking it and you can navigate to it (its on your mesh) - you're going to whack it

you said monk mode 5, but that is puller assist, not tank mode, tank mode is 4 - assist mode is mode 1, however.

Mmm sorry, yea I have to randomly switch modes on him to get him to do anything decent. He's 10 now, and still randomly just stays seated in camp not doing anything if there's a mob in the camp. Camp radius is 60, and i'll try to snap a screenshot next time.

If the monk is in assist (or puller assist) mode and gets ressed while a mob is in camp, he will wait for the tank (MA) to re-target before he assists. Just hitting ESC usually does the trick for the tank.
If the monk is not sitting to med, it's because he does not have a camp set (such as being in Manual or Chase modes).

Those are my experiences.

its possible he's not sitting because you have a mob aggro - they are only going to go back to sitting in camp if you don't have something you're fighting - this can not be always obvious on tlp at low lvl when xptarget is locked - i had a piranha aggro on me that confused me a little bit the other day.

I also suggest using switchwithma on unless you specifically don't want to swtich with ma - it can fix some issues by the ma/tank swapping around targets and such

He didn't mess up all yesterday, so i haven't had much issue there. Not sure what changed with him but I didn't really stop anything. Now my issue is with MQ2War randomly just not engaging/chasing a mob that came into camp, or when a mob i pulled starts running :I. My group has wiped a couple times because my assisters (monk+bard) chase the mob but my war isn't helping...he just looks at it. Not sure what that's about, but i heard it's a bug with MQ2War specific to TLP?

where did you hear? - all the assist/chasing/tanking logic is common across the plugin suite.

Is there a way to turn off disarm on mq2monk? Guildie on Rizlona TLP would like to turn it off so weps don't drop to ground to loot for plat

hrm there isn't - do weapons really go on the ground and not just in their inventory?

Yeah they drop to the ground, its something we found out on TLP's I had no idea so also mean on live it must happen. Any way to possible get a add for a turn on and off feature down the road? We've just switch to KA for monk because of this.

yup, working on it as we speak

Adding a new toggle and toggle option is a huge bunch of work - but adding it for all the disarm classes as we speak

are you going to be around for a few? if so is it possible to shoot me a PM here or on discord

anyway we can toggle earthforce on and off incase i wanna hold it for defensive purposes?

its a 3 minute reuse - this really gets you in a pickle?

we're not intended to have toggle options for everything. if this is a significant thing i can add it, but talk to me about it a little more 3 minutes with a 24+ second duration

We're not opposed to adding toggles for things if the request is reasonable. If you're just wanting to avoid burning prematurely there's a way to handle it for the full burn as opposed to simply adding a toggle for each ability.

BurnCount - Is based on the number of mobs on XTarget, if you exceed the number of potential things on XTarget then it won't ever reach the number.
BurnAlways - Off
BurnAllNamed - Off

Then you can hit your hotkeys as you please.

its not for burning im wanting to use earthforce defensively to save myself instead of popping it whenever its up that disc currently is just set to always be used its not in a burn

I second the disarm... them fine steel weapons pp add up espcially on starting TLPS when money is short! lol
it was added, it will be in live the next time we push our current wip to live and mq rebuilds.

Unfortunately there's always a little extra development cycle with the plugin suite, but we have quite a few updates coming

is there a way to select how/disc you pull with? i have all the cwtn plugs and would love to be able to chose like say throw stone over melee hits on monk and rog, or even war?
i feel this is also one of those TLP things since we cant ultimately be max lvl and use vig and whatnot

there isn't, but i can look into using throw stone if low lvl. keep in mind throw stone is still a low range - and you can still equip ranged throwing items which will get used.

true, ive just never had to worry since my toons are 110, just very odd to me
with 70 range i feel it may help with some hps/healing.. ive found that the monk can go hit a mob then can either get summoned or easily stunned so it may help or it may not,

thanks sic

The toggle for disarm and the throw stone option is huge. I know it doesnt' seem like it, but trust me... It is greatly appreciated. Thank you SIC and CWTN!!!

well, i think you mean toggle for disarm

re: the throw stone - it will just check the other stuff like the aa and other shuriken line and if you don't have it will default to throw stone

I fixed my post, you are correct sir. Lack of sleep is catching up to me.

btw - on rizzle if you're trying to *FIND* throw stone - the warrior tome vendor in west freeport has it "Teniyu Emua"
