Plugin - MQ2Monk 3.1.52471.11

Is there any way to have better sustained DPS, such as, using items/AAs/discs with low refresh (5 or 10 minute or less) abilities? Not burn discs and such, but rather things that refresh so quickly that they should just be used constantly. If I am grinding exp and not hitting nameds or getting more than 2 at a time, I'm wasting a lot of (potential) damage.

In puller tank mode (5), I'm using Zan Fi's whistle, shuriken, dreamwalker's synergy, and that's it. My "sustained use" hotbar is mostly unused.

Maybe have options on what to toggle on in here? Can I use some of the abilities without turning "BurnAlways" on?

Mode 6 (puller / assist) doesn't work with a merc tank. My monk pulls, and then stands there starting at the mob, targeted. Not engaging. Why?

The mob is only 25 units away. I have noticed that the monk engages when the mob is 12 units away, however, but not 25. The camp is set to 60, or 100. Why doesn't the monk move up the 3 feet to start attacking the mob? It only attacks in direct melee range. If I try to move the monk to the mob, the monk keeps springing back to his starting spot.

Mercs cannot be set as MA. With Kiss/Mule I can run Assist mode on the merc tank, so that it always assists the character targeted when it starts. MQ2Monk looks for the group's assist; if there is none, it just stands there, so I have to put the monk in tank mode and be assist myself, or run anther character on KA to assist the tank, at which MQ2Monk will have to wait for the other player to get engaged before it does.

I'd like BP clicks (10min delay) to be included, for example. Spire is 7.5min, Infusion of Thunder 7min, Vehement Rage 5min, Five Point Palm 5min, etc. I am in the 105-110 range, and I may be missing things, but those were on my "actively click during normal DPS" bar and they get unused.
Maybe I don't understand monks well enough, that there's synergy involved, but I'm grinding exp and not burning/AEing so a lot of my skills/items/AAs are just totally being ignored. These are things that I normally had in the [DPS] section of KA.

Thanks for that command, it gives me some items to target/find. I retired back in CotF (100 cap) so I am missing a few things in the upper 100s (mostly 107-109 range).



Is there any sort of log output I can generate to answer any questions, or to assist in better sustained damage?

I'm afraid then that mercs are not supported as assist targets at this time. The plugin relies on you setting an MA to know who it should assist. You'll need to run in mode 5, PullerTank so that you pull a mob, and then engage the mob.

For all clickies, there are options for adding clicky items for the plugin to handle based on some predefined conditions.

For the following, simply put the item you want to add on your cursor and then use the corresponding command.

/mnk addclicky downtime -- Add a clicky to be used while resting.
/mnk addclicky burn -- Add a clicky to be used during the burn routine.
/mnk addclicky summon 10 -- Add a clicky that summons things, where the 10 indicates the number of items you want to summon. Adjust as needed.
/mnk addclicky defensive -- Add a clicky that will be used when you get aggro
/mnk addclicky offensive -- Add a clicky to be used any time you're in combat.
/mnk addclicky groupshrink -- Add a clicky that is capable of targeted shrink to automatically shrink your group (e.g: "Humanoid Reductionizer")

If you want to go all in all the time, /monk burnalways on

and of course you can always type /monk help to get a list of options available to the plugin. The list is kinda long, so all class specific commands are found at the very bottom of the list, all the commands common to all of my plugins start at the top and work their way down.

If you see a command and want to more about it, try using the command as seen in the help list. IE: /monk burnalways, would produce a generic bool response, that you can alter the setting with a /monk burnalways on/off/1/0/true/false
things that are not toggled will typically give more detailed information.

If an option is unclear as to what it does, and you need more information, please feel free to visit this thread again and ask :-)

Also, joining the redguides discord will give you access to people who are generally conversating and could provide you more immediate feedback, but please do use the help options first, before seeking help from others when possible.

That command "/mnk addclicky offensive " did allow for BP clicks to be enabled during normal offensive usage. =)

yes, the burns are all tier'd, the "regular use" abilities are used when they're available - you're likely missing abilities and AAs
as with all melee you will definitely want to ensure you are starting to get your augs in order and stacking your hdex

I talk about the tier'd burns in the mq2monk video - many of the monk timers are disciplines

Gah, you're right. I meant TBL/ToV. I should have access to find some of those discs, I just haven't been to the zones yet, kinda treacherous when you're 100 and geared from 5 years ago.

I dont understand why but all of a sudden my monk is waiting for valid targets or aggro. Mobs in camp it gets to work but other wise puller portion is acting broke i reloaded updated deleted and reloaded same effect..

did you take a look at all the groupwatch options? I personally only bother with groupwatch 3 - which means i only watch the healer's info, and then i adjust my hp/mana/end for both start and finish

you need to adjust your radius and zradius for your pulling area, then adjust your groupwatch depending on how you want to wait

Its acting like my radius is set to 0 ive changed all my radius settings repeatedly circle doesn't even increase anymore It wasn't even pulling mobs in 100 radius now its pulling only within the circle that i can not increase. ive gone as far to increase the radius im 393.9 distance away from a mob currently.

That was the problem i had chenged it a bunch of times not knowing i needed to increase it quite alot more than i realized. Thank you for helping me with that i appreciate it.

Should no longer use Purify Body in an attempt to cure Resurrection/Revival Sickness.
Add FeignAtAggro and FeignAtHealth to allow you to set values for when to use feign.

Since the latest patch, My monk has been dying a lot. Almost 5% per 8 hours with 96 rezzes. Monk is 115 with over 24k AA with no lag in game. The monk will pull a mob in the Overthere, get maybe 50 yards from the camp, and run back at the mob just to stand there or attack it to die. I even witnessed it getting to camp and running back to meet the rhino before it got to camp to attack it. Also, I watched the monk start to pull the mob, and the monk stopped. I was able to take control of the monk, and run it back to camp. Normally, you cannot do this as MQ2Nav takes over, but mq2nav didnt take over until I got to camp by the campfire. This has happened with the mud mobs too.

Another issue that I have is that I will enable mq2monk and change to monk pulls mode, and he just stands there with full endurance doing nothing after dying. I have to /unload mq2 on the monk and refresh to get the monk going again after death. Especially after the monk dies on the previous pull. It is the same with assist the MA too with the pulls mode on sometimes. This also happened in scorched woods as well. I have logged out and back in several times. EQ latency is at 122ms, and I am not lagging, but I run the game on a cellular connection in the boonies. However, I have never had an issue before. I have other MQ2's running in the background like mq2zerk, mq2rog, mq2cleric, and mq2warrior with a KS chanter running. They all work fine except the mq2monk. This is not something that happens everytime, but happens a few times an hour from what I have witnessed.

Another issue that I am having is that I used to be able to go to Manual mode turn off auto stand on FD. However, when I go to attack the pulled mob in camp and switching to Monk Assist mode from manual pulls, it keeps FD'ing me without automatically standing me back up. This used to work flawlessly before last patch. To explain further, I would change to /monk mode 0, and turn off auto stand. After I pull the mob to the group, I would hit a hotkey with /monk mode 1 to assist that would turn on the auto FD again temporarily. When the mob is dead, I hit the hotkey with /monk mode 0 to start manual pulls again without having to hit the hotkey to turn off auto fd if that makes sense. Not sure this ties into the issue that I am having either. But, I thought I would mention that as well. I know you are ten times busy, and if you need a deeper explanation and logs please let me know. Thanks guys.


Repatched EQ and checked the file integrity, and nothing. Also, I got the red guides launcher open, and I keep checking for patches when they come up. I am not sure mq2dpsadv has anything to do with it, but there is a patch for it. I have tried editing the zradius and regular radius, and the /monk radius is 1200 (rarely large zone to pull from) with the /monk zradius being 60. Nothing helps. Also, I get a DB code something when I first log in, but I checked that online, and it says that it is tied to the overseer stuff. Please help. Thanks.


Update: If you are having this issue, this is what works. Do not designate yourself as the puller in the group. /unload MQ2 and reload it especially before you afk and let the toon pull for itself. This seemed to work for me. I will still look for answers otherwise great product and please let me know if you found the culprit or you need logs. Thanks.

My monk has been getting lag as the mob dies and it finds a new target like my screen will freeze for a couple seconds and then when it picks back up my monk is either headed out to pull or in mid pull. My monk seems to be the only one with the issue and ive been having the same issue since the puller tab was added. Everything seems to run fine from my warriors prospective i just cant flip to the monk tab because it runs so choppy. oh it seems to happen in puller assist mode, assist and manual are the only other 2 ive used and they appear to be fine. Suggestions?

had to try it out and i also get that lag in assist mode the lag spike always starts as the mob dies.

There is a raid setting, where I *think* it assists the raid MA and not the group's MA. I have not done any raids with it, so @Sic or @ChatWithThisName will have to comment further. I have no experience at this time with the plugin and raid function.

As per the commands page:
Raid Mode:
/monk RaidMode true/false/on/off/0/1 - Sets if you want to use the Raid Assist instead of the Main Assist for getting valid targets.
/monk RaidAssistNum 1-3 - Sets if you should use Raid Assist 1, 2, or 3 when in RaidMode

Depends on the raid honestly. For events with mechanics that require you move around a lot I only recommend manual mode while either playing the character, or with a custom macro to handle the event. For events that is nothing but a target then kill the raidmode would be fine.

when you say macro do you mean the plugin, or are you also running a macro with this?

if you mean the plugin, could you elaborate a little bit more - you're saying that if you do a /monk pause on --- when you /monk pause off it burns for no reason? are you sure it is not just meeting the burn conditions before you paused it, and unpausing it continued where it was at?

The reason for that answer is if any of the CWTN plugins are paused, the just don't complete their main checks - so they never get to any of the normal on pulse checks, or downtime, or combat, let alone burn conditions

I think i know what the swift tails issue is - I'll test a fix for that today
o hardly ever use it, despite being down on endurance.
no command to change when swift tails is used - right now i have it set to check the group for less than 60 (this also checks for stacking and all that goodness --- and you will need to ensure you have /plugin mq2kissbuffs load on everyone to ensure they are in the buff file otherwise they will be skipped

Pretty sure this is one of the items that we actually just fixed - there was an issue that got reintroduced last patch or two, but i'll look into it to ensure this item specifically is working as expected

I also purchased MQ2Rogue and it's nice to see the consistency between your guys' plugins. A little bit of in-game configuration based on my group's current needs, and I'm off and running without 2 hours of .ini setup.

Going to clean up the code a little bit (it wouldn't solo check yourself while you're in a group the way i did it before), but i do suspect you don't have mq2kissbuffs loaded on your crew - which is what we currently use to check everyone to see if we can buff them - do a /plugin mq2kissbuffs load on your crew - new way will check you always

No, it is loaded. I ensured that when I quoted your previous post. I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with config file, but KissAssist_Buffs.ini looks fine to me when I open it.
