we only face mobs when we're required to - like if we're using a nuke that requires direction, or if we're using stick with melee to stick to a mob to melee it.
outside of that, we don't just face the mob nilly willy
furthermore if you're in manual mode, you're responsible for movement and movement type things
This -> Manual mode means you want movement (including turning) to be manually handled. If you were manually relocating yourself and the plugin did a /face fast before you got situated (small pause in movement for whatever reason) then you might be a little bit out of sorts trying to reorient yourself to the new heading.
I play in third person. Even when I'm manually playing my caster I don't go out of my way to face the target before hitting them. It's wasted time and effort as far as I'm concerned. Unless I need to face something, I don't. Going out of your way to face a target before casting a spell is the equivalent of targeting yourself before casting a self only spell.
That same logic was applied to spell casting in the plugins.
If you want to face something make an LEM react or whatever it is the kids are using these days.
Just say if you're casting, and you have a target, and the spell you're casting is a detrimental spell (assuming you're only interested in detrimental) then face the mob if you're not facing it. Then you get what you want and no change need be made. This is the answer for special scenarios where someone wants behavior outside of the scope of the plugins.
