Release MQ2Grind (2 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Morning @hytiek

Pups of War: There are two issues. First, at the initial location, they gather near the entrance wall where there are some purple roots. Sometimes, if characters are on mounts, they get stuck in the roots, and I have to move them out.

Second, when they fight a crocodile in the water, sometimes their next target is nearby. They attempt to chain-cast to pull the target from the the land to the water, but it doesn’t work, causing all the group to remain in the water indefinitely.

I'll run two groups doing Pups of War all day while i work. One group will flip the instance with no issues, the other will finish the instance and pause the grind, but never starts back up after completion. What can I do to start troubleshooting? The below snip is what is pushed to the mq2 window on the group that fails to restart the instance.

I turned off the "Use Campfire" to see if that was causing a weird timing issue

It seems like the answer is in your screen shot. Are you ignoring it?

"Automatically pausing plugin due to group member disappearance"

Where did that toon go?

nowhere, that's my point, all 6 are sitting there and why i thought it may be some odd timing where someone campfires out first, it pauses, but never starts back up again.

Regardless, just got nailed with a ban (no suspension, just ban), so i can't troubleshoot anymore / no need to do anything more for my issue!

@hytiek had time to check that ? keep getting stuck at the first location in the roots.
Thanks !

CAUTION: Use Beast Domain instance flipping at your own risk.

I don't know exactly what has happened but mq.TLO.Me.Instance() used to return numbers over 500 for instances, for pickzones the number was lower than 500 and randomly at some point a couple weeks ago that specific instance started returning lower zone ID numbers on the Mischief server and has not stopped. There was a ton of people spamming that instance to get their teams up for RoF launch and it's RIGHT next to the Argath zone-in from GH and I've seen players who are not using the instance actively sitting at the zone-in seemingly "AFK" watching it as well. So, while the zone ID thing may just be a coincidence, the vast majority of people who were heavily flipping that instance were banned on at least one character.

Now that also might just be a coincidence but especially due to how close in proximity the quest NPC is to the zone-in, it just really doesn't feel safe at all. I'd definitely just be cautious and use at your own risk with that one.

Use caution with ALL use of MQ.

I'm not sure why you raised the concern about Me.Instance - MQ2Grind does not use that.

I wasn't saying it did but it was suspicious that they changed it. Could just be being paranoid but I thought it was worth sharing.

ok having a weird problem, the plugin loads and starts correctly, grabs the instance, and then leader/tank says ready and zones in, but rest of group stands around out of instance and don't zone into instance. if i manually zone them in it works fine. but will not recyle, it repeats with tank zoning in and then pausing because rest of group is standing out of instance at quest giver

Di you have MQ2DanNet loaded on all toons?

Did other toons also say ready or just the tank?

It was MQ2DanNet, after trying everything to get DanNet to work I found it was my VPN connection causing issues with DanNet.

this plugin is a god send, thanks for always giving great support Hytiek

Edit:

My fix for anyone having a similar issue.
1, My router at home isn't under my admin control and was blocking ports, which was leading to me getting random frozen clients at the moment of a zone crossing.
2, the fix for this was to use a VPN, I went with Brave browser VPN service cause I'm a tight-wad (don't be like me) Brave VPN causes SOMETHING to go VERY wrong with DanNet FYI
3, NordVPN doesn't cause any issues (I pay them money they did not give me a cent to advertise for them lol)

moral of the story. pay for a good VPN service, not some cheap browser included crap.

Hello,
I have just started using mg2grind and am currently doing ToV Restless Assault. I use ctwn class plugins.
I can not figure out how to get my toons to rest when mana gets low?
Ive wated videos and read instructions. can't seem to figure that part out.
Any advice is appreciated

Hey there and welcome to MQ2Grind.

I've included some details about this issue within the FAQ:

Ok Hytiek

I've got another headscratcher here, is there any way to increase the "Grind is pausing due to character not present" timer? I'm running 6 instances on a non gamer PC and my CPU is bogged down, zoning is taking about 2 seconds too long every now and then.

this isn't an answer to your question - but on all your toons make sure you have "show offline members" UN-checked, should help with zoning

Having an issue with grind in The Grounds: Mashing pumpkins. Used this before without issue but been a few months. All chars using CWTN plugins.
Group is just running back and forth at the start trying to get to location 1/32. Don't think anything has changed on my end but could very well be doing something wrong. Any ideas or more details you need?

not hytiek and would defer to his reply

but the above clearly says that your group isn't together, and there's an issue with your target.

a: is your group together?
b: do you have "mimic me" stuck on in your mq2groupinfo window? causing your toons to do weirdness with targeting

c: what is it targeting when "failed to get a valid target"?

At the time, my tank had no target and group was together, within 20 units. No follow or mimic on in the groupinfo window.
Playing around with it some and manually selecting a target seems to help momentarily, before going back to a loop of running back and forth. Seems like it can't get to the location it wants to, or the mob it wants to.
I am using the navmesh linked in the FAQ. Maybe I just need to give the ol girl a reboot or restart the grind instance.

Wait, is this because my team is all gnomes? (mod deleted comment - let's leave non-eq/rg/gaming related stuff out please)
Rebooted and restarted grind. Seems to be going better this time so far. Hopefully just a bug on my end. Thanks!

Hi guys, are the TOB missions easy to flip? Ie, no running around like LS between start & quest giver? Don't have TOB right now, considering buying if the missions are good. Thanks.

I'm not only the president of mq2grind, I'm also a client. I enjoy the flips.

@JanTeix I set you up a week trial. Close your RG Launcher then re-open it. You should find MQ2Grind available.

Sorry Hytiek, I love mq2grind & am a happily registered user. I'm more referring to how the flips work in TOB more than MQ2grind (I haven't bought TOB yet) - Are they like Shei or NOS ones where the quest giver is at the same location as the start point so I don't have to hike the troops between the start & quest giver each flip like LS? For example in LS, I just last-run every iteration and do the Laurion's Inn portions myself.

they are all the same person you request them from. so if your cycling 1, there would be no running to a zone in.

why?

I purposefully put in a randomized location for every run back :)

Paranoia, to be honest. I did have one instance where the group was rubber-banding around the front door, which really freaked me out. - Heroes are Forged.

just got this today and having alot of issues setting it up the first time. I am doing the goblin on in frontier mountain but after i zone in half of them camp out. and as they move point to point the other characters are unresponsive so the tank end up dying with no heals.

My kissassist group setup is working fine as i can sit at most camps for many hours with no issues.

I'm not sure I understand. You say that half camp out after zoning in and then you also say they move and are non responsive?

Would you mind elaborating on what you mean by camping out? Also by noon responsive do you mean they are not engaging in the fight or not running?

Do you have dannet running on all toons and is working? The best way to tell is by executing : /dgga /dgt hi

Would you mind sharing your mq2grind.ini file with me privately? Thanks.

Are you using mq2autocamp plugin?
Or have campondeath turned on in your kiss ini?
Or other "afk tools" set in your kiss ini to camp you out?

@hytiek Darkness Howls feels like it needs some love, the nav is getting stuck around 19/20/21, and occasionally around 14. Not sure what is causing it but the output will just say "Moving group to location X" and then nothing happens they will just stand there. Am using the mesh from the FAQ.

Done 5-6 runs and each one they have gotten stuck somewhere. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
