Release MQ2Grind (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

Very cool plugin. As I’m constantly adding buff bots/new classes to my endless group this has my interest after returning to vv.

I’ve been using EQBC - haven’t had a chance to setup Dannet yet. Will this cause any conflicts with EQBC moving forward? I typically run 6 acts on two pcs - I suppose when grinding I could flip all over to one but is this plugin like CWTN where you have to be all on the same machine? definitely interested as I just got progression for COV wrapped and back to building new teams but just want to make sure I know what I’m “signing up” for so to speak.

I have the same concern that Naeeldar has. Is this something that I can flip on and off on one machine. At the moment, I am running EQBC, and I see DANNET. However, it would be a lengthy transition to change over to this from EQBC. Thanks for your response, and take care. P.S. I dont mind supporting the project. You guys do one hell of a job.

Got my answer on Discord. Thank you guys! It appears you can run them both at the same time, and it will not mess up the machine. Going to purchase this plug in!

Keep it up hytiek! there is no grudge here, i'm just giving you my honest feedback according to my humble observations and trial of your plugin. The price could be right if maybe the plugin can come with many other missions to do. Understand that we only compare it to other paid products in this community and the trends of the game.

This plugin will basically AA your toons while you sit there and watch. People charge hundreds to max AA or even level a toon to 110 or 115 this will do it for $50 on everyone in your group. I know people who make more then your avg cop or teacher or nurse PLing people in EQ.

Thanks redfox. any idea if you have to run all the accnts on same machine? I’ll probably still do this anyway once I finish up a few COV items but it would be good to know.

I run all of mine on the same machine with 4 monitors. Got an AMD 12 core cpu with an asus 2060 super GPU with 32gb of trident ram. Plays all toons at 1080p on 4 monitors, and I leave the two zerkers behind the bst on the 4rth screen. Also, it plays on high med graphics all spell effects, and I can box my whole team on a raid with no lag. Any questions hit me up.

Just confirmed. It runs perfect right out of the box on my set up. Remember to use /plugin mq2grind load on your tank. You will see in the MQ box that it is enabled. Again, do this only on the tank. Mq2dannet can be ran from the mq2plugin manager. When I first enable it with the left click mouse button and it went from red to green, I got a windows notification asking me if the program can have admin privileges. I said yes. After that, I camped all the way to the end out to desktop. Secondly, I paid 50$ and I clicked the watch button right by the download button in the forum for this macro. It then asked me if I wanted notifications of updates. I clicked yes. Then, I went into the Redguide launcher under plugins, and there was the mq2grind asking me to install it. I said yes. I logged into the game went to the NPC in GD with my group, and I typed /plugin mq2grind load on my tank. Once it loaded and said enabled in the MQ Box, I typed /grind start, and the macro came to life. Thank you!

Thanks Naeeldar!

I have a similar problem with new alts and such... One of the reasons I built it actually! =)

As redfox mentioned in a bit of a reply to you, you can run both EQBC and Dannet at the same time without any kind of conflict. MQ2Grind does rely on Dannet (as mentioned as a requirement). I know that 2 machines on the same network would mesh together on Dannet; I've got some friends who recently did this by accident and shared it with me.

Let me know if you've got any questions!

Would be nice to have an option of how you want to get out of instance. /kickpt is better for me. I don't have all my toons in the same fellowship.
It is cumbersome to do so.

That can result in group members zoning into different picks of the same zone its a pretty big issue for GD

This was introduced in the paid version.

In the [General] section, add the following:

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
;- Exit mode values are: taskquit, campfire
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ExitMode=taskquit

This is what my [General] section looks like:

[General] pulseSkip=10 ;------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ;- SafeMode will exit based on defined Location # ;- values are 1, on, yes, true, 0, off, no, false ;------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SafeMode=1 lastToVRALoc=27 ;------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ;- Delay options ;- values are in seconds ;------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DelayAfterRez=30 DelayAtStaging=10 ;------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ;- Exit mode values are: taskquit, campfire ;------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ExitMode=taskquit

For now, the taskquit method is just slower than the campfire. In the next version, I'll optimize this routine to gain time.

Thanks!

In case this happens, the plugin has been designed to help get the group members into the instance, regardless of /pick

Does this have logic to handle complete wipes with corpse drag and rezz? And to use max distance for corpsedrag in-case of mobs close to corpse.

I think if you wipe on 1-2 mobs, then maybe re-gearing your squad or going back to TBL/RoS content may be your best route.

1-2 mobs? there are pulls that end up with 3 or 4 mobs. not bad if ur tanks is geared and ur healer/cc are doing their job. but you need decent heals and CC or be able to tank 3 or 4 mobs.

Been using this since it was in beta. atleast 2 or 3 pulls usually end up with 3+ mobs

Plenty of spots in Restless mission can and do result in 3 or more sometimes even 5 but with proper CC and disc that shouldn't be an issue.

Hey there Jayah!

The plugin was limited in full automation to keep the value of the RedGuides brand. CR is a manual task that is required by you and I (I wipe once in a while, fully T3 CoV geared group). I just added Aaryonar mission to MQ2Grind to farm XP and collectibles. It's a rough zone of white and yellow con mobs and can get upwards of 3-4 per pull depending on roamers. While the plugin helps a great deal, it won't play the game fully for you nor grant invulnerability to the game mechanics.

I cr'd 3 or 4 times in testing Aaryonar yesterday before today's patch. I totally get the frustration! =)

If you disable SafeMode in MQGrind.ini (by setting it to 0) the end of the wurm cave can get 6-8 depending on if all mobs are Wurms. Their social agro range is awesome and it gets exciting!

I run t3 cov geared group, shaman main healer and a bard for CC (kissassist, I use sl968's ini). Heals and CC are mandatory in my opinion. If your heals aren't keeping you alive, you might want to look at your heal settings from what ever you are using, and apply tweaks. If you can't tweak any more, you might be undergeared. In my signature there's a link to ToV and CoV gear matrix hosted on Google. Maybe it helps.

Me too!!

I use it these days, to replenish my Glyph AA's. I don't raid, so I'm limited to CoV t3 crafted gear and with that ... I went hDex build on my warrior. So going through the CoV Hero missions, I'm using a glyph each time. So I do the missions, then off to GD Grind, then back, and forth etc =)

hehe im still leveling toons to pick my form of a perfect group for each setup. i have 2 dif sets of 115s, and currently working a 3rd up. im a tad wierd. I shoudlve done all tanks on 1, healers, on another, CC/support on 3rd and each of the other 3 dps (which is what i did with my secondary set of accounts)
acct 1 - war/zerk/necro

acct2 - sk/bard/mage/enc

acct3 - cleric/bard/enc/shm

acct4 - paly/shm/bard/druid

acct5 - bst/rng/rog/druid

acct 6- zerk/rog/mage

then i have 6 more accounts that have sk/paly, clerc/shm, brd/enc, zerk/rog, zerk/bst, zerk/mage

Redbot updated MQ2Grind with a new update entry:

1/20/2021

--- Enhancements - Added instance support for Claws of Veeshan: The Crusaders and Aaryonar (mostly for rare collectibles) - Added configuration to wait for loot to be handled before recycling an instance (automatically added to MQ2Grind.ini) - Updated Score Card to include the instance name Resolved defects - Re-routed navigation in The Darkness Howls (GMM) to avoid getting stuck on a gear (thanks Phalanx) - Better error handling for group accepting an instance Caveats (known issues) -...

If using war and CWTN plugin. What mode are you running this in? Sic Tank mode ( mode 7 ) is allowing war to stand there and watch other members die when mob is right in front of him! If meant to run in mode 7 it would be wise to have him reset camp upon engagement of any mob so that CWTN plugin takes over when this one fails to engage mob. This is in GMM mission. Seems if clockwork Scavenger gets aggroed some how, he will not engage all the time!

Hey there Jayah!

The GMM bug with rats was reported to me yesterday for the first time. I know why it's happening after looking at the code, and during my testing, never ran into it as I have AOEs turned off on my crew. We all play differently! =)

I like your thought about resetting a camp as we progress around the paths, I've logged it as a feature so I don't forget about it. But first! Time to fix that rat bug. :)

Thanks for reporting the issue and not just manually working around it! Soon as I have a fix for this, I'll get the resource updated.

They're going to get aggroed having run gmm for awhile now you cant really avoid it and they give no xp which sucks.

Had a friend with a Pally who purchased the program. Somehow the mq2grind.ini file was not correct as he and his group got the mission and zoned in. The group went to the first spot and got buffed up, but his pally would not engage unless a mob aggroed the group. Be sure to use /grind resettank pal to fix it in case that happens.

The INI needs to be configured to match your group. Be certain you review the INI.

first part of the ini says to configure for who is tanking. Once you have that configured it works pretty darn well.
for instance for my paladin i have

Start=Start=/mqp on; /mac Kissassist Tank; /time 20 /camphere off; /timed 20 /returntocamp off
PullDistance=100
LTDistPullCmd=/docommand ${If[${Target.Distance} > 50,/ranged,/multiline; /nav target log=off; /timed 5 /attack on]}
GTDistPullCmd=/multiline; /cast Protest for Honor; /face; /timed 20 /nav target log=off; /timed 25 /attack on

Step 10 has gotten stuck for me on the Crusaders mission a few times. It's done it for me 3/3 times. using the RG mesh files.

We did configure the ini file just the way you have it set up Arander, but somehow it did not work. I wasn't there to confirm or see how it or if there were any error messages. All I know is that I had him type the command listed in my last post, and the pally started pulling and killing.

Thanks I'll give it a look. Are you running shrunk or full size? Is it a door that you can't open?

kool was just making sure. when i first started using the plugin i THOUGHT i had, then realized after it woudlnt work right that i had missed a step. fixed that and bam works great

Kael mission might need some tweeking as well. first pull is nuts. my bot crew has raid gear. what should i do for breaking that?

Kael entry is tough. 4 white+yellow con mobs. I called this mission out as "really hard" in the list:

I run CoV T3 group content gear crew. For me, "really hard" means that I run SHM and CLR in the group; I struggle running solo SHM for this entry.

EDIT: I realized that I kind of showed what's coming soon ... The Call (Sleepers Tomb) will be in the next update.

I've run this 4 times tonight (shrunk, unshrunk, and with and without levitation). I am not getting stuck at location #10. Would you me sending me a screen shot (in private message) or reach out to me on Discord the next time you run it and get stuck?

What are you getting stuck on?

I want to get this sorted for you but I can't recreate it.

I got it so it does flux staff and it's better. Melee pulling hurts.

I'll run the other mission tonight.

Feedback:
Skyshrine Mission - you don't need to engage every golem on the way to the bridge. You can zone in and nav to it pretty cleanly. There's only 12-14 mobs in the zone that drop collectibles, and the golems, while see invis, are easy to avoid.
In fact, my tank is pulling mobs that aren't even on the path to the drakes. I feel this needs a large overhaul for this zone. My first runthrough I'm losing melee off the bridge because of where the plugin is engaging mobs. My tank rushes them on the very sides, which means the melee strafe around and right off the bridge.

Hit me up on discord again, and we can work through some of this.
