MQ2Eskay

Plugin - MQ2Eskay (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

Just picked this up last night and in the 3hr of playing with it I am impressed. My SK went from being a kinda shitty slow to react tank that did piss poor dps with mule/kiss to a snappy resilient tank that busts out 500k dps every fight.
awesome! we're glad to hear virtuoso65, make sure to check out the FAQ and the other sticky items, there are a lot of "cool tips and tricks" that'll help make that experience even better

Thanks Sic, I watched your video's for the SK, sham and mage last night, have the cleric and necro one up next to watch.
I typically actually play my bard unassisted, think I would get much benefit from using the bard plugin?

I find using Refute of Power to pull does not always work on my SK, for instance some mobs in Dead Hills i am guessing Undead he just gets stuck continuously trying to pull.
Any ideas? can i pull with a Life tap like the lower levels?

Currently set BYOS on and un-memmed Refute of power and it pulls with melee which aint great.

no, but you can disable pull ability if you want to just use a ranged or melee.

if it is a mob you need to ignore you can /shd ignore I don't know why it wouldn't work on an actual pullable mob, i'd double check it is a mob you can kill and want to pull

Thanks, that is a good point. i may have confused a attackable and not.

ChatWithThisName updated MQ2Eskay with a new update entry:

5/23/2023

- Dicho is now Progressive Spell
- Cleanup deprecations
- if our health is at or above our lifetap health value we will now check our dots before many other things.
-- this will help getting your dots on the mob more quickly if you are in byos and using them.
- slow down checking for voice of thule
-- this is intended to help with eq server lag in that spell activating making mq/mq2eskay think it isn't casting a spell.
- Added Bifold usage

When my SK finally starts to meditate is there anyway to set it so SK does not start pulling again ill my Mages are at full mana? SK does not seem to use as much mana as the Mages and they are out of mana while SK keeps pulling so takes longer to kill mobs.

did you adjust your groupwatch settings?

INI:
/shd Groupwatch - 0|1|2|3|4 - Everyone, Healer, CC&Healer, Self, cleric only
/shd HpMedStart # - percentage of health you want to start waiting at.
/shd HpMedEnd # - percentage of health you want to stop waiting at.
/shd ManaMedStart # - percentage of mana you want to start waiting at.
/shd ManaMedEnd # - percentage of mana you want to stop waiting at.
/shd EndMedStart # - percentage of endurance you want to start waiting at.
/shd EndMedEnd # - percentage of endurance you want to stop waiting at.

you would adjust your groupwatch to be "All" and then what you want your start and end values for hp, endurance, and mana to be

Thank you for the fast reply and yes that fixes my issue I think

Yes that fixed it nicely :)

CWTN plugins are amazing already, but just a thought. if you are like me and have 2 SKs in the group the option to have a backup tank would be amazing if the first one goes down.

Just a thought.

if you want someone to take over being tanking - they'd just go into a tank mode, and if you want them treated as MA/MT, you would need to swap their role in the group window.

that isn't something we're going to handle

Yeah, that's fair haha it already does above and beyond.

That sounds like something that could be scripted with LEM, Lua Event Manager. Why not?
Highly recommend getting Microsoft Visual Code and learning some basic Lua.. then you can do almost anything you imagine.

Typically I'm running 2 different SK's on 2 different groups on 2 different computers. Both are obviously running CWTN Eskay plugin. When pulling up the map, one of my SK's gets all 3 circles (red, green and blue) while the other one only gets a green circle. I'm typically running both in puller tank mode, so both of them should get all 3 circles. Do I need to uninstall the plug in on the one with only the green circle or should I be doing something else to fix it?

No, likely means you have differ eq map layers visible.

Check visible layers

One very tiny thing I noticed. I will start to do the group 'thang' and about 3 or so minutes later, my SK decides now would be a good time to shrink my pet. Can this be something that is factored in after zoning into a new zone before it interrupts the flow? It is especially noticeable when doing the group mission Mean Streets when I am driving my SK directly. I zone in, make sure everyone is done buffing/doing their thing and I will be a few minutes into the mission and usually running from one Jak to another when my SK will unmem the dot and keeps trying to mem the shrink pet spell which then usually means I have to stop and let the SK shrink the pet or if I keep going, there will be an empty spell slot or worse the SK will continue with shrinking the pet having mem'd the spell while I am trying to engage.
My current options are to uncheck shrink the pet or manually remember to shrink the pet myself. I do prefer pets shrunk so I am thankful this is an option, I am just hoping it gets moved to the forefront fairly soon after zoning into a new zone before I engage.
If this is not something you are going to consider (especially since I hope your time is better spent getting the Ranger, Druid, Wizzy and Bard up and running!) I would be satisfied with knowing and I will continue to try to remember to pre-shrink my pet myself. Ty for your work.

What's your group makeup? Is someone casting an illusion on your pet?

If so, block the illusion component on the pet

Kookies is most likely spot-on here

We wait 3 seconds after zoning to do stuff, but not minutes to do things.

We also don't do any spell memorizing and that kind of stuff while you have stuff on xtarget, so if you'r xtarget is getting cleared and we otherwise think we need to memorize a spell and do something, then we're gonna do it

you can also turn off shrinkpet if you don't want to shrink pet (this wouldn't turn off if you had a pet shrink clicky added to your clickies, however).

I'd make sure you have group illusions blocked on your pet otherwise it'll need a shrink when it is above the shrink height

I block all these kinds of things, and I use a brownie or vitrik or sometimes scorpion illusion

since we're having this conversation i would also ensure you understand about blocking these recourse buffs too

/blockspell add pet 59238 59239 59240 62734 62735 62736

@Sippi Or…get better gear, aa’s, do progression, and…add a cleric…it is rare that mysk will go down with a cleric using mq2cleric…and i suck at pulling and generally swarm even of higher shit. If your sk drops a lot find the post where we gave you the list of clickies to go after

I will check to ensure these spells are blocked. When I first started out, I disliked the 'wolf' 'mana' etc look and blocked those years ago. Visually, the pet is a skelly pet - I have not seen an illusion on the pet in ages. I appreciate the spell list 'spelled' out for me /bow rather then stumbling on them as I find them.

I won't be able to check this until maybe tomorrow at the earliest.

Just curious what's the Light Green Circle represent on the map?

Using MQ2Eskay I know the dark blue is your pull radius and smaller red circle is your camp radius.

So is that Green Circle that's in the middle of the other two Chase distance or spell range or what?

that has nothing to do with brewall's map pack. gonna move this from the brewall's map pack thread to the mq2eskay thread

green is your cast radius of your "pull ability", it stays with you as you move because that is the the radius you can pull with

Just got Eskay BST and SHM the other day and I'm very impressed. I just have one thing I can't figure out, for some reason hlf the time I can't get them to turn on auto attack in combat. Once I turn it on manually (regardless of which 8 modes I try) they go ham. I wasn't sure if it's because I changed the autoattack keybind or what? Any clues?

I did watch the https://www.redguides.com/community...-clickies-pulling-etc-check-here-first.76746/ video
Tank is presentlly on puller tank mode, in camp getting punched in the face not fighting back, (not paused), just the shaman spam healing him.

Nope, we don't care what your autoattack button is.

Make sure you have your tank/mt set in your group window, and then put your assist toons (like bst/shm) in an assist mode (1if you want a camp, 2 to chase, etc) If we're group leader and go in a tank mode, well set ourselves as ma/Mt.

Check out the sticky and specifically watch the "how I move my toons" vid

His giant screenshot just to show the little icons for maintain and main assist? I don't even see it showing you're in a group.

Pretty unnecessary. You could just say "yeah Mt/ma in EQ are set"

Did you check the link I asked you to and check out the guide?

Skipping that info is going to hurt you.

Shm doesn't have an option to not assist your ma, so outside of blocking your xtargets so nothing is populating, we're going to assist the ma. For the bst in an assist mode, we're going to do the same.

Check the stuff I mentioned.
Check xtargets populating on those toons.

It is pretty simple, there shouldn't be any gotchas, so check out that stuff and you'll be golden

Xtargets get automatically cleared off on BST "You are note able to use Group/Raid assist target or Group tank's target as a designated Xtarget slot, it messes with agro detection" I have slot 1 as puller's target and the rest as auto. Sorry about the large screen shot, I assumed a picture was worth 1000 words, my bad.
I'm actively rewatching the move your toons guide, it was helpful the first time I watched but maybe I missed something

If puller is MA it breaks aggro detection. Put everything on autohater and let bots do their job and you will be happy. If you want to know what the puller is targeting, look at pullers client.

The only reason to set xtarget to something specific is if you use xtarget healing or xtarget buffing. Those would be players.

Just my 2 redcents.

As an observation, I'm not picking on you. (Sic can attest I am FAR from perfect!) - I just can't help but notice your Effect window (buff icons).

For an SK to not miss any buffs, AA's, other classes casts, Mob's de-buffing you, etc. that give buff opportunities, you should clean it (you can also make it about half its current size - as it's impossible to fill).

We all max out at just 42 buff slots, your screenshot shows like 35 icons, if you click spire & visage (add familiar buff) Janns veil? etc. You wouldn't get some heals and what not to land on you.

Those 5 or so "shadow of_ _ _ _ _: Permanent" buff icons could (should) be clicked off, especially on an SK. Unless you are raiding Fear 😊 or like maybe one other zone - there isn't much in game that dispels your buffs anymore, so having them as placeholders isn't needed.

If you click and read the description of those icons, they tell you "This spell has no effect". Clicking the item you're wearing, gives an "item effect" AA under the "special" tab, so that spell ability is now a passive effect.

There other spells to block as well (spell casting haste, etc. - but I won't open up that can of worms).

Best of luck, SK'n is hard enough, thankfully there's MQ2Eskay!

Thank you so much, I just came back from a like 10 year hiatus and we used to have to click the gear for buffs, so I think I just did it reflexively and didn't even read them.
