Hi All,

I have a new SK at level 60 and he is trying to continuously cast the Deathly Temptation spell, but it's getting blocked by chanter KEI. Is there a way to stop him casting Deathly Temptation? or would you suggest I block KEI?

My opinion, block other classes buffs before your own. Unless you are always with the same group makeup.

this isn't really an mq2eskay question.

max songs in your song window is 30 songs

I don't recall running into an issue with songs.

you definitely don't want bullshit in your regular buff window like "shadow of buffslot takingliness"

Why would you want a camp over 100. That's a massive radius. Its programed not to go over 100. Now puller radius is different

Yes. The window only allows 100 on purpose. 100 is pretty unusual. If you want it bigger use the slash command.

Also please make sure to post mq2eskay questions in the mq2eskay thread.

This is not true. You can have over 100 using the slash command. We make the window not allow to go higher so fat fingers dont make you have a bad time some 100+ is pretty unusual
 
Hi there Sic, sorry if this has been asked before, I realize it is probably not supported, but I started my own EQMU server and having problems with SK crashing when loading MQ2Eskay. .. this only started to happen when he reached level 23 lol... started a warrior (pay for eskay for live content)- not having crashing issues with any of the other plugins. (monk, enchanter, warrior, beastlord etc....)
Before uploading DMP files, i thought I would get it out there, I have attempted to search the forums for answers but have been not so lucky

1. unload plugin
2. load in shadowknight
3. add vampiric embrace to blocked buffs
4. load mq2eskay
 
Getting this message while in Puller Tank mode. However, no deaths/rez effects have occurred for said toon as well as no one in group (SK will still pull but takes much more time to pull due to the perceived rez effects). First time I have seen this. Restarted and reloaded plug, to no avail. Any suggestions?

You'd be pretty hard pressed to not have rez sickness for that to occur. You're even casting and buffing your pet as if you just died.

Are you sure?

Show me your buffs.

As usual, I appreciate the swift response and coming to the rescue. I de-buffed (should have tried this first) the toon completely and reset again and things now seem to be running smooth as silk. If this same error occurs I will, snip you what it is saying along with current loaded buffs.
 
Having same problem. It's just coincidental that I ran out of bone chips and had just gotten some from my necro to summon on this screen shot. Seems to be happening now and then with a 82 shd. My 120 shd is running without any issues.

Follow up: As soon as I remove a single buff, SHD will take off running and pull as usual. After fight, it'll say have rez sickness again. I cancel another buff and does the same thing. Action is repeatable.

It appears as though at lower level, if you max out your buff slot, you'll run into the I have rez effect issue. I blocked off some buffs and freed up the buff slots and now the SK is pulling again normally. Caught this by accident when I noticed my lesson wasn't sticking.

"show your buffs" means "please show me your buffs with all of your buff names showing". despite how much we know about the game, i don't possibly know all the different icon packs

So I been playing around with this on my sk. I do like I can have it set up they way I want. Out of this spells set I use, I did notice it will not use Blood of Tearc. Is there a way to make it work that I am missing or is this dot just not in the code?

The code is in there to cast it, same as the other spells.

Here is me casting it as expected.

Make sure you have adjusted your dotmanamin appropriately, because if you are below your dotmanamin, you're not going to cast dots.

So I set my dotmanamin to 40. Pulled mobs and still is not casting it. Maybe it will not with my group set up? I have a cleric, shaman using plugins. Shaman does hybrid. I have a necro, wizard, and bard as rest of my box running KA macros.

the ability is exactly the same code as other dots for eskay - we don't check for mob stacking or dot groups, just that the mob doesn't have the dot by name - unlike other classes with dots, we actually don't gate usage based on mob health either

I'd make sure you aren't using an out of date target window, one that isn't displaying detrimental correctly.

Outside of that, the code appears the same, and i don't appear to be able to duplicate the issue - it casts as i expect it to. obviously dots are lower on the routine that lifetapping and staying alive with defensives - but i see no reason assuming your dotmanamin is correct, and that you have you have a valid target window

by saying to check that you have your dotmanamin set, i wasn't necessarily asking that you say what it was set at - just that the value of the "minimum mana to use my dots at" is low enough for the mana that you have.

so not really sure --- let me know about your target window

Is there a way to make your SK in pullertank mode not jump out at the mobs when they are incoming to camp? Sometimes I'm noticing the SK will jump out super far from camp--which is not ideal. I'd like him to sit at camp and wait for the mobs to come beat on him....

Also, have you noticed the buggy mob pathing in GD? Looks like the mobs run to the camp on incoming then run away for a second, then run to, and some will do this a few times before eventually engaging, which can make tank positioning very awkward at times....

howdy bmar

well the mob will move to engage the mob as soon as they are in the range you're said to use, which is your campradius. so adjust campradius lower --- I wouldn't recommend anything lower than like 45 for normal usage, 60 is what i keep mine all pretty much fulltime on all my toons

yes mobs have always been buggy in GD - it is especially bad on laggy servers like FV
 
So I did some messing around, and the way to get it to work all the time was to shut off UseLifeTap. Once it stopped chain casting the taps it would drop the dot. Which is odd since my other 2 dots were dropped right from the beginning of engaging the mob. My UI is the default UI so I knew the target window was not the issue.

they are probably refreshing before it gets around to checking to cast the dots - dots are much lower on priority

don't really have much plan on changing that, but i'll give it some eyeballs
 
the only way that would be possible is if your unity spell was only high enough rank to give you the poopy covenant verison (i believe it is rank IV that has the super old gixblat) - in which case we could cast the actual higher spell version afterward anyhow

and dark lord's azia is also used as the "stuck spell gem" stuff - so its also possible that it is casting that if you are manually casting spells (you can turn off the stuck spell gem check stuff if you want)

you can look up anything at places likes alla's > here <

The FAQ even tells you multiple ways to block it. by name, by clicking the icon, or by putting in the id. if you inspect the spell you will see the ID


you can tell by the page name being "=25610" that it is the spell ID, but i still always click on lucy and look for "id" in the raw data area

but yes, 25610 is the id for that spell

Having a problem with MQ2 Eskay and MQ2 enchanter - the Helot covenant gets blocked (and is cast over and over) by the mana regen from the chanter (Perspicacity) and then no more pulls occur from the SK in Puller Tank mode. How do I deconflict these?

This item is specifically addressed in the > MQ2Eskayt FAQ <



Q. I appear to be chain casting Azia/Beza - or the buffs that azia/beza cast like covenant line?
A. Do you have any enchanter buffs on you? you likely have an issue that MacroQuest is reporting to mq2eskay that, despite having voice of sagacity, that you still need covenant. You should decide which one you want and add the other one to your blocked buffs.

There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs


EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

/blockspell add me id
/blockspell add pet id


Make sure you understand that if you block the covenant part, you need to block the skelly illusion part as well, since that is part of that spell.
 
@icespear - did you manage to resolve your crashing problem on EMU. I have exactly the same problem with MQ2ESKAY crashing when he hit Lvl 23 on EMU, I did try the workaround by blocking Vampiric Embrace but still keep crashing as soon as I re-enable MQ2ESKAY. Just wondered if there is something else I am missing.

This is the only known crash for eskay. You can check the faq in case you need help ensuring it is blocked
