MQ2Enchanter

Plugin - MQ2Enchanter (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

I've been leveling up an enchanter with my alt group and have had trouble with the enchanter mezzing groups larger than 2 but only when the blue AoE icon is highest level. Once the green is highest level he performs AoE mez fine. So 93-94, 98-99, and now again at 103 he won't mez at all if the pulled group is more than 2 until they get down to 2, then he'll single target mez. The last couple times I've played him I used BYOS and kept the green spell (Mesmerizing Stare in this case) in slot 4 and he did fine with groups of 3. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do I just need to keep using this workaround with AoE mez?

nope, if you're running into limitation/gaps with your spells and what level they will mez at which is what im guessing your issue is - then you will want to do exactly what you're doing

but i'll take a look in case that isn't the case
 
@Butterface figured it out - it was in fact an unknown issue that i've fixed.

I had to do some broad guessing on a bunch of details - which is why we always ask for more information or just assume it is as is given to us :p

I'll test it a bit before i send it up the line.

Newbie question. Does Chaotic Puzzlement pull aggro? I have taunt off on the Chanter pets, but the Chanter somehow pulls aggro from the Warrior tanking. Or do I have an ability on that I need to check off in group? Thanks in advance, Chanter is completely new to me so still figuring it out.

nope it doesn't have aggro/threat if that is what you're asking (outside of threat from mezzing) --- you'd be annoyed AF irl if someone was mezzing you over and over

make sure your war is group MT or in a tanking mode
 
Your doppleganger pet taunts like a mofo

slso tick tashb4mez which may help getting mez to land without repercussions

chaotic puzzlement has a better resist modifier than standard addle.

Make sure you have the chanter buff composite reinforcement blocked on your warrior. The proc from it has a deaggro component.
 
LVL 117 chanter keeps loading perplexing wave for AE mezz even in umbral plains lvl 118 mobs. I have the upgraded versions, but its not being used .. if I use byos then it will use.
Is this intended or needs a tweak for scaling on Test?

can you show me mq2enchanter memorizing perplexing wave? because after ensorcelling and quelling wave - we don't memorize any of the wave line including : bewildering, neutralizing, perplexing, deadening, slackening, peaceful, or serene

Terribly sorry to waste time it seems that its an old spell set i had loaded/stored and it just skips gem 2 (leaves empty )which is where its located in my previous line up.

Brilliance (5k added to damaging spells)

Weapon/Shield
2HB - DPS (10-11k non-crit dmg per proc) - Procs 10-11k damage per damaging spell, melee proc 10-11k per proc.
1H+Shield - Has a chance to return mana each time you cast a damaging spell, melee proc restores up to 310 mana per proc.

Been trying to get my enchanter into the more modern era (have to retire my Stein of Mogok and Shissar Staff) and saw these gear items listed in the first post from Chats, but there are no names or clickable links. I saw something similar on the MQ2Mage discussion but those did have names and clickable links. Any and all info is always appreciated.

newer gear items follow a "line"... so brilliance belt, will be on spell cast, chance of doing X proc (dmg) 2hb, base have + chance on spell cast... caster sword and board is chance to get mana.

As durango mentions the gear follows a "line" or tiered gear setup where they do the same stuff essentially (newer ones are more powerful as you increase in level/expansion tiers) so putting specific links may be helpful to guide a player in the right direction but adds a sort of level of maintenance requirement to stay relevant. Where-as non-specific items just directing towards what "type" of gear to use will give you the general idea of it, and allow you to find the expansion/level appropriate gear for your character and not introduce a need to update the information as new expansions are released.

Consider it was a choice to reduce the workload or expectation while also providing useful information.

No worries. Fair enough. Like I keep saying, ad nauseum, this game, in its current iteration, is totally alien to me. I came back with a level 69 that in current terms was low level and under geared. Please do not misunderstand, I am not being negative about RG - I am loving the experience so far with a lively bunch of fellow gamers. You're not wrong. But 85+ has been a thing since Seeds of Destruction released in 2008. So 14 years in the past. It's all been molded into this "cookie cutter" style where everything is basically the same as the previous expansion just add ranks. Including focus effects/clickies/spells. Prior to that things are all over the place. Take for instance that berzerkers are pretty much trashcans early levels and it's not until I'd say level 101 where they really open the doors of their potential with dichotomic rage progressive ability line. Add AA's and cookie cutter focus gears and things get pretty wild in EQ pretty quick for any/all classes (except wizards, they suck). The upside is once you learn these pre-defined upgradable things they've come up with you'll know it for a long time. It'll feed your gaming addiction for many expansions to come. T1 (non-prestiege, standard open world named), T2 (prestiege, looted in missions), T3 (no drop once combined, prestiege crafted) with their focuses/clickies by class/class type) AA's are an obtain once. Which augs to get for what classes and why. It's all documented somewhere, and just a matter of finding the ones relevant to you.

Two zones with notorious bad meshes. In fact, didn't you and I already talk about specifically combat scar morweena camp? If not, yup, that is a zone that can have nav issues due to your mesh.
I'm having this issue as well in Umbral plains, and it is only the chanter doing it. If I'm near the building that leads to VT, he wants to meet the mobs about half way back to camp. camping https://tol.eqresource.com/telarisxeturisun.php if you look at the primary spawn location on the map I'm just north of it usually. another nightmare case in the same zone is camping https://tol.eqresource.com/sylrafris.php where typically i stage up in the top of that chamber and in yet my chanter is all around the base of the hill in there.

I'm now pausing on pulls and unpausing as mobs are in camp. and LoS my chanter is facing away from most of the mobs lately instead of the camp. all of my other toons enjoy the nice comfy semi circle we set up in for therapy slaughter sessions

enchanter moves to get line of sight for mezzing in all modes that are not manual mode.

if you want to not move to get line of site for mobs that are entering your camp either a: adjust your campradius so the mobs don't enter it as early or b: be in manual mode

line of sight does not include facing the mob
 
Hi there. This is my first cwtn plugin and I've been watching videos and reading posts forever to try to figure it all out but I still have 2 questions I'm hoping are simple answers.

1) Is there a way to turn pet off completely? I like to off night raid on this character on Rizlona TLP and I don't want to charm, but I also don't want to deal with the gimpy enc pet because it has no pet hold yet on that tlp.
2) Is there a detrimental version of addclickie that's not buff related? I would really like to be able to slow with my Serpent of Vindication because its faster and has no recast / mana cost. This will be useful on TLP for at least a year. I'd also love to be able to dispel with my Wand of the Vortex. I just wasn't sure if these things were supported yet.

Hi all.

By now everyone knows I cam back to EQ after 18-years so the game is like a new game to me and I have sooooooo many stupid questions. This question/request might be in the wrong sub forum so I apologize in advance, yet again.

So I have been running an aura on both MQ2Cleric and MQ2Enchanter. When I go to update some spells on the Enchanter, it said I was missing blah blah and blah blah. Well one of the blah blah's was an aura called Learner's Aura. I go over to the spell vendor and see that Learner's Aura increases group exp so I said what the heck; it is like a free potion, so I buy the spell. I also see in the plugin you can specify 2 Aura's. I was like Yeah Boy. So here is the question or the topic I need clarification, when I went to research Aura's on Fanra's, it said most classes can use one Aura at a time. If this is true, does the plugin switch aura's automatically, and how does it decide if or when to switch? On the cleric I am running damage mitigation (Pious Something or Other) and the Enchanter is currently running Mystifyer's for the mana regen. Is it possible for the enchanter to run both at the same time?

I am babbling again so I will shut up and watch for feedback from the more learned than I.

Ok. I think I answered my own question. There is a level 81 AA that let's the enchanter have 2 aura's so now the decision is to run the mana regen or the exp aura to get to level 81 sooner. I am already double dipping on mana regen with Group Crack from the Enchanter and Beastlord, so maybe I should forego Crack aura until level 81?
 
Some classes (notably Cleric and Enc) can run 2 aura's at the same time. For Cleric the AA that allows this is Spirit Mastery which is a lvl 85 AA. I do not know what the ENC one is called but I would expect it to be Underfoot expansion and around lvl 85 in the class tab as well.

Auroria Mastery is the AA for enchanter to allow to have 2 auras
available at lvl 81 in SoD expansion

Enchanter will mez so long as you have mana. Set the dot min and nuke mins in a way that they leave you mana to mez. Then use learner's.

You will always burn through you mana if you're nuking and dotting but is usually sustainable to mez with mana regen spell despite not using the aura.

I don't think I've ever used the disempowered aura, so you've given me something new to try, thank you. I wonder though based on the concept you mention above if that would be a useful option to have as a checkbox option that the enchanter will do during combat.
If checked or command lined, the enchanter will auto remove auras and then cast Disempower and then recast whatever auras you had before.

I cannot get a picture of it right now, but I will tonight if it's needed. Yes, I am using the MQ2Enchanter plugin, and yes, I am looking at the correct toon. No, unloading, and reloading does not fix it. In the MQ2Enchanter window where all the settings are, it is in fact using the Enchanter plugin. It's the MQ Chat window where it's showing BRD.

If this is a known issue, sorry for asking it again.

I scrolled up, and for some reason kissassist was running (there was a message saying, "loading spells from kiss, even though I am running MQ2Enchanter plugin. I was using KissAssist before I got MQ2Encanter. I ended that macro, but this MQ chat window is still spamming stuff for BRD. My war is not sending commands. Dannet is loaded. Something is obviously conflicting. Every other class is working fine, and I am plugins for them all.

I just had a lightbulb go off. I know what the problem is.

Nope. It's still doing it. I forgot to change the Enchanter settings in /grind show dialog box. I had it on KissAssist, now I have it on CWTN. But, in the MQ chat window, it's still spamming BRD.

That is the fact you have echos on for Dannet. turn off echos.

That is not mq2enchanter, that is mq2grind sending a command to your toons, and then the commands being echo'd to your mq window

Check out the commands for local echo and command echo if you don't want to see those things
