My easy find works great, but I do have a question. How do I make my toon stop before it get to the target? right now once I hit find, its off to the races. I can change targets no problem and toon will travel to there. But is there a way to just make them stop? Went through the tread and didn't see anything, maybe I just missed it.

you can make your mq2nav stop or pause on keypress

I use "stop navigation" for my "Break behavior" in my /nav ui -> settings

Also request to single-click in the find window to begin going, instead of having to control click everything. Same with group moving, control-shift-click is a little cumbersome, right click was 1000% better. Or at least add an option to change the functionality back to how it used to be, which had a far better reach of ease for usage. The current system seems like a QoL downgrade.
 
We differ in opinion on that. I mostly kept the old EasyFind unloaded because of the crashing in PoK, but that it hijacked my Find window also bothered me a lot.

here, have a sad react since you went and sad reacted me helping people about the your request above there =p

as far as a QoL, it was a personal adjustment for me from a muscle memory point of view, but I have come around to knightly's point of view about there about things getting hijacked. This is one of those things that probably shouldn't have been that way in the first place, and continuing something just because how it is, isn't always a good thing.

I don't think you're alone in your opinion, however - especially "out the gate" because it is something to get used to

Definitely something to get used to. The thing went from a one-handed motion to requiring two hands to use now, and anyone using MQ2 because of a disability (I am not one of them, but I know several who do), or I guess more like me where I'm probably sipping some coffee or eating leftover pizza, has to make that adjustment.

I've been trying to run this on next, can see the ui etc but when i Ctrl+ click on something to nav to i get "Cannot navigate - no mesh file loaded."
I don't see any option to update from the mqnext drop down but have ran the mesh updater for vv.

If you run the migrator script, it will put your meshes in the correct place...otherwise you have to move your meshes to resources\MQ2Nav yourself.
 
I'm guessing it happened when I switched to Next but I used to be able to use the zone guide or find and my toons would auto run there. Now it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

Have you tried to------press and hold CTRL key and then left click the npc in the find window. This will have your character go to that NPC or Zone.

Now if you want to get the whole group to move there just press CTRL + Shift and then left click the NPC or Zone.

This should get the whole group going there.

Works great in NEXT so if your not using it ... give it a try...

ok if you you need to ...treat me like I m dense here cuz I m feeling it.... with live for example all I did was control f clik on Essedera off he went....now I just get a lil path to and nothing more. So using Essedera for example what do I do? and really thanks for the input, since you put me on to next kind of liking it better but that find / travel thing is a issue
 
Wrong thread! Find window is not part of MQ2Nav! But the answer to your question is literally right at the top of the window AND in Sic's post!

Failed to find a path to your destination message in KV ....are there updates or soemthing I need to build? some are findable in zone couple are not?
 
Hi so i've download all the meshes, now prior to moving to mqnext when i would hit find it would auto run to whatever i select. Now it turns me in the direction but doesnt auto run just shows the yellow line

that is because in the "next" easyfind we no longer hijack eq commands like that.

As mentioned in the > Migration, Function, Features Guide < there are a couple of things that are different:

mental notes:
1. mq2map click is Control+Shift+Click
2. new easyfind self travel is Control+Click (reminder in find window title bar)
3. new easyfind group travel is Control+Shift+Click
4. If you selected a destination in your zone guide and want to activate it you /travelto activate
5. /yes and /no are now aliases !yes and !no if you need them.

The find window actually shows it says you have to Ctrl+Click

I had to add one for maidentwo

I don't know if it is so much that the yaml needs the connections as the navmesh is probably not making the connection past the zone line. However, there is one of the expansions (can't remember which one off the top of my head) that doesn't list any zone connections in the find window, thus needing the connections in the yaml to work.

Some zones with floors that you have to click through can be an issue as well. Hopefully something in the works for this.

I think this is easyfind related, if not, just let me know. In PoK, When I navigate to "The Nexus" via the cntrl+click in the Find window, it navigates to the Field of Bone stone, opposed to the Nexus stone.
 
for example going to KV while in ME, going to Kela in KV, or going to ME while in KV...most being in TOL .....I can comprise a list of them all for you if you wish.
Can you double check that resources/Zones.ini has the ToL zones for you?

Are you using MQ2 or MQ?
 
I updated my INI to the one above but it still cant find Ka Vethan from Maiden or vice versa. :shrug:
Put this in your zoneconnections.yaml file. (might have to adjust the formatting)

Maidentwo is one of those funky two layer navmesh files and the zone connection is ring in the middle of an open hole. :)
 
Not sure what is going on or if anyone has been having this issue, but from PoK when I do a zone search and then do a /travelto activate toon runs to Field of Bone and then Zones to PoK then zones to Field of Bone and am unsure how to make it stop or get out of this loop outside of full shut down.

Once zoned out of PoK and the /travelto activate is issued it seems to run fine, just cant give command from within the PoK zone. Will try to run some more instances and see if you can run the command from a zone that would go through PoK.

*Sic was unsure of where to put this post since it could/can be mixture of different instances so please place where you believe it best fits in lol

Have you updated to the latest? Done any editing to the zoneconnections.yaml?
