Release MQ2EasyFind (2 Viewers)

anyone else crashing with easyfind plugin loaded? its the only plugin ive recently added and i keep crashing on all 6 clients (have also crashed when loading a single client). After unloading the plugin im able to play just fine
 
On which build. Beta? Test? Live?

Does it show the crash dialog? Are you given the option to save a zip crash dump file?

added a few more, new easyfind now take the door: keyword as well see ini example at the bottom:
Fortress Mechanotus is such a weird "zoneline" since its location is in mid air of dragonscal hills, due to the catapult getting u there...
so since the catapult is actually a Door and it has id 6, I added a location close to it and then the door id, and now if u click it in the find window it will run up to that location and click that door...

I also like to mention that easyfind now also works with th zone guide, if u have meshes loaded and click activate path it will actually run u to the end zone.

Amazing work guys. The addition of the zone guide is awesome!

How hard would it be to get that working in a chat command? Like If I were to try and get my group to navigate to Paludal Caverns from PoK using EQBC.
 
Right now it's just the activate button in zone guide but we'll get that to the command line as well in the next version, I just have to work out some kinks.
 
Because of the very nature of MQ2Nav and it's "radius" option creating a radius around objects such as POK Stones, it often happens that the locations used by EQ are not on your mesh. I've done POK. Doing PoTranquility.

The following have been checked/changed

Verified Stone from Innovation to Tranquility works properly.
Verified the door from Justice to Tranquility works properly.
Plane of Disease to Plane of Tranquility and visa versa cannot get it to work regardless of loc provided due to needing to go through dropoffs. However provided location for Disease that gets you a step away from falling.
Verified Reef of Coirnav to POTranquility works properly.

All other PoTranquility Zones connections appeared good.

Issue going from GD to EW due to invisible wall in mesh. Issue corrected with above location. Kaen mentioned this in a post but failed to update the wiki. So I've updated the wiki with the location I found before noticing his post :-)

Was being reported by easy find as -71.97 113.95 0 which did not exist on mesh.
 
Since the patch now all I get is the path but dont go to the person. What changed and why with that?

download the mesh file pack and it will work again, already helped two others with teh same issue
 
hmmm i extracted the mesh packs into mq2nav and mq2easyfind still isnt working correctly. When I hit the find button, I get a list of whats find able, I click on a group member and before the patch I would automatically then run to that person. Now I only get the highlighted route, and in the MQ window it says its going to that person but doesnt...
 
yes. it still isnt working. I do not understand why this has stopped working...it worked great before that patch so what changed?

I never ever had to reload nav or even mess with any plugins it just worked. IE I could hit find, then hit either a group player in the find window or a campfire or whatever and that player would run there. What has changed since the patch???

I get the following

Path received and successfully initialized.
MQ2EasyFind: Going to (Group)->Redguides (Path)

But I never move. I just see the path. It was not like that before lol.
 
I imagine you will find that if the ingame "find" path isn't working (not making a path), the plugin wont. At least that has been my experience in the past. Have not really been on since the last patch though, just posting random thoughts.
 
I've been having the exact same issue since patch. In game find path appears, MQ chat box says npc found, etc, but my characters never mover
 
I just downloaded the meshes Jamie75 linked, and my toons will now navigate to npcs. However, I think OP was talking about meshless pathing. Is that a different pluging altogether? Doesn't matter for me anymore as long as easyfind keeps working in every zone with these meshes. Thanks Jamie!

Easyfind...hit find on eq button...a list of find able things come up...i was able to click on them and my toon would then move there. Now they dont move there, just have the path though in the mq window it says they are navigating. I have tested it from 50 yards away and still wont work. I never loaded any plugins before for this.

Go to PoK.
Type /nav ui
Is the mesh loaded? Click "Reload" and it should say the mesh was successfully loaded.
 
All i get when i type /nav ui is:

is mq2nav loaded? /plugin mq2nav

Hrm, tested on one of my toons - the darn ui wouldn't show up either...

You can reload by /nav reload and see if you get mesh loaded message
 
I'm having issue with easyfind also, I think its related to Z-axis. It won't plot a course if its beyond a certain zrange (like on steps) but will on level ground. I've also noticed similar behavior in mq2nav, a differing Zaxis destination returns a message that it's too far away.
