I'll have to look, unfortunately if the it doesn't cast what it says it does you won't be able to use it
 
In a raid setting, I have everything set as normal. Drive toon is set as group assist, melee assisting in chase mode. When I need to get off a target, and move away what I do is target myself, or someone in group to get the berserkers off the target to follow me. However, in a raid setting the nelee do not follow my target and stay on the target. Even "come to me" doesnt work, or changing targets dont work either.

What am I doing wrong?

Raid mode uses Raid Assist and not group assist.

What I usually do is have a Raid MA, and have group MA in raid mode. Then group members of that toon doesn't go into raid mode. They will assist the group MA instead of the RA, and you have the group leader assist the RA which in turn causes the toons in their group to assist.

Yep what chat said. They're gonna follow their raid assist if they're in raidmode. If you want to manage them either be a raid assist, or be group ma and not in raidmode
 
My driver toon is set to group MA.

When I switch from one target to another they follow fine. However, when I want them completely off all targets (DPS OFF) I target myself, or someone in group... but melee keep on attacking.

Am i doing something wrong? why wont they get off the target?

Raid does not have a raid MA set. Guild does not set raid MA, and some are not RG friendly.

if you have switchwithma turned on, and their ma targets itself (or have no target, no target is not as good of an idea since if you have no target and take damage, you will gain that target) they will back off. I demonstrate this in any video that requires backing off. this assumes you're in chase/assist/vorpal etc and not manual mode. you'll also not want to be in raid-mode since you're not using raidassist.

it is pretty curious that you say it doesn't work in raid setting but it does in group setting.

are you sure they're not stuck navigating somewhere? like, navigating but get stuck in spiderweb/wall --- you'd want to "come to me" on that, cause they still think they're navigating. I know you said "come to me" doesn't work, but it is all curious.

the plugins don't care if you're in a raid, unless you're in raidmode --- cwtn does what he mentioned, he has many of his toons not in raidmode, and just assisting their group MA, and then the ma of that group in raid-mode following a raidassist --- this obviously depends on needs. I utilize raidmode and just dish out ra1/ra2/ra3 and set assist accordingly (outside of special needs).

this can definitely cause that. for example if mimicme was stuck on a priest, your toons would act all crazy stopping attacking etc

again, outside of raidmode, we don't care if you're in a raid or not - so you can go test this anywhere

if you are in a group, and your using switchwithma, and your group assigned ma is targetting nothing, or targeting itself, and you have a target, we clear target - we also back off pets.

currently as im typing this i'm running 4 groups and switchwithma is working as expected.

I'm curious - are you running the new eq ui engine? if so, you might consider disabling that --- framelimiter doesn't do anything for the new engine, so your background toons might just be performing poorly because they're resource starved.

you can disable the new ui engine with UseNewUIEngine=0 in your eqclient.ini
 
and while it's not going to solve your initial concern. You said you were going one by one to each of your toons to hit escape.
You can do that with /keypress Escape
Couple that with your preferred method of communincating with other toons on your local network (Dannet / EQBC) Which would allow you to make a hotkey to hit Escape on all the toons at once.
 
I think I see the issue. Tell me what you think:
  • With my tank class as the driver I have him set to MainTank/MA, and all toons perform as expected. If I target myself, or someone else in group, the toons back off. If I hit "Esc" and have no target they do the same. I tried this with just MA set, and they perform the same.
  • However, I made my Bard group leader and set him as MA and I was able to replicate the problem I was having in raids. With Bard as MA the toons completely ignore all "back off" actions. If I hit "Come to Me" they will come, but will immediately turn back around and engage the mob. Even with MainTank and MA set they ignore all backoff commands and continue engaging the mob.
  • With Bard set as MA, if I switch mobs the toons follow and engage the new target. But will not back off.
Are tank classes the only classes that can be the driver toon? This was my setup at raids, its an all dps group with Bard as the driver. No tank in group.

their MA check only cares about if they are the group assigned main assist, doesn't care anything about what class, or anything else - which is why i provided the information that i provided

if you have your tank as the group leader, and they're tanking, then it is going to put its role back to where it is expecting it to be. it really sounds like your bard isn't MA.

I just stopped what I was doing to test and bard being group MA works as expected.

I imagine your group roles are incorrect - you should consider either a: making a non-tank the group leader, or b: use the temporary "setgrouproles" option to turn off auto assigning group roles

we're not going to back off every time you target a group member - it would mean if you went to heal someone, your toons would stop fighting.

you need to target > yourself < or > nothing < if you want them to back off.

this is universal and intentionally by design.

now you *could* clear your target and then target a group member or yourself and then a group member - assuming you did that long enough, it should work.

but just targeting a group member will not clear their targets (which is intentional)

just checked, looks the same to me unless there's a hidden extra space or something stupid in there, unless it's matching to the second line and not the first since it has 2 effects.

I use pullarc A LOT during my camp setup. There are times I want to pull a very narrow path to a mob that is quite a ways off so I will set the arc small. I've noticed there is a HUGE difference in size between 19 and 20 degrees. Why?
 
i'll have a look in a little bit - i imagine cause of how we're deciding to draw the arc - I seem to remember there being a reason why we had to do it in chunks of 10ish
 
yeah, this is due to how segments on the map are drawn, it can start doing really funky stuff - your actual mobs you're looking for are still correct, just the angle is funky at this level. we don't really have a fix for it atm, but we know about it now, thanks

I was upgrading gear and clicking for the AA upgrades and tested on two plugins (rogue and beastlord). I had the plugins initially paused and have not changed the default toggle for removing shadow buffs.

These were removed as expected:

I found the bug push the update and I built but there is a merge conflict at the moment so until you see a new very vanilla live this won't be active

would like to request that when moving, your toon pause a few ms longer before casting, Everytime i move and stop, it interrupts the spell it tries to cast, which takes twice as long to get the first spell on target. Not an issue if you're just standing around, but running/chasing/hunting/etc spells interrupt constantly. I have had 248 spells interrupted in the last 3 hours on my shaman, as an example.

stop moving when your shaman needs to do something.

this is a really silly question.

if i implemented it, you would say "the .5 second delay needs to be 1 second" or "the 1 second needs to be 2 seconds" - you could always just straight pause your toon if you wanted it to be paused and not do what it is supposed to do.

this is actually why chase distance exists AND we actually finish our casting before moving.

so if you're talking about mq2grind moving you when you're casting, that isn't cwtn plugins doing that.

anyhow.

no changes there.

No, I'm actually using my shaman to kill trash mobs while camping their epic, but it does it on all the casters to include sks and paladins who use spells to pull. They are running around killing things. They stop and interrupt their slow about 95% of the time and then have to recast it. I can't stop them cause I am not controlling them, they are in hunter mode. stopping the character to kill a mob would be more of a waste of time than interrupting spells.

Ever since obtaining Radiant Hawk Harness, it somehow gets added to my Downtime AddClicky section, on all my CWTN toons.

I repeatedly removed it, both via the GUI and via text command.

Every time I log in again, it's back.

What am I missing?

Just deactivate it and it'll stay deactivated :)

you are missing the part where we automatically add cloaks, mounts, familiar, and jann's veil (illusion) (this was changed Jan. 2024). so if you want them to be disabled, disable them, otherwise we're going to add it. if we add it, we will disable other things in those groups that match the item (disable a lesser mount, etc)

because if you have things that are considered "the best available to you" we're going to add them

imo, you should leave it activated, and turn on autodismount so you get the mount buff

Ah. Got it.
I had deactivated and removed it, and it kept coming back. Makes sense now.
I have a LEM that takes care of mount stat buff when it's missing, but this together with auto-dismount is indeed handy.
 
small QoL request. Please swap the zraidus low and high entries in all of the GUI's so they match the layout in the map. Not a huge deal by any stretch, but the OCD in me would prefer if those layouts were the same since my main screen pretty much always has a map open and some zones I alter those values often. The in game map puts the low on top.
 
Feature request:
Would be neat if there were an addclicky section for "Emergencies"
For example, click Valia Unyielding Bravery only when hp drops below 10% — instead of just in every defensive scenario. Or Drunkard's Stein even.
