Looks like there was no distance check in the xtarget logic for the /corpse

second problem, better logic tell your group/guild etc to auto consent or turn off xtarget healing.

One problem I noticed for ressing is:
In raid, no raidmode, extended target with tanks.
Tank dies 200+ feet away, cleric keeps targeting the corpse trying to drag/ress it, which breaks its healing cycle to group/exttar that needs it. Corpse is obviously too far to be ressed, but keeps being targeted. My solution is to hit my "/hidecorpse all" hotkey to get the cleric back to normal function.
Recommendation: Ignore corpses that are too far from drag range (50 feet?)

Second problem, as mentioned above:
Corpse is not drag-able / no consent / etc, and is 11 feet away. The problem is auto-consent is not on by default.
Resser (Cleric/Shaman) will not ress it, which means that the group grinds to a halt despite the fact the corpse is totally within ress range.
Recommendation: better logic, try to /corpse it and if that doesn't work then ress it anyways, although that could be problematic in the case of mobs/auras/cliff/etc. Maybe a toggle option is good here?

Well don't forget to fix the root cause of the problem...your tank sucks...maybe fix that too? lol....

just want to add - that if your people don't want to consent for rezzing, you can turn off userez and it will do none of the rezzing stuff. I'd recommend either getting them to have auto consent turned on, since that is as near to 0 effort as possible, or you turn off userez.

Is there a cross reference of the cleric's heal options to what the spell actually is for TLP's? Specifically, Pop era? I dont know to set thresholds to because I don't know what each option actually links to for teh heal spell. The descriptions on the instructions do not make sense to me when i look at the spell options.

this is mentioned earlier in the discussion and in the mq2cleric vid > At This Mark < - but the heals are as they are - heals heals are for category heal, sub category heal - the only exception to that is the lvl 51 remedy if you are not byos (it should be a quick heal, but eq has it as a heal/heal)

inspect your spells and you can see their category/sub_category

My guild basically has all mostly all boxed healers who have main tanks on extended Target.
The problem that my guild and I are running into is, or the work around I've found is to have to set our DurationHealsNoTMA to 0 so that the Shamans/Clerics don't HoT the extendedtarget tanks, but this causes them to not DurationHeal their groupmates, besides the MA.
Come to think of it, maybe an easier way would be to have a UseXTargetDurationHealing box?

nah, they use the non ma heal values for xtarget, and no plans on changing that. (there is a bunch of reasons why, not just we're jerks)

the thing with duration heal is its not going to do it on them if they're not local toons on cwtnbuffs anyhow. so not sure how you're having any issue like that in a raid with others. I'll take a peak at that just to double check there isn't something sneaking through - but it shouldn't even be doing it on non-local toons

hrm - it looks like that's the issue - it is isn't checking for the toon in cwtnbuffs correctly for a couple of these spells (mainly the duration heals)

tl;dr - was supposed to check for the buff (which means has to be local on mq2cwtnbuffs) and it wasn't checking for the buff if they didn't have a file (which defeats the point =p).

I know, in general, you don't take requests, but I found something, that is somewhat important I think, for all plugins. I would love to have maybe a setting that says, don't cast anything while in lobby.

Here is an example of what happens. Cleric dies, ports to lobby and waits for rez. She auto casts DI on herself (using an emerald) and then auto casts her 20 min recast mana boost, then gets rezzed and now she cant do the mana boost and needs to re-di. It seems like a huge waste on something that could easily have a zone check.

Honestly, I think you (Redguides in general as well) should have it so, we can make requests with a monetary value. ie, it requires $5 to make a legitimate request and every upvote is $5, once it hits a certain threshold, you do it.

1. - that is fundamentally incorrect - We literally make additions to the plugins on a daily and weekly basis. The majority of the requests that we get are for a very specific thing that is outside the scope of "just doing their job". I recently had a request for mq2monk that would do a 3 monk tanking rotation with forcing other monks to FD and cycle discs until its over and then FD and cycle in the next monk - that is just not a request that is going to get added to mq2monk.

2. you can pause or unload the plugin or adjust your settings upon loading into a zone you want to.
CFG File - so you would have a GuildLobby.cfg and inside the file you could have something like /if (${Me.Class.ShortName[CLR] && ${CWTN.UseDivineIntervention}) /clr usedivineintervention off

I'll add a check that if you're in a safezone, not to cast DI if you have a revival sickness

3. we don't plan on having a "pay to get what you want" option. sorry. We try and make any and all adjustments that make sense.

4. We don't need anyone to "put money where their mouth is". If something makes sense we add it as mentioned in #3.

We don't use Veturika's Perseverance or Quiet prayer in any "safe zone" like lobby or guild hall - so not sure what you're referring to. And we don't use quiet prayer or VP if the intended recipient has a corpse within 100 of us

Everyone has the ability to request features. I'm not sure why you feel as though you're unable to do so.

But as Sic said, we add stuff that makes sense. If someone pays me to add a feature that makes zero sense and I just add anything anyone wants to the plugins, then they become bloated with garbage and over complicates the plugins for no reason.

These are very much generalized plugins which try to focus on their respective classes. So while we do try to accommodate reasonable requests, they are still intended for the broader sense of the class as opposed to any specific play style. That isn't to say that your request was unreasonable (as it does make sense to not want to use it if you were killed and returned to bind), just keep in mind that some requests may be turned down.

We don't mind requests - that's part of making a good product and as mentioned, we add anything that makes sense.

yes it would. you would then use another cfg to turn it back on. i provided the link to the .cfg section which allows all sorts of personal customization.

but as i also said, i'm adding the "don't DI people who have revival sickness" so i suspect its not a problem - unless they hang out in the lobby until after revival sickness fades in which case they would want to utilize mq2react or cfg files to turn on and off their setting as their custom needs dicatate

There's a few suggestions / problems I have asked for or reported that have been added to the CWTN class plugins. They are definitely open to ideas and new ways of doing things that they had not intended for, but it's best if you give a use-case scenario that can be related to. Monk rotational tanking makes very little sense to basically everyone except those monks, but getting stuck trying to drag a corpse on xtar that's too far away (one of my reports) does definitely make sense.

There's been plenty of things I've asked for that have been shut down, like rebuffing in BYOS mode as long as you have those buffs part of your spell lineup, but no dice. Just keep trying, or finding new ways of doing things, that would maybe work globally for everyone using the macro/plugin/etc.

Is there a setting for MQ2Cleric to use the Light spell line? if i use BYOS and i have light and Complete heal my cleric never uses Light, and will always use CH. it's not so effective when healing squishy characters. If i take CH out of the spell set it will only HoT.

if you are in byos your heals are checked in your spell bar top to bottom, so if you have your CH earlier in your bar than your light line, its going to cast the CH first.

no. it already does use it if you have it memorized.

Non-byos it checks it before CH - because we're checking those spells directly.
in BYOS it checks it based on your spell order in your spellbar, this allows you to use any healing spells in your byos.

On the TLP at least remedy locks out your spell bar so you can’t cast another spell on cool down. So by the time you can cast another spell you can cast the higher lvl one again. If you want a video I can provide one to show you. Not sure if you have a TLP cleric to test with.

well, that's going to vary based if you have anything for cast time reduction - reducing the cast time will make that gap different.

Remedy will lock out your spell bar and NOT allow you to cast any more spells until the refresh is done. Casting either remedy will block you from casting any spells for the same duration. So in saying that you would only ever cast the higher lvl spell. Its the same mana, more health, and quicker cast time. You cast the higher lvl remedy and your spell bar is locked for ~2sec. You cast the lower lvl spell and your spell bar is locked for the same ~2sec. There is 0 reason to ever cast the lower lvl spell. Call it a shared cast timer or not. Either way you skin the cat, you can only ever cast one of them at a time. So you would only EVER cast the higher lvl spell.

I don't have a solution for this at this time, it would continue to be this way until their recast time changes at lvl 86.

In the meantime if you want to clear up that gem, you can use byos.

Changing the gem to another quick heal wouldn't really do anything, because as you said, the recast is such that as gem cooldown comes back, that heal is available again

I've lived with it for this long with out even noticing so its not a huge issue. Just sharing that you could free up a gem slot for lower level clerics. Put a cure up or some other spell since that's wasting a gem slot.

This is a little bit outside of the normal use-case, but I noticed some behavior today and just wanted to confirm how MQ2cleric selects the target for rez. The scenario was a 30char raid group recovering from a wipe. 4x clerics with epic 1.0s all running mq2cleric. I noticed the clerics all seemed to cast rez on the same char at one time. The reason I noticed was a char was not accepting rez, so all 4 of the clerics were chain rezzing the one char that would not accept. After I accepted I watched as all 4 clerics would select the same next target for rez until the remaining ~6 chars were rezzed. Is that expected behavior based on how rez target is selected?

yes, they pick a target and go and rez it.
they don't communicate with other clerics, they don't store anyone that isn't accepting rezzes, they just do their job.
it would make sense that they are get stuck on the same person if you don't have that character taking rezzes

Should be noted that characters use spawn search in a radius, it gets the nearest spawn matching the search results. So if all the clerics are standing on top of each other, they're all going to try and rez the same person

Yea that makes sense as the clerics were probably all still stacked pretty tightly on top of each other from meleeing during the fight. Definitely would not expect clerics to communicate with each other to coordinate rezzes. There could be some value in randomizing that spawn selection slightly where it sees X corpses in a draggable radius, and rolls the dice to pick which one it is going to rez. That might also make it so in a single cleric situation, if one player isn't accepting a rez, there is a chance the cleric moves on to a different target before coming back to that one. I understand this scenario is outside the normal design for group play, so if that noticeably slows down the rez decision it might not be a good tradeoff.
