MQ2AFNuke

Release MQ2AFNuke

Yeah, I'll check that out. I changed some of the way the med/mount logic works in that last update. So, I'll have to debug it while playing to see how to fix it.

If the plugin is controlling med, and making the toon meditate - say mana is below the med threshold, it will be very difficult, if not impossible, for a macro to break that med and cast spells (unless the macro told the plugin to stop... /nuke domed off, then resume when done casting /nuke domed on...). That may be your source of conflict. If you're using a macro for other functions, let the macro control meditation. That's why I changed the plugin to allow you to turn harvest on, and meditation off. It should still be able to use bucilic gambit/quiescent harvest/harvest of druzzil while your macro controls regular meditation and buffs.

Also, when I test this, I test it without a macro... I do have several macros configured, but haven't used any with this plugin (or MQ2Heals for that matter).

Is there a way to make the plugin load every time I load up EQ? As it stands right now I have to manually load up the plugin every time I load up my wizzy.

If you add it to your MQfolder the same place all the other plugins are, and the run the settings you can the check it to load with all your other plugins.

I've run the AFNuke2 macro and this plugin. I get about 20% more DPS with the macro, which makes sense as it's using the burn AA's. I like both; it strikes me this plugin might be better for raids when I want to control my burns. It's also possibly better for when I'm grouped and not boxing. Works well though. I'll ask the same question I asked for the macro, is there a way to configure this to use Dichotomic Fire as a GOM spell?

It is already configured to use Dichotomic Fire as a GoM spell. As long as it's memorized, the plugin will use it. :)

- - - Updated - - -

It will also try to use it if you have enough mana, it's available, and Chromatic Haze procs...

- - - Updated - - -

I am adding support for "Gift of Hazy Thoughts" proc too...

Some stuff I noticed for Mage:

It likes to chain cast Servant every time it's up which is kindof a drag when the mob is at 30%. It also wants to cast Bolt of Molten Shieldstone - but IMO this should be replaced with Meteoric Bolt (TBM spell). Meteoric is higher damage and less mana (although Magic vs. Fire resist).

I know it's designed for Wizzies but since some mage support was added figured I'd report the feedback.

Good feedback (would thank if I had more).

I personally like the extra swarm pet. but maybe a toggle of some kind?
Swarmpet=0/1/2 0=off, 1=cast only once, 2=cast-n-cast-n-cast till dead
or
Swampet=0-100 set to whar % you want it to stop casting it at (100=off, 0=cast-n-cast-n-cast till dead)

**I'm no programmer, just spitballing for jimbob.**

Any feedback is good. I can add support for Meteoric Bolt, whatever dichotomic spell you get, and some sort of stop flag for relentless servant/swarm pet casting. I suppose I could check... I do have a 103 mage. :p

It should... The offsets didn't change... I can recompile if you have issues. I will recompile when I make some changes anyway.

Meistro's suggestions for the Servant are great. Personally, I like the "once" feature toggle in KA (that's what I used for casting Servant previously) so a similar function would be awesome; however, the other options are definitely viable and I think that comes down to playstyle/group makeup/mana constraints, etc.

For the Dichotomic... I would have to do some parsing myself but from other reports I've gotten it's not worth it (specifically talking about mage).

I will say my main is not a Mage but I've played one for a while now - That said, I'm sure someone can provide better feedback on the Dichotomic and subsequent pet DPS though.

My experience with the Plugin since adding Mage / Chanter support:
Mage :
* INCREASED DPS. Went from between 15-20k to 35-45k on average with spikes of up to 70k.
* Increased mana use / NO support for clickies (I believe these to run hand in hand).
* Decressed Tank DPS - apx a 5k average loss (I believe this is due to the loss of the short term (30s) DS that he no longer gets).
* Increased Agro - a given with the increased DPS (have to do a bit more on Tank to hold agro).

Chanter :

* INCREASED DPS. Went from between 1-10k to 25-35k on average.
* Decressed CC - If it's not in camp before he starts nuking, it's not getting mezzed (2 mobs not bad, but 3 yellow and a red, a mez would be nice (darn roamers)).
* Increased mana use - Now uses almost as much mana as the Mage (think due to the lack of use of the mana dran DOTs).

----------------------------------------------------------

Requests:
Mage :
- Clicky support for summoned items if in inventory & ready (to "weave" in on global cooldown) (can create you an item list if you like).
- Maybe the ability to let it cast a DS on the MA at the start of each combat cycle if it's memed (can create you a spell list if you like).

Chanter :
- Maybe some kind of break / pause in to allow KA to mez if there are "x" (toggle variable) mob on Xtarget (If not mez capability/mez check added in).

General :

- Clicky Item Support for all supported classes - maybe the ability to set 5-10 items in a priority list and have it cast 1 item off the list per cycle (from top to bottom if ready).

------------------------------------------------------------------
I have tried using the KA DPS section to use clickies with minimal success - It may or may not use an item defined there. No reliable use or determination on what and when.
Experimenting with downshits now, they seem more reliable atm, but still unsure, might be able to fire clickies from there, also looking at possibly making Chanter pause the plugin from there if more than my desired max # of mobs.

Do let me know if there is any way I can help (105 Mage, 105 Chanter both all access, w/TBM).

Few questions since I just started using it (checked and didn't see these, sorry if there's a repeat):

Is it supposed to support utilizing spell Twincast? I had it loaded on my Mage and it never fired. Also, for Mage is it currently set to only utilize Force of Elements AA? e.g. Will it ever use VT or other "burn" type activated AA? Trying to decide what's going to be the best option for me with that since I like using many of them in general play, not just for named.

Remember, Mage and Chanter support were very basic. :p

Currently, it won't use spell twincast... That would be an easy one to add, and make it use it whenever it's up...
I am working on incorporating burns into it. Until then, the easiest way to do that would be with a list of holyshits, and let the plugin do the casting.

I haven't put any CC logic in for the enchanter... Just DPS so far. It will come because I use an enchanter a lot. :)

For the Mage clickies, get me a list, and priority. As for MA buffs, checking buffs on a target is a pain in the ass, and I haven't written anything to handle that yet. You have to target the person, wait for the game to tell you the buffs, etc... then track them. :p I'll put some work into it when I have some time.

For the chanter, just set him/her not to DPS until 80% or something. That should allow KA to cast an AE mez on 3 targets. :) Also, I thought I put some code in there for the mana drain DoTs... I'll check. :)

General :

This can be done with Holyshits and Downshits can't it? I don't want to reinvent the wheel. :p

Just remove the first condition from these and they should fire off as they pop up. Also, note I havent updated these since the patch mid october or so that changed a bunch of aa names. So they might need a bit of love.

Let me know if you want some Enchanter tips, it's my main ;) I haven't used this plugin for my Ench b/c I'm always actively playing that one so honestly I don't know the current setup. I might have to try it out of curiosity ;)

Thanks! I have a lot setup as downs already but wasn't sure if there was support so was trying to decide what combo of plugin/down/KA would work best (for me at least!).

Edit: Here are some of the Mage clickies (format: "summon spell name" | "summoned item name")

"Summon Mutinous Servant"|"Summoned: Exigent Servant XXI"
"Summon Mutinous Minion"|"Summoned: Exigent Minion XXI"

ps. For Rk 2, 3 the format changes to "Summon XYZ Rk. #" | "Summoned: XYZ #" where # = II or III

The other is from the Cauldron of Countless Goods and so it's a bit different since you can't cast it on demand: Item: "Ether-Fused Shard" | "Ether Shard Strike"

Editedit: Dichotomic Companion would probably be a great Gift of Mana or Gift of Gracious Mana (Ench proc) spell. Base cost is 8624 so chaining it every 60s would run the Mage dry otherwise for most people IMO.

I've just been running this plugin on my wiz and mag. Both with KISS and holies setup. I just turn dps=0 on all the toons. This way I can leave thing like buffing, mod rod clicking, pets etc... to kiss.

Summoned clickies: I will start your lists, DD ones be easy, Swarm pets be a bit tougher..

As For DS: It is a single spell line (I think), and would just have a toggle on/off, no buff check, just when MA calls a new target, and Mage is supposed to assist, if on , memed and ready, target MA and cast, then assist and nuke as normal.

Wish I understood this better, I'd help write it. Shits still give me fits.

Check my post above for the summoned clickies unless I'm missing something that you mean?

For me, the only DS I would bother on the tank is "Surge of Shadows" but only if it was not eating DPS time. KA actually does pretty well with this one IMO.

Is there a way to make the plugin load every time I load up EQ? As it stands right now I have to manually load up the plugin every time I load up my wizzy.

If this is still an issue:

downshit##=/if (!${Plugin[MQ2AFNuke].Name.Length}) /plugin MQ2AFNuke

I just use this in my group startup hotkey.

/bct toonname //multiline ; /target TANK_name ; /mac kissassist ; /plugin mq2afnuke load ; /nuke on

These are the Lore Group: Summoned: Elemental Shard.. still need to work on priority order...but just a quick idea...can only have one of this group in inventory, but they are good dps for low (out of combat) mana cost, quick cast (1 sec) and can be cast during global spell cooldown. usuall max 5 charges / item, 10sec colldown
The fire based ones are lore not lore grouped, but I belive that series all share the same cooldown timer, so not effective to have more than one of the series in inventory. The do less dmg than Shards, but are insta casts, again good for global cooldown.
I will have to fo to each individual spell to get those names..., Usually max 10 charges, 12 sec cooldown
but for me thos e2 items are about 20k dmge together and can be cast apx everty 12 sec (or between every 3rd or 4th normal spell)
And I would use KA to keep em in stock atm....(or a downshit).
But yea, those were the Pet summon sticks, just gotta work out all the real names...(I dont have any RkII or III spells of those nature....yet).

miestro, man guess I have been slacking on my mage if I have been missing 20k dps. Does kiss do a good job of keeping these summoned while you use them?

They're not 20kdps, they about 20k dmg every 12 sec (1.5k dps), but CAST BETWEEN OTHER SPELLS (sorry if I misled you). And yes kiss does very good job resummoning between fights/during pulls.

- - - Updated - - -

My point with them is they help kill the mob faster using less mana, so a more prolonged killing spree before needing to med.

- - - Updated - - -

Note: also a very nice thing to have when battle rezed and have no mana and mob still needs killing.

Jimbob did you also want the spells that summon them? If not these listed above shouldn't need priority order since you can only have one on that list (if you noticed some of the names are use 3 times, but each casts a different lvl spell but the RkI, II, III makes things weird)...working on the fire ones yet...those would need a priority order being as you could have them all,

Is Dichotomic Fire added to this yet or should I use KA to handle casting it when possible?

I made some changes to these to reduce spam. I'll try to get them on here in the next couple days or so. :)

Update posted... :)

- - - Updated - - -

Added Mage clicky support as requested by Meistro. DS is still on todo list. It shouldn't be too hard to drop it on the tank on every new mob.
Added Beastlord support. It will cast the spells suggested by Meistro. I do not have a Beastlord to test it with.
Working on enchanter mezz support.

I might merge AFNuke with Heals... So I can have cleric heal first, DPS second... Same with Druid, Shaman, etc... :)

Should I make it burn automatically, or leave that to holies and manual burning?

If the wizard dies he will click back to bind, is there a way to turn that off?

Yes, it can be turned off. It's very similar to MQ2Heals. Do /nuke help, and it should list the command. I don't remember what I called it off the top of my head. :)

Beastlord Spell line up.. casting very well, was running it in an easier zone, but will try this in a harder area later to see if it maintains...

Mage clickys, fire orbs casting well..Ice shard line not activating at all, again was in a light/easy kill area for initial testing, maybe not getting far enough into routine to have it fire (fights lasting max 18 sec) will try a harder area later tonight to further explore this, but these are my preliminary results.

Any plans to add Druids to this? Loving it for my Mage and would love to see how it improves Druid DPS over KA/downflags (been unimpressed with it despite the potential :( )

If I add druids, it will conflict with MQ2Heals (if you're using it)... In order to make them play nice together, I'd have to combine them, and let healing take priority over DPS... If you have an ideal spell weave for your druid, I'll add it in.

Ah, yeah I figured that might be a conflict. I use KA for her heals b/c she's just my backup - usually run with a cleric. I'll PM you about a weave and some thoughts. Thanks for the response :)

I could add some configuration options to maybe only nuke if the MT/MA is over a certain HP percentage, so they don't conflict. Or I could just merge MQ2Heals and MQ2AFNuke.

Druid spells added as requested by kknights. Be careful enabling this if your druid is also your main healer... :)

I think I am going to change the wizard spell rotation back to the way it was before TBM, but with Dichotomic casting on GoM...

Without having tried this for the mage, how far up in the priority is the "of Many" spell line for mages? If you're actually using this line (which I do, since I don't exactly run the "3 wiz merc" groups) correctly, it's an enormous boost in DPS. I usually have around 30 pets fisting the mobs.
