how to get dps up? group consists of sk, cle, dru, enc, bst and rog. all toons 125 maxxed aa and group geared from final fugue. hdex augs for melee, but which ones for the rest? (or all to go hdex-wise?). using barb-fellowship fire and have guild and personal-tribute enabled. if i use burn i usually get without probs to lich and 20 to 30%, then an add and that's it. or if i don't use burn, i already get an add at the blob....
I had to play around with this. Originally I had SHD, ENC, ROG, SHM, CLR, MAG. I was hurting for DPS so I retired SHM and rolled up a BER. When I tried with basic BER I failed, so I maxed BER aa, and that helped a lot.
With SHD, ENC, ROG, BER, MAG, CLR I have
ENC initiate the event. He loses a few seconds of the fight, and we lose some DPS, but still the least loss from the team.
I use
spires on blob. Blob starts to glow at under 5% and it dies before the AE. I guess, you have to
time your burns to make sure you don't get the add, and use other burns as needed, but use as little burn as you can, save what you can for Lich!
Spider: you really don't need DPS here, just need the
MAG pet to eat eggs, for that,
burnout or ecliptic spell is needed, and ensure pet doesn't get stuck, so
summon pet is a must.
Lich: it is a bitch, you have to make sure you
saved all your burns for this guy, otherwise you will hurt with mummy add. I tanked Shalowain with 1-2 mummy adds, but at the end, it always turned out to be a wipe.
Shalowain: isn't that bad once slowed. Best to save
Deflection or shield flash though before gets slowed, and make sure you are on top of him when he activates. I had my SK tank him solo for a few minutes, when the entire team was dead. I returned CLR and ROG to bind, and used insignia to come back to camp and I ended up winning. If no adds, and slowed, you will be okay even with a few deaths in the team. Makes sense to
save all your defensive skills for this fight.
So the event is: 1, burn the blob, but save as much burn as possible, full burn on lich before adds, manage spider eggs with pet, survive Shalowain AE, make sure defensives are still available for this fight. So, I guess, that's what I learned from all the wipes and the win :P. My toons are relatively okay geared, all TS/LS, some chase items, weapons, but no familiars,, heroic aa or anything. I haven't completed an expansion/quests/ missions since TDS, which makes me pay in events like this....
I had several fails on Lich, Shalowain, because I blew all my defensive or offensive spells/ skills before I got to these guys. So the event is won if your team has the DPS needed, and you can time the use of DPS/ defensives as I described above.
