IRL - introducing myself !!! (3 Viewers)

Hi !!! I'm a pr new player to EQ, got introduced by my older brothers who played since it came out. I love this game so much, and want desperately to explore as much as possible, tho... I ended up having trouble with a few specific things.

1. Tradeskills/crafting: Good LORD does moving items in place hurt my hands... I've had a long history of dealing with RSI in my wrists, so all the manual, repetitive movement straight up hurts me after a while.
2. I'm unable to quickly turn to cardinal directions, annoying for navigation when I want to line myself up with a zone warp.
3. I wanna be able to be able to grind for drops and keep track of NPC locations (esp vendors who sell specific items) in an easily accessible way, as currently I'm stuck just having tons of wiki tabs open and it eats up my ram horribly.

With these kinds of issues in mind, and also accidentally stumbling upon RedGuides looking for information about the game, I learned about MQ, and its incredibly modular nature and it fascinates me. I'm really excited to learn more and see what kinds of things I can get into! I imagine with the QOL improvements I'll actually enjoy this game for much longer before burning out (as I have a tendency to do with lots of games).

Lot's of great stuff and great people here. Don't sleep on the discord as well. Really glad to have you and hope you have fun! So many things to learn, the best advice I think I can give is read a lot , watch the videos, spend the time and don't get overwhelmed.
