Question - Help with leveling up

I'm running six boxes (warrior and 5 casters) and leveling up takes forever. I figure out what AAs I just learned, then I scribe the spells in some sort of organized place, move the old spells to the back of the book, figure out what new spells I just got and then update them in their KA ini files if necessary. This is a LONG process especially if I level up multiple times a night.

Can anyone offer me some advice?

You said AA's so one can assume you're 51+

- In PoK you can seek Teek and do Daily tasks up to level 95.
- In HoT (House of Thule expansion) if you are 75-85 doing progression quests gives some serious xp.
- If you are 85+ consider using Overseer (The Mac version easier for now till they fix the Lua version) and make sure you pick Char XP as a reward.
- Remember to burn your lesson of the devoted special AA in a hotzone if you are 95 and below.
- Anniv coming soon, some of the missions like "Dinner Invitation?" can score up to 60 AAs per mission, cant remember at what level though.

GL :)

This is helpful for leveling. Thanks!

I'm talking about the process of scribing spells after level up. That part takes forever for me.

KA's pretty good in that when you level you need to understand what new spells/abilities are upgrade for old spells/abilities. Organization isn't really required, but I suppose everyone has their own preferences.

The process of upgrading your characters can be made easier by using something like rgmercs or cwtn plugins which upgrades your abilities/spells when you scribe them. Using tools like these could also streamline the characters making them more efficient. These two tools are dedicated to running the character for you and have optimizations to, in general, do it better than most people would be able to setup their KA to do it.

With that said, leveling can be slow at any point. Especially as the characters level up to the near end game things tend to slow down as gaining levels becomes hard and harder and the enemies health pools become increasingly high.

If what Chat just said doesn't interest you, Scriber has the ability to hit a button or use a command to scribe the spells into your book for you, and this command can be broadcasted to multiple characters. You are still doing ini work but you aren't hitting right click 8,000 times.

It can also buy said spells for you!

Just an update. Teek now has level 100 and 105 tasks that give over 20 AA and exp.

I'm just trying to get to whenever I can start HoT. I got 66 last night.
Personally I don't pay much attention to getting all the spells at lower levels. I do more of a grit your teeth and grind. Plus I never have had much patience for getting every little thing at lower levels. But you are caster heavy so need them

There is a bonus exp starting soon, maybe even Sunday so at that time you will want to do those Teek for your level - 60 and 65's. Simple kill 5 mobs each day.

I used LDON a lot for my level 60 ish guys. But those can be kinda long.

Maybe those will help you get to 85 faster

But as far as your original post about learning spells etc then go with what CWTN and Algar suggested.

Personally I wouldn't be too concerned with grabbing spells every time you level up. I would grab new pets and heals and take a look every 5 levels or so to see if the spells are worth while. Also your agro abilities on your war.

level until you splat... go to GL, hand team plats, run scriber.. they will all go buy and mem spells. travelto gl.. head back out in next adventure

I agree with Durango. Every 5-10 levels, I just use mq2scriber and it handles all my spell work. Set and forget.

Sure…
Load up on empty bags, plat, and a stack of invis potions.

Then every 10-20 levels or so

/Lua run scriber…(watch and install Lua of course)

Should I make or be in a guild?
Depends on your playstyle and server. I have been in many guilds and some are good and some are cesspools.

I have numerous accounts and am on a couple servers. On one of them when someone does an /ach like hero or whatever it shows up in guild chat so a lot of people see this happen. Woo Hoo! Not really woo hoo when you realize that those 12 other boxes he was running all got the same /ach at the same time. Kinda obvious on that what is going on. But that guild is ok with our lifestyle.

But other guilds might have someone in them that will plunge that knife deep in your back if they see something like that scroll past them.

I am not a social person and could really care less for the comradeship a guild might offer. I like my alts/boxes whatever and I think many are of the same mind so I prefer to make my own guilds.

You could always join one and see how it goes. But keep mum and try to stay under the radar.

The administrative time to update KA in files is a pain as you level, especially at lower levels when it happens so fast. I normally only go through the annoying process every 5 levels unless the content is kind me. That way I have to do it less frequently.

Using the ini resource files Class Resource Files in Redguies is a good way to get kick started.
