Release Hatchery.mac 2023-04-03

No permission to download
Correct You need to change The Buffs to your Own Level and Choices. the Taunts are automated thou. And a headsup its a bit painful once u hit level 75+ LOL at least for a 105 sk i started getting hurt pretty good. with the whole zone on me.

Redbot updated Hatchery.mac with a new update entry:

mq2dannet conversion and rewrite

Well I managed to play with it a Bunch and In total I have Done the following near as i can tell with some Small Hiccups along the way it Definely Needs cleanup and i will try but its fully functional for me now and runs great Tested it on live.

Removed Eqbc From The macro Converted to Mq2dannet
Removed Mq2twist - Didn;t work for me half the time
For all Movement except exiting Zone Using mq2nav, use mq2moveutils for exiting the zone
made it so its Not bard dependant Works with Any Class...

So, is the expectation that all macros with EQBC integration/functionality are going to be converted over? Is it possible to add DanNet functionality without gutting all the EQBC functionality out? I'm not particularly keen on learning a new set of syntax.

It would be super simple to have it include functionality for both dannet and eqbc.

That’s why I thought it was weird that the update notes implied that it was switched over to dannet.

My understanding is he cleaned up the code and removed whatever he thought wasn't necessary to get it functioning better. In this case, it may be he stripped too much out of it rather then extended the functionality to mq2dannet. It is why I don't release my hatchery macro, it is too modded for my needs and may not be the best for everyone else.

Not a fan of dannet. When I run 40 + toons you get extreme delays and lag when the plugin is loaded and all toons are using it.

I Updated it to Dannet from eqbc for ease of use, Also Allowed me to use Observers and Querys for the Zone Checks
and Most of the Code stripping out was because Many people Have Coded this macro or modified it multiple times and That had created alot of Redundant code that Served No Purpose. I Do have a New Update Coming Soon to Include Auto Skillups for the lowbies at The zoneline ( Credit goes to Llmaherder) for that idea!

Firstly this macro rocks. I've been meaning to try it out for a while now and finally got down to it over the last few days and I have had no issues. I would ask if someone could explain the syntax for declaring the DSmage as he is not refreshing the tanks DS so I have been doing manually.

THanks

EDIT: I managed to get it working I don't know if it was the cause but there was a double space in the Mage DS section. Or i had made a spelling mistake. Bed time me thinks.

I have a question about the Hatchery macro. I have just started using it and the plee's are not saying "ready" to the quest npc to enter the zone, I have been manually doing it. How do I get them to do this? Also, if they do not enter the zone before the sk, he drops them and he starts running around and he gets killed because the mobs are higher level, I'm guessing because he entered first.

Okay So You need the Leader to be the PBAE caster, then run the mac on the SK> with everyone in group. then your gtg. The Macro will Not zone in until The Leader of the group is in the zone or it missets the Level to the SKS and causes a wipe. your manually Zoning them in could be part of the issue.

it does Execute using Dannet. so if you do not have it loaded on all toons that would cause that try loading it on all plees. /plugin mq2dannet

Just getting ready to start leveling some toons again and was remembering the last time I used this mac the mob push what horrible. My tank was almost pushed out of the zone a few times. Had to keep repositioning him. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you for all the updates! Huge improvements over the old version in 8 hrs have gone from level 21 to 70, with no deaths and really no problems.

I had 56 cycles last night. The only thing I needed to add two more drop task wait statements (at least 1 toon was not dropping the task every time), and the Tank only requested the damage shield on startup. Had to hit him with ds for the rest of the night.

morisato updated Hatchery.mac with a new update entry:

This Is one of the things the New Version Fixed Drawthow Only needs 1 single drop task statement and works everytime as i use /kickp task now. on the task leader.

Having some problems with the mac. The first section of the macro where the leader goes into the zone is using dannet. The second part of the macro switches back to EQBC command.

one more thing the section that setup up Mq2Twist and Mq2Dannet no toggles loading and unloading the plugins.

So I have been trying to use this macro to level my tunes, i have a 108 sk. and 5 various toons.. One of which is now a bard after doing a little reading here. What happens for me is that my sk will instruct the leader to zone in, then no one follows and my sk just sits there and does nothing. If i zone the sk in, the process will happen with the zone being pulled to entrance. Then after that my sk will zone out, and my plees will stand there and do nothing. Followed by a 2nd process of waiting until i move everyone out of zone. Then the sk will need to be reset with mac, followed by it all happening over agian. Any help as to what is going on or a direct i can go to fix this would be awesome! thanks! One more thing to add is that once i zone them in the shadowknight does its thing but all of the plees including the bard who is supposed to run the ae, do nothing at all.

There is a problem with the Marco 1/2 is in dnet and the other 1/2 is in eqbc. Two ways to deal with this 1. load eqbc and dannet 2. covert the marco to use either dnet or eqbc 100%.

Thank you for replying to my message, after getting eqbc working I have been up and running, it is after some tuning up and running and gaining me levels. The issue i still have is that it will not run my group leader out of the zone, the leader will literally stop right at the line just one tap on the forward will zone it out..

Test was just patched on Sunday and after that patch, I have had to change a few of the XY coordinates for me it was where the SK stops when pulling and where the bard stands to do the AOE.

Okay, I attempted to use mqnav in order to figure out how to get the loc and attempt agian. My guess is when the bard is walking back its just a tap to the side of the other guys and that is causin it to be a tap way from the zone lol, which is just odd as all get out. I have been using mq for awhile just only had to change ini files really so I am a rookie here.

I just use the loc command in game you just need to remember to switch the first two sets of numbers if in game you get something like -23.45 18.34 the cordis in mq2 will be 18.34 -23.45 you can also stop the mac when you clear the zone and play around with the nav command to get your toons exactly where you want them. This is where I have my bard standing /nav locxyz -41.52 -19.59 2.15 I also notice the range on the spell was 30 so there is no need for the bard to be on top of the mobs when casting. I have the bard 1/2 between the mobs and the location they zone into.

this is the section of the code that gets the bard in place
/squelch /dex ${groupLead} /nav locxyz -41.52 -19.59 2.15
/delay 3s
/squelch /dex ${groupLead} /twist 1
/delay 3s
/echo AE Nuke is In!

this section looks like the cord to exit the zone when done.

/delay 1s
/squelch /dex ${groupLead} /nav locxyz -43.82 -33.27 4.04
/delay 2s
/squelch /dex ${groupLead} /twist clear
/delay 2s
/squelch /dgge /moveto loc -32 -100 6

you can only problem is you get mostly resists so can take a long time for 1-15, at 16 resists drops off and you get a better return.

has anyone got an edited mac i could use for my sk to pl a couple of toons? I can't get my head round the instructions

what do you need help with?
Basically wasn't sure if a mage or other DS was required or could just use an SK and they said on discord an SK is fine but extra DS will kill quicker. I was a bit confused about the mechanics as well and the initial set up as i haven't power leveled before. Once the macro is repaired i'll give it a whirl and see what happens.

Brief rundown on the method used in this macro namely Damage shield powerleveling.
What is happening is you pull a bunch of mobs then hold aggro on them all while you are out of group, the characters you are powerleveling is in a group and they need to do at least 1 point of damage to all of the mobs, which is why a class with an aoe is preferred it is quicker to damage all of the mobs.

Now here is the magic: damage shield damage is not attributed to any character so you higher level character is in fact doing zero damage while they beat on him in the process killing themselves, the lower level characters get the xp as one of them did do at least 1 point of damage.

Thus also why we tend to use SK's they have a host of nodamage aoe hate spells to keep aggro with.

That's great that's exactly what I didn't understand thank you!

After all the mobs are dead the leader wont re-invite the sk back into group. I have to manually invite the sk and then they all run out of zone like they are supposed to.

How do you fix this after patch? If I run old file it doesnt zone me or group in. If I fix that part... it drops tank and runs low level toon instead of tank.
