WooHoo, thanks Rob and Happy Halloween to you as well ! Got my kids off to school in costume, duck and a pirate, bus came so fast I did not get a pic. Grr. When I'm an old frog at 85 I'll miss that and likely complain to rocks and trees about this missing picture, ah well. Tonight we go for candy, soon enough it will end as they turned 10 and 11 this year. So I will enjoy what I got left! And to those of you with children may they have a safe and fun holiday. And for you adults, feel free to post a picture of your costume here.
DUDE! I keep trying, both my kids love talking about Horror movies, but 'real' ones they can't make it, we do some kids classics and also things like Gremlins and Critters (look I know...ugh), Tremors, am going to try Fright Night late night. Wife and I watched Hallowwen 1-3 last 3 nights. So good, 3rd is cheesy fun. I like Re-Animator, but not sure I can watch that with my kids, even when older... the head lick scene, while awesomely grotesque, weird and dark comedy, is kinda weird with my kids. But thats what made the 80s so great..kinda weird. Happy Halloween man!kids and I watch a horror classic they've never seen. This year its Re-Animator
My area is very rural and it's not safe to walk up to anyone's house between the dogs and the guns and locked gates. Plus it would take hours just to go to a few houses, we are spread out on acreage.
We have "trunk or treats" at the local schools and churches. They are a blast. You decorate the back of your truck or trunk and put your candy in there and we all park in the lot and the kids go around to all the cars/trucks and get their treats that way. Adults can also dress up kinda to match their theme. One guy this year had a big clown (like 10 foot tall) that would pop up as kids came up. Was cool and everyone hates clowns so there were a lot of screams!
