Question - Fun Things to Do on Test

I'm on Test doing a 3 box (SK/SHM/Bard) with 3 war mercs. I just hit 47 in CoM and was wondering where I should go next. It was fun killing the bosses in CoM, but I was curious what else I could do to scratch the nostalgia itch? One of the planes? Kill Naggy or Vox or whatever? I've played off and on for a while, but I never got into raiding and missed a bunch of content. Can anyone point me to a check list of stuff I just NEED to do?

I used to like doing LDON's and they are good exp up to about level 70.

Get your stone:

Go see Vladnelg Galvern on second floor in Cresent Reach. Sitting in a chair. Hail him and follow along.

Go to an adventure camp and pick one of these NPC : Not all of them - just one.
Teria Grinntli/everfrost, Selephra Giztral/South ro, Barstre Songweaver/Commonlands, Vual Stoutest, Teria Grinntli, and Ruanya Windleaf.
Hail that one and the answers are:
"Adventures - favor journal - Morden rasp and farstone."

You get your adventure stone which will allow you to do tasks in those zones. It also allows you to use the Magus in the lobby and each of those zones to port around

When your ready then right-click the 'Adventure Recruiter' NPC in whichever camp you want. You can choose between a random adventure, or pick a Type of adventure from the drop down. Once you Accept the adventure you will have to travel to the zone where the entrance to the Adventure is located (see below). Once you enter that zone, your compass should show a blue line indicating where the entrance is located.

* Deepest Guk - Entrance in Upper Guk or Innothule Swamp
* Miragul's Menagerie - Entrance in Everfrost
* Mistmoore Catacombs - Entrance in Lesser Faydark
* Rujarkian Hills - Entrance in South Ro
* Takish-Hiz - Entrance in North Ro

The adventure window (alt V) will show you what you need to do to complete the mission.

You could also revisit some of the older zones by getting the daily hot zone quest for your level. Simple kill 5 mobs, good exp cause it's considered a "hot zone" and fun to revisit them. Based on your level. See Franklin Teek in POK outside the lobby. You have to chose all the ones you want at one time or it locks you out for 24 hours.

Or bottom line just follow the Hero's Journey - click the achievement box on your character screen and that will give you tons of stuff to do.

I've been running my current group through the heros journey. I wasn't playing live when TSS came out so I missed a lot of that content. Bonus is also running them through the serpent seekers charm of lore. Decent charm, lots of fun stuff to do to get the drops needed

I love this! I've never done an adventure. Any ones you like better than others? Also, is this what Clayton Teek is giving daily rewards for?

I prevuously did Heroes Journey up to Gorukar Mesa. The tradeskill quest broke me.

Test, with its permanent 100% xp bonus, makes outleveling things more of a factor than it is on live (and it's already bad enough there). If you want a nostalgia trip, hey, do wahtever. Just something to keep in mind.

The checklist of what you NEED to do (and I think that word is too strong) is more or less:

Epic 2.0 for classes that still use them
Omens of War raid BP for those classes that still use them

Dragons of Norrath progression can be done for permanent character bonuses.
Various progression tasks from Call of the Forsaken (CotF) onward can be done for permanent character bonuses.
Thus, modern era EQ mostly starts around level 100 (although as you can see, there are some things to do before it).

To restate, nothing in the above is implying you should not have fun and go as you will, I'm just answering the specific question.

In the future, I would ensure you avoid giving out too much information in these posts. Server is fine; areas you are fighting in are fine; together, they may give someone a little too much ammunition for my tastes. It may seem like paranoia, but the pettiness and vindictiveness of people is not to be understated.

I never had a favorite for LDON since they are all in dungeons and I don't care much for that. There are quite a few choices though.

On the daily tasks, Clayton Teek is the brother of Frank, stands off to the side a bit, and Clayton offers daily HA that he will port you to. Those start around level 75 but quite a few are locked behind progression or having to do portal attuning and many find level 75 a little too low. But when you get higher level they are something to keep in mind. These change daily.

The others given by Frank are supposed to change the first of every third month but they can also change with patches or server resets. Right now for level 40 it takes place in Mons Letalis, the level 45 is in Dulak's Harbor. But that is on my server and they can be different on different servers. Each one rewards, some plat, good exp and a choice of caster or melee shoulder/back/waist item based on your level. What you don't need you can sell off to an NPC merchant. Or trade to your other guys, give them to your pet etc.

This is a great post! I really appreciate it! You understand why I'm asking since I'm outleveling the content so fast.

You said you were answering specific questions. I'm just looking for fun suggestions. Do you have any places you find particularly fun?

Is PoH doable yet? Could I kill Vox or Naggy? What about any fun suggestions in Kunark?

On my server, 50 is Velks.

i play on test fulltime and love it. if i can suggest one thing is ditch the mercs and make 3 more toons before you get too high in level. you can testbuff to 25 and theyll still be in level range if your doing com. as mentioned LDONs are a great way to level up and gear up and stay out of plain sight. as well i suggest looking at the TSS levelling paths and alwyas keep your eyes in the baz as since we have no economy lots of people copy gear and TS mats etc and it all sells for 1pp ... welcome to test !

No, really, I was literally answering a specific question:
Can anyone point me to a check list of stuff I just NEED to do?

I just wanted to make sure I was clear that, by answering it, I wasn't saying... "THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD PLAY".

I appreciate you asking me about fun, but, fun for me is tweaking and testing group setups and automation (I do a lot of work on RGMercs Lua), so... probably the wrong dude to ask. There is not a whole lot of nostalgia for me in this game, etc.

I like trashing shit and farming augs and seeing numbers go up in my inv window and parses. That's what is fun to me

Awesome! I was playing with RGMercs Lua last night. I still have a lot to learn!

Why should I ditch the mercs? The war mercs are so OP...

Blackfeather Roost was a hoot!

the tank merc is good to maybe 65-70 after that it wont hold a candle to a geared tank. plus on test you have permanent gold status for free so no need to worry about prestige gear and AA etc

I made 3 more characters last night to round out the party. They'll get their defiant gear in the tutorial and then I'll test buff them. Gotta get some PP to them when they get out, though.

That is as simple as asking in general on test
