I have written a macro to complete Fish Eyes in the Dark 19th Anniversary solo task which will earn you 7 Piles of Bones
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=132636

The macro stops once the 7 bones have been aquired as those are droppable and can be sold off/given to alts. The bonus is 7% to fishing.

You can alternately combine the 7 bones to create "The bone rod"

Features of this macro.

When started in POK the macro will conduct an inventory check, it verifies you have bait, fishing poles, and cloudy potions. If you do not have these things it will purchase them for you. (300pp~ for a stack of cloudy pots). I recently added support for some AA abilities and are to be expanded on tomorrow.

Once it has aquired all needed materials it will navigate the quest giver and get the task. Then it will depart POK and navigate to each of the zones fishing until the required items are found before moving on.

There ARE see invis mobs in undershore, expect combat.
I have setup to not only react to aggro while traveling, but to remember what weapon you had equipped at the start of the macro and switch from the fishing pole to it if you aren't holding it.

I've added some "dumb" casting for casters that will cast all your detrimental single target spells you have memorized. So if you're a paladin and don't want to sit there and chain stun for example, simply remove the spell gem and it won't be casted. If you are a wizard and want to nuke the mobs then make sure you have a memorized nuke. etc etc.

Fishing - supports Fisherman's companion and Endless worms. No support for anizok's bait depenser at this time. 80ish worms and 5-6 poles on average were used for toons with 0 skill. the macro will buy 10 poles and 200 worms for you.

Returning to turn in the mission. Returning is done on foot, no current support for gate because I have no idea where you are bound. I considered checking for the stein port to pok but on testing navigation runs you into too many things. So i'll have to edit the mesh to add avoidance area's prior to adding that.

This is already coded. I have created all the navigational meshes and will provide a link to the things required to run this macro in it's entirety. Meshes include water elements covering all area's with water for each of the water filled zones so that character navigation primarily occurs on dry land unless crossing the water is required. Nek forest bridge avoidance edited into the mesh due to a "back and forth" issue once on it. Meshes are available for download.

This took quite the effort the create, therefore I am asking that compensation be provided for access.

I do not typically require a charge for my code, this is something new to me. If you have an interest you can inbox me for details. Questions/recommendations/ and bug reports for those that do get access can post here.

Currently AA invis is supported for Mage, Bard, and Necromancer. Tomorrow I will be adding SK, Wiz, Enc, Rng, Dru, Shm and Bst to the list. as I understand that Nec/SK share Cloak of Shadows, Wiz, Enc, and Mage share Perfected Group/Stand Invises, Rng and druid share Camouflage, BST has Natural Invisibility, and finally Shm has Spirit Walk.

The decision to do the combine at the end will be left to the user. I'm personally going to keep the bones.
If you decide to make the actual fishing pole, it is not intended to actually fish with it and it WILL break. This is intended to be used for combining things that require Fishing Skill.

many thanks for @Eltai86 for the request and upfront payment to get this going.

--UPDATE--
This macro is now available for the following year.

Update, Zip file with all files used for this is now in the first post. Plugins likely won't be working since updates have occured since the custom plugin changes, though the changes were to MQ2Nav and MQ2EasyFind, which I expect have been updated at this point. Safe to say those are not likely needed. Meshes go in mesh folder and macro in macros folder. If nothing else, you'll at least get some custom meshes out of it this year.

commented out checking endurance and checking mana sections - the macro kept thinking half the group was out of mana /end and would just sit down.
Also problems with easyfind brought the macro to a grinding halt.

Other than that, macro works great-ish on the 20th... with some babysitting.

In PoK the macro got caught in a loop buying Fishing Poles for me. I had to manually go to Undershore at which point the macro worked fine again.

As Diebold666 said though, Easyfind is currently busted with the recent MQ2Nav updates. So this isn't an AFK macro anymore, you'll have to baby it most of the time.

Also I have noticed that the macro spams invis the entire time it runs through the zone, because when it first starts up it doesn't wait long enough for the character to finish casting invis.

Otherwise no issues discovered

Is this working these year? I tried to copy the .dll files over and it crashed MQ.

also is the mac /mac inthedark to start?

It should still be working, but those dll are quite outdated, removed them from the download. You'll need a copy of the current nav and easyfind that comes with the VV update.

OK thanks CW, it almost worked without a hic-up, I was going to do it again later and pay attention , it gets through the 4th or 5th zone and then hangs up on nav

It gets hung up after u catch the 4th fish in Corathus Creep and doesn't move onto Undershore. - Manually just zoned over - its close.

Restarted /mac inthedark to reengage mac ( Don't forgot to re-equip primary weapon before u start the mac or you will be fighting with a fishing pole )

It zones you back into Undershore as you are on the 7th fish, but stops and doesn't find a path to finish moving into Stoneroot Falls. ( Again Ctrl-F - clik on Stoneroot Falls -1 and nav takes you there ) - had to turn of mac as it tried to run u back into Undershore -
**** edit ***** If you manually run to the larger opening into Stoneroot it doesn't try to zone you back over to undershore . Had to hit /mac inthedark ... it fished.

When completed with the fishing, I used stein back to PoK, then retyped the /mac inthedark and it finished it.

He is a ranger also but Innate Camo, isn't firing.

Here is where it hangs.. have same issue on other toons running mac.

I have copied all nav mesh files as well.

i read that they changed the fishing pole so it wont break anymore

stand in PoK, make sure you have empty slots, download the the zip file, drop the files in the right spots (InTheDark macro into macro's, nav meshes/doors into MQ2nav folder, and MQ2EasyFind.ini into release

once all this is done type /mac inthedark

Thank you :)

When you select download there are versions but they aren't labeled. One is 26mb the other is 25mb, which one is correct?

Took a few altercations to the macro, the mesh files but I got it working like a champ. The only downfall is the lock out timer. :(

Mostly cutting out the where are you and replacing with /travelto and then the grabbing items part, added after turn in to make the actual bone rod in the fishing table too. :)

Nice macro though, lot of mechanics put into. Just needs a little TLC to work with next. I would post my edits, but its sloppy and not what I would expect from a CWTN macro.

Would love to have those edits if you don't mind.

I spend a lot of my time on plugins, and I'm happy to pass on old works to people interested in taking over my abandoned projects. No reason this one should die or be forked simply because I stopped working on it.

Here is my chopped version. I really don't have time to do anything else with it at this time. I haven't tried it with the original navmesh files provided in the download, but I did work on my own to make the connections. Also, had to edit some connections in the easyfind zoneconnection file. Good Luck.

Just ran this and it did need some help finding nav paths and crossing zone lines, but the biggest issue I had was at the end. It made the bone rod like it was supposed to and then it wanted to return to my guild hall, but only a palatial one. Since I don't have that, I got stuck in a loop of running back and forth from the guild hall to the guild lobby. And since I couldn't type fast enough to kill easyfind before I would zone again I had to just kill the EQ process to stop it.

Yah, in the macro just comment out the line that says /travelto guildhalllrg

:)

So, I extracted the file into the Macros folder and type /mac inthedark from PoK and nothing happens. What am I missing?
Did you use the zip file I posted in the thread and a few post back or the one from the download link above? If you used the one I posted, do you have the mesh file for POK? There is also a supporting zoneconnections.yaml that can go in your easyfind folder and other navmesh files that can go in your EasyFind folder.

Used for custom zone connections in EasyFind. when you type /travelto poknowlede
Should be loaded already if you use MQNext, however even so the macro should still start up in pok and get a pole, bait and the quest. Unless your server is not running the anniversary quests. Is
Cedfer up in pok?
