Hey Guys,

I'm at the point now where my group is set up and geared up enough to hand everything up to TBL, but have A TON of AA's they need to grind out. What is your favorite spot to farm AA's?

I've been grinding in FM for days now and I can get about 200 AA's in 6-7 hours. That seems kind of slow . . . .

Sathir's Tomb is really good aa thats where I go

Sathir's Tomb requires you to complete the EoK progression so you are immune to that DoT, right?

Or are there camps in there that you can do without it?

only the green sarnaks give you that dot, I still do not have that progression done.
Go to the last room its golems, undead, and gnawlers

Droga is good fast exp. till 106. I like to pause leveling at 106 and grind out the needed AA in Droga. The pit in Howling Stones is good experience, but at a certain point, you may run out of mobs. For the most part, you won't have a problem with the green sarnakes in Sathir's tomb so if it's not camped, then that's great. Basically, I suggest going into a dungeon for your grinding.

Where is a good spot to setup camp in Droga? I haven't seen any reviews or guides on this zone and personally have no idea where to park the group.

Also, won't the green sarnaks in Sathir's Tomb eat me a live with their nasty aura since I'm not immune to it?

there is only 6 green sarnaks in sathir's and 2 named green sarnak's. If you camp in the final room there is no green sarnak's to deal with period only golems and undead. also if you pull the east side of the middle room it wont spawn green sarnak's. Like I said I havent done EoK progression and I can still kill green sarnak's, just keep up group healing and turn the sarnak away from the group and should be ok. Green sarnak's live only about 20s for me as a group and as a mini raid 10s at most

If I recall correctly, there’s only one green sarnark that has a chance of spawning and pathing into the last room in ST.

If you're set up and geared to handle TBL (or even ROS), you'll kill the goblins in Droga so fast that one spot isn't going to be enough. What I simply do is start moving down and head toward wherever people aren't camped and there are large numbers of goblins. Nameds are nice, but you're there for experience. Just moving slowly. If you're on the SK, you can just pull whenever you see a mob and you'll usually get two or three. Five or six mobs in camp is nice. You'll get a sense for what is the wrong number to pull. They die quick, far less hit points than TBL mobs. What I do is once I have four or so mobs in camp and my group is fighting them is I start running around tagging mobs (on my bard) to bring back to camp so there is this constant killing. Then when I've cleared out an area, I moved to the next area. Invis is great but for spiders mainly. So if you have a mage, you can move the group super easily

"Also, won't the green sarnaks in Sathir's Tomb eat me a live with their nasty aura since I'm not immune to it?"

One, Green Sarnaks aren't as scary as they used to be. I can and I expect you can easily kill one if it comes into camp. But also, as others have explained, you can pretty much avoid that issue.

that one has always been a golem for me in the months of camping there

Ah, maybe that was another zone where one would periodically path through. I know non-green sarnaks can spawn as green sarnaks in a lot of areas.

I've been in Chardok the last few days. Prince room. Haven't seen a soul zone in the entire time I've been in. I fight down. takes about 30 or so minutes and I set up in the direct middle of the prince room. The floor is framed and I site in the middle of the 6 rows of diamonds. You will know what I mean when you get there. My group is all 110 and a mix of a war, clr, wiz, brd, enc and rng puller. Most pulls are 2 but singes do come and the occasional 3. Goloms have a shit ton of HP's and are kind of the pain of the camp. I set my radius to around 350 or what ever I need to continuously pull and make sure your mqnav is working well so you don't get stuck on anything.

I don't use any special ini's. I use ihc on the cl, wiz, enc and KA on the others. All ini are from the ini library, 1st ones on the lists.

3 mobs are supposed to pop here. the Queen, grand advisor, and the Selrach but mostly you will get guards and things. the names drop 105 EOK tier 1 gear and some odd and ends if you haven't outfitted your toons. The Selrach will pop in another room, next to the consort but if he us there, I'll fight to him and kill it so the PH pops in, then truck it back to the prince room.

A good spot with continuous pulls. Only downtime I have is for endurance and mana medding.

I used droga instance... i have to wonder what my slayer count would be on goblins if it kept ticking over after maxing out multiple alts with the same war/cleric/enc as primary... lol

105 is better level for exp there, drops of a reasonable bit at 106 but with 106 and conflag gear and the ease of killing makes up for the individual drop in xp. Past that if you are at the keyboard killing, it's generally better to just go somewhere a bit better.

If you have TBL and can get someone to get you T1 gear that's a fair bit better then conflag, you can stay 105 to grind/PL there for less of an xp tradeoff. That will be my go to when i get myself organised since returning

I know this is a tough spot due to it being locked behind progression.. But I spent some time in RoS Veeshan's Peak in the 'racnor' room while trying to get the damn name there to spawn.. but it was insanely good XP at 110.. I was getting in the range of 10-15AA per minute.. and very little downtime..

I basically sat in the middle of the pillared room, with a 300 range on my pulls.. it caught that room plus just around the corner to both north and south sides..

I'm not afk'ing, so in case i ran into any issues, I am able to deal with right away, but man my mq2aaspend was burnin up the CPU cycles !!

10-15AA per min would be insane anywhere especially with no xp bonus of any kind, thats just nuts

Howling stones basement a good place, ius where I take my group to AA, in 6hrs there did around 1100 AA. and can just jump off edge top get there, so no need to fight till set up.

Suggestions for those not yet 110 - lock at 106, get conflag gear / weapons and do TDS progression. I get around 100 - 200 AAs an hour killing the blues to yellows in the castle zone - they die fast, respawn fast and the mesh is pretty good - I'll usually race toons with selos around the zone to see if they can get from one side to the other without invis dropping... If you have well written KA /INI files you could get even more AAs.

Talking about Dagmar?

Dagmar's the place. mq2nav works like a dream for me in that zone and the XP is terrific against conflag gear.

You ever try in Arx Mentis, in the outdoor area in the far west of the zone, nice and open, and full of those bug/beetle type mobs.. I used to AA like crazy back in the day there, and NEVER saw anyone there.. its so tucked away behind progression, such low chance ever seeing a single soul there..

I also used Arx outdoor area when current, would rarely see anyone. Just a shame I can't take any new toons there :P

Currently I'm running Spider caves in LC with a 105 group, mesh working beautifully & Another group running Droga instance.

Oh i thought they unlocked prog on TDS last year? I havent tried going back to be honest :)

Yeah drachnid caves is nice, fast respawn and they have a decent /con.. and its not the crowded FM /rollseyes

At least on my live server it's still locked by quest progression to get into Castle / Dino Isle / Combine Dredge and Arx... though I didn't try a fellowship campfire to bypass it yet. :)

I should, since it is at the ass end of progression that most people avoid except for collections... though I like Dino island more because there's more room to breathe, but unattended Arx might be the safest (safer than Dead Hills AA AFK grinding). Kinda stopped all progression doing Anny missions before they end on my toons (and stopping work on coding scripts too. :/ )

Used to be able to campfire into Dino isle HA, which would infinitely respawn, but I’m 99% sure they have fixed that instant respawn now, if you’re at the keyboard I’m sure you could still do it for AA and campfire someone in (if they didn’t fix that also) there’s a ton of mobs in that HA.

Can’t campfire in and it doesn’t matter because they fixed the infinite spawn (for 6 hours) bug. Last time I did it my takeaway was there was better exp to be had elsewhere.

I had this idea when I started using KA, remembered it from doing prog/hunters. Got a question for you, however. Where in that area do you set your group up? I've just been setting up on the west wall directly across from the north entrance into the area. Been having a slight issue with my tank falling through the world about once every couple hours though. So end up having to constantly run her back. It's a nice relaxing spot other than that issue, and working great to get my new rng some AAs. I'm thinking it's a tree or something causing her to fall through but not 100%.. I've never caught it the moment it happens, just happen to look up and she's in a grey/blue area underneath the zonein lol.

Would love to get it figured out where I'm not constantly running her through the zone. Appreciate it!

Edit: Also, regarding TDS progression - It IS still required, but ONLY by one person in the group. I've only ever done TDS on my main but I frequently hang out in arx on all my toons. Love the zone, minus the brooms, which can go die in a fire.

Hmm never ran into that issue of finding a tear in the world and falling into it.. I usually set up sort of middle of the open area, maybe a bit left towards that wall.. but yeah, could just run for hours there, was great.. and i personally love the chill music in Arx heh..

i wonder if your toon stays in its place when it falls through, so if you look on map, you can see the approximate spot they are doing that? you can always mark that as a non travelable spot in your navmesh and then you're safe.. but gotta ID the spot first...

She seems to fall and finish pathing back to the loc to return to camp, just under the zone.
I'll try pushing the group a little bit away from the wall next I get a chance. There is a tree on the little hill I stand on so my theory is she catches and falls through but it's pretty random. Sometimes it's ten min and sometimes it's several hours before she falls.
Does explain how I pulled a named from across the zone the other day at least.
I do love arx though. Nice short respawn, nobody uses it because of prog requirements. Only downside is the run and the brooms.

Just have the toon with prog in group and run there. Has worked for every toon I have.

Hrm, that’s an interesting change! I wonder if anything else like that was changed... like raid encounter zones or something.

Not sure about raid flags, never touched any of that. Hadn't tried speaking to quest givers to see if they'd talk to the alts in unflagged zones (because tds progression. Ick).
But I have managed to take a fresh heroic rogue to arx to farm shinies.

Not sure when the change was made but I try to inform as many people as I can lol, it's not commonly known.

I tried this today: flagged main in group and running an unflagged 110 out. Couldn’t zone into combine dredge

Ah maybe it doesn't work on live then, that sucks. Works for everyone on test. Guess that counts as a test perk then, kind of sad.
