Been grinding yellow cons in Empyr and the exp seems so slow even with pots. Anywhere else that the mobs give more exp? Or?

I did not enter TOV so I'm guessing/hoping it's a decent upgrade from prior expansions. I did some hopping around last night in ROS killing yellow and white mobs and things were pretty slow for me as well.

I was hoping 111 was some kind of a hell level but when I checked around this morning I saw people at 114, so I guess I'll have to think of something different to try tonight.

Supposedly the best way to get a few levels is to do the TOV quests.

In particular the 4 missions for a big chunk of experience from the achievements linked to them.

Im pretty sure people at 114 are using fellowship vitality that they maxed out prior to ToV. I was killing in Gmm and RoS and getting 0.05% xp a kill at 111. Best place will be ToV once you hit 111.

I had a feeling since the preorder gift was a group xp pot it was warning me the xp was going to be slow haha. I like the grind ..I guess it reminds me of being married and I enjoy the slow torture. Going to wait to enter new stuff I hate a lot of people around...am anti-social. Picked the wrong game for that but I get by lol. Been doing it since DON expansion so used to it.

can't wait for ToV to happen on test! I wonder how the exp bonus will effect those missions (if applicable). Def going to go after some of those missions. Been grinding in OT (0.05%-0.07%) since test let us have access to levels ahead of time. It took about 25 hours (with some mishaps) in OT to go from 111-112 with no vitality. I just hit 113 last night so its been a slow process over the last week to level.

I got into 112 with collections, tbs xp clickies and an XP pot last night. The south area of meratas is my go to - those mobs die relatively quick but it is a high risk camp - my puller tends to pull a mob that paths past about 6 of the mobs so all of them come at once -you need a good INI setup and a slower or CC for it.
I'm going to get into ToV from here though - as noted above, Ngreth made a post yesterday about very large xp rewards for the quests in ToV so I want to use that now.

Howling Stones and I presume Sathir's Tomb gives 0.070% EXP for a white con and 0.075% for a yellow con at 111. Dungeon EXP bonus.

I don't mind the grind, I'm not in a massive rush either. I use lesson and am keeping my EXP potions in their bags so far. Odds of a level increase above 115 is slim, IMO, so savor it.

Would someone happen to know which of those ToV quests give those experiences? Like name of quest giver/zone?

the big 40% xp is from doing the 4 hero missions

Griklor the Restless - in EW
Restless Assault - in GD
Seeking the Sorcerer - in Velk
Icebound Avatar - Hael

I went back and did collections from expansions back and the exp was awesome. Expensive but helped alot.

im guessing the "quick" way would be to level to 113 then hit those missions. this way you can use the big bump on the last two level as you know they'll be harder to gain in.

Doesn't matter. The amount of exp you get from those missions is a finite amount while the amount of exp you need to level goes up as the level gets higher. This means at lvl 113 the missions would maybe give you 18% of an exp bar instead of 46% of an exp bar.

That's good to know. Thanks!

Just kidding...no sighs, I will be looking forward to the next expansion soon enough, just like in 1999 until now lol!

Doing every quest in ToV and some minor farming of named with two LotD and one 8hr potion we got from pre-order is enough to get 115 if you were max into 110. Best grind spot I’ve found is ToFS floor 5 & 2

I have six of those 8-hour exp pots ready to go once the exp grind starts ... not work popping while doing missions, imo.

fast track to 115 is missions will level you from 111 0% in to roughly 113 25-50% in. quest your way the rest of the expansion will level you up to 114.85 ish and you have to grind out like 15-20% ish. unless you die and have to redo some quest and gain exp. partisans are Task Addable and missions are but will have to enter zone to get credit. Merc tasks aren't bad just a pain when lots doing them. best exp out of TOV is nameds in TBL they give most exp. most mobs in TOV don't give shit for exp they want you to quest. I have gotten my alts from 110.99 to 113.75 with just doing all the merc / partisans with no hero missions

I was just grinding exp in Chardok. It isn't that great, but moves you forward slowly but surely with circa 50 kills per hr, minimal risk... currently about 0,02 % per kill at lvl 113. A few more days and I am at 115...

50 kills x 0.02% exp per kill is 1% regular exp per hour.

24 hours in a day (assuming you’re non-stop afk in a popular PL zone, which isn’t a great idea) is 24% per day.

That’s at least nine days from 113 to 115, and honestly it’ll probably be more because the amount of exp necessary to go from 114 to 115 is more than it is to go from 113 to 114. Also, again, that’s assuming 24/7 exp at a 50 kill per hour rate while afk. If you only do it while attending you can double or triple that time.

30hrs is more than enough from 110.99 to 115.1 without any exp potion.

Assuming your 6 man group can kill efficiently in TBL like around 270-300ish mobs per hour. It only takes less than 15hrs from 110.99 to 113.5ish, then take 1 hour to finish all 4 TOV hero missions (they don’t need any prerequisite) will put you 114.8ish. (12 challengers plus paragon of TOV Achievements)
Then go back grinding 3-4 hrs then your 115 toon is good to go.

So less than 13 seconds per kill, including pulling? Impressive stuff, that'd almost clear most TBL zones. What's your group makeup?

TBH I just played through the merc/partisans/hero and levelled that way. The content isn't challenging (mobs don't hit/ae hard) in 111 so I didn't really see any point in grinding when I realised it wasn't a prerequisite (other than for the better gear).

Unfortunately 100 - 125 mobs per hour is more realistic. It isn’t about kill rate, it is minimizing downtime due to pulling and respawns. My group entered TOV with pretty near crazy DPS (TBL Raid weapons, raids Arms/Legs, rank III spells/abilities, pretty much max everything, and designed to max DPS)... i still only achieve about 125 kills / hour in Mearatas.

from my own hud, mpm means mob per minute.
This is not even my main group.
I’ve never used that tool, so hard for me to deny the results. That said, I’ve used GamParse extensively and often review my kills per hour after long sessions and rarely go above 125 when afk. Now, if you were actively playing the puller and just chain pulling mobs in a reasonably dense NPC area, I concede the point — it would be achievable. Unfortunately that is rather hard to find anywhere in TBL.

Were you fighting in an area where NPC’s summon swarm pets? That can very meaningfully raise your kill count.

I grinded Sathir's Tomb and Gnome Mermorial Mountain zero deaths constant and very fast chain pulls quantity over quality got to 115 in a few LONG days doing such!

They still legit for AAs at lvl 115? I'm 115 on my main and almost 115 on the other toons. I need a spot to max regular exp and max AA's.

On super fast chain pulls its about 45 AA an hour! But safe and requires little attention if you need something to do while you update INI. for 115
Careful in GMM gnomes mezz and will slow you way down, better off on the orcs!

I don't really have my .ini's setup to chain pull, so I like to concentrate on either super safe but slower exp (like churning an instance with one of William's macs) or a single pull setup (because I pull with my tank). I guess I could modify all that, but meh.

My vitality pushing crew is almost ready again, too. RoS going FTP fucked me up... I had to level them all from 105 to 110, and now two of them still have a krono running, so I need to get as many AA's on them as possible.

Man you have alot going on LoL

I got my whole crew by doing the tasks for all the zones but tofs, and some collections. If you use collections wait till 114, 2% in 114 is a lot more than 2% of 111. I haven't done any of the missions, and didn't repeat any, I did spend some time grinding in EW for pelts as well.
