Explore.Mac - An Explorer / Traveler Achievement Macro - For Your Evolving Efreeti Boot Needs

Explore.mac
An Explorer / Traveller Achievement Macro

⁃ Designed for Level 110 characters (but can be used by any level character)

⁃ Can run all routes, or specify one or more specific routes.
⁃ Invis’s, shrinks, and levs as necessary

Running it on a 4 toons at the moment <3 'in it. So far so good. I do have a bard that see's "Let's Get Dangerous" in MQ windows .. nudges forward a touch and hangs up. Troubleshooting now. Will let you know if I can find out what hanging it up.. Thought it was ISboxer, but the other 4 toons are running trouble free.

Looks like it is pushing me into the Combat.inc at the onset. Re-logging didn't fix it.
Made a work around by bypassing the combat.inc. Running well now. Damn bard.

Thanks for all the hard work! Now I can get my boots.

Thanks Roboman, apparently any Xtarget will push it into combat. Thanks for the help.!

I had a chance to purchase it a little early and help work out some super minor issues. @Denethor has been an awesome creator to work with and really put a TON of effort into this macro.

And I will tell you ... all that effort shows. This thing is awesome. Go get it!

Dragoncrypt?

Do you have 864 loyalty points? (It should have autodetected if not, and if it did, it should have bought and turned in a the key...)

Make sure you're visible (I make a call to /makemevisible already) and that you've turn in the key.

We weren't able to test that code extensively because of the loyalty token costs.

Cannot get it to run with win7....hmmmmmmmmm

Nothing in the mac is OS-dependent. So OS won't matter.

Do you have MQ2Nav installed / configured?
Do you have Wired420's meshes?
How are you trying to start the mac?
Is your XTarget list clear?

It should gate / stein / etc out. Are you in lair of the risen, or lair of the fallen? Can you run these commands?
/echo ${Zone.ShortName} /echo ${Zone.ID}

I followed your video... its might be something im doing wrong. I will wait for more post on trouble shooting...hehe
Thanks

I had it skip dragoncrypt on every toon I used it on, too. Frankly, I didn’t care. I can do a few zones manually after all the other zones are done.

Denethor updated Explore.Mac - An Explorer / Traveler Achievement Macro with a new update entry:

v1.0.2 - 10/19/2019

v1.0.2 - 10/18/2019

*** Routing ***
- Correct a variable increment step in the Shadows of Luclin route that was causing Akheva Ruins to be skipped.
- Fixed several issues that were causing characters to zone into Dragoncrypt and not proceed with their route.
-- Worked around a bug (lack of updating) in MQ2 where Loyalty Tokens weren't considered AltCurrency.
-- Directly querying the window itself was too fast. The window would query as populated...

That would be an entirely different macro. If there is sufficient demand, I'd consider it.
What class(es)?

all classes run the same points, but each class has an event they need to do at one of those points. It’s always the same for each class.

Hell, a mac that detected what class you were and ran all the points except for the one pertaining to your event would be freakin amazing.

Saw explore spam in guilchat from very lazy people so can only assume that it is your macro running. Big thumbsup, looks impressive just from seeing the achievements rolling in.

So on a scale of 1-10 if you look back how crazy did this drive you ?

A solid 9... 9.5 maybe. :P

We'd run a route. Run it maybe 15 times, all perfect. We'd go change something in a route 3 expansions away. The first route would suddenly get stuck somewhere it never did before. Sic was ready to kill me, I think.

And don't get me started on SolB/SolC. I rewrote that a dozen or more times.

Bought this, and have been trying it out today. Running it on my SK, having a few issues, I am getting a lot of zoning crashes, not sure why its not something I normally suffer from and I only have the 1 character running.
Also in Nagafens Lair, my SK at one point keeps trying to summon his horse, I am guessing for lev effects, which he stands there doing it in a loop as the Sonic Bats see through invis and trigger combat.
I have just had 6 crashes to desktop in a row zoning back out into Lavastorm, when i log back into Eq and run explore again, it goes back into nagafens lair and is repeating what it has all ready done.
Other than that it handled the faydark section fine, but its having a freak out in lavastorm.
Would also be great if SK used horse outside of dungeons to speed things up rather than innate run speed :)
Quick update, finally got out of Lavastorm, but its now crashing going into Neriak Foreign Quarter. Can not figure out why .

Check your Macros\Explore\Explore_<server>_<Toon>.ini file - What's listed as the lev clickie? (I may need to add an exception for Paly/SK mounts there. We tested from a variety of classes, but not those.)
As a work around, you can put another lev clicked in the INI manually and it'll use that instead. SolB is the only zone that needs lev; so if you're done with the NEAntonica route, you can ignore this all together.

The crashes to desktop are beyond my control, I'm afraid. It's something in MQ2Nav or MQ2 itself. I'm not doing anything that should be able to cause a crash. I'm just using Nav probably more extensively that it's ever been used (inter-zone wise).

Mid-Route progress isn't saved. Only completed routes. Doing mid-route would have required coding that goes beyond the scope of a macro. (I'd need a library of EVERY Zone-in-to-Zone-Out combo for EVERY zone in the game, AND basically have to recreate the Zone Guide's path finding.) Best I could do was have it allow starting a route mid-way through, but it means in you restart in a zone that has multiple pass-thru's like Lavastorm, we have to assume we're on pass-thru #1. Hence restarting in Lavastorm causes it to go to SolA and then SolB again. You can get around this by ending the macro, zoning into Temple of Sol Ro (where it would go next after Sol B/C) and starting the mac inside Temple of Sol Ro. It'll zone out to Lavastorm, but it'll assume it's at pass-thru #4. NEAntonica is one of the problem-child routes. I rewrote that zone's routine well over a dozen times, and Kaen rewrote it a dozen more.

I'll look at adding mount support into a future update.

Oddly I zoned myself with out the mac running into and out of the various neriak zones and it did not crash. I then put the mac back on and it crashed again.
Ran my SK out of Neriak and restarted and it ran back into Lavastorm and got stuck in a loop again in Nags Lair.
I was going to ask if it updated what it had done, but you have cleared that up for me. I will do the final parts of NE Antonica myself as the crashing has taken up quite some time.
can you tell it to cast a spell for lev as I dont have a clicky but obviously SK get lev spell?
Just crashed running without mac too, so not sure whats going on, system32 dll problems its now saying.

Must be something that's changed with the recent patch. I ran this on at least 3-4 toons for a week before the patch and everything was fine.

For SolB/SolC stuff, make sure you're in 1st person view. It makes a huge difference. The mac will pause, if it's not in the foreground.

If your sk has the aa he can use bobbing corpse for lev. I noticed I had to change the lev clicky on one of my toons because the macro picked my efreeti carpet mount over the ball of fluffy cotton in my bags.

Is it possible to stop fighting? I tested that first with a level 10 toon (I don' t dare to do it on one of the mains before testing it) and it stopped in Nektulous after getting attacked. Meanwhile fully buffed he killed countless undead - instead of simply running to the zoneline. Doing it manually is faster. I would normaly simply avoid every fight and ruuuuun to the next zoneline as long as this is no major dangerzone where I could train people. Any option for this available?
(I know, it is not meant for L10, but thinking about L110 zones and solo with a non-tank-/non-rogue-class it looks like this could make problems...

I didn't put in support for spells as a Lev source. But again, SolB is the ONLY zone that needs lev throughout all the routes. So if you're done with NEAntonica, don't worry about lev.

And you zoning yourself in/out of zones doesn't use MQ2Nav, so it wouldn't impact it / crash. But, let me guess, ALL of the crashes occured as you were zoning out of someplace? Hit a zoneline and crash? It doesn't show the zone loading screen and then crash....?

Only route issues I've noticed so far is in kunark it will take the translocator to timorous deep but if the boat isn't there to return it says can't find destination on nav mesh and hangs. Other problem spot is from the deep to ssra it gets looped in combat due to undead and then keeps running into the 1 way wall trying to get out.

there are also some mq2 crashes occuring on zoning that are unrelated to mq2nav (or at least occur while I'm not navigating to somewhere) etc. Sent in a few .dmps, I'm sure we'll get a fix soon

Thanks for the help, It's crashing every time I zone now, impossible for me to run as I have to load EQ back in everytime. :(

every time you zone now? this sounds like an eq issue (like the one with the ui-error causing crashes, tho i thought dbg fixed that this weekend) --- you crash every time you zone? with and without mq2 and with or without this macro running?

Those were literally the only two issues I found in the entire mac.
