They changed it to include the game now

All EverQuest servers will be brought offline tomorrow, February 19th, at 8:00 a.m. PT for an emergency update in order to patch the game. Downtime is expected to last approximately 2 hours.

Updates or changes to this downtime will be posted here. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Patch notes for this update will be found in the Game Update Notes section of the forums once they are available.

I just hope it fixes my zerker. For some reason non of his melee hits are landing. he is swinging but no damage. He was doing just fine until i zoned into a LS mission this morning. Reboot and reload and still nada.

You know, I thought it was just me. It's not a "none" of my hits are hitting thing, but I've felt since last week's patch like I wasn't swinging as much. I've also dropped on the DPS charts a bit during raids. It all felt kind of weird to me. This is a manually played Zerker as well, not using a bot/plugin. Something has just felt off.
 
SO i know the VV launcher update is unavailable after patch day.

Is it possible to log in using VV though and still use my trade skill Macros as long as I don't run the EQ Patcher? Sorry for the noob question!

dido, did not really think anything of it until today when i noticed no physical hits were landing, and it is ONLY on the zerker out of my 12 toons. maybe this is the emergency part

That depends on what they change and whether they still allow login with the old client or not. You should definitely not patch and check, but people will likely report back as soon as the servers come back up.

Services Maintenance is being extended 1 hour. (this doesn't say the eq downtime, however)
 
E-Commerce and Billing is extended 2 hours. Estimated time is currently 1:00 P.M. PT.
