EQ crashing randomly (1 Viewer)

anyone else having this issue? My MQ will crash on a random toon, will run fine for 10 minutes - 1hours so far, then i have to log completely off and shutdown MQ to even get the toon back on without crashing, any ideas?

I cant even get into world without the eq.exe has encountered a problem message appearing on one of my pcs

Update don't know if this is anything but I done a defrag on the hdd and managed to log an account in without error.

Going to check if I can log in on the account It was originally crashing on then if it does ille load eq up and mq each time turning a plug in on and off until I find what ones crashing eq. Then ille post it in here if that's the case.

Do you want me to do this for all my toons? I'm running 6, and it only picks one that it'll crash no matter what. It's at random, the other 5 will run fine. Then it's impossible for me to get the other back on without shutting down EQ / MQ and rebooting.

i got the earlier release of MQ2 for donating, i re-downloaded the newer version with ext target window fixed and everything is back to normal so far. If it happens again ill be back. Thank you much for the help!

No, just regular live server. I'm not sure if that's what was causing the issue, but i'm still going strong, so hoping it was some type of mix-up there.

Can you see the toon thats not working on your other charactors still in game? If so you can go to the task manager, highlight that toon, left click it twice then go back to that toon on your task bar and it will be unfrozen.

If it is crashing to desktop, or even if its not, and you are using Norton's; right click your Norton's Security on your task bar, disable Smart Firewall until system restart, and disable Auto-Protect until system restart. Do this every time before you load MQ2.

ok so i tested EQ with no wineq2 or MQ2 and it went into world ok

after doing what I said in the above post of mine turning on and off plugins ime pretty sure the culprit is MQ2Events edit your ini file and turn the =1 to a =0 and save it then close MQ2 and restart it.

My character now enters world and no EQgame.exe has encountered a problem and has to close message.

I went one further and cleaned up my ini file so here is what mine looks like now.

I JUST now updated to new version (liver version as of 12/18) I cant even log in all 11 toons when one logs in another crashes to desktop. About to try above fix will report if it helps. EDIT - So I turned off Mq2CPULoad plugin and they all logged in fine.

MORE INFO I use WinEQ with CPU AFFINITY ON. (no idea if that matters but realized that I had left out info)

Do you still crash if you turn mq2cpuload on and don't use wineq?

Hey folks,

I just wanted to add my 2c and let the community know that I have been experiencing similar crashing issues. I will log in on TLP and raid for over an hour with my buds, then randomly, all of my clients will crash EXCEPT my clerics. One of our guildies is good with IT and told me to use the event view to see what was causing the crashes. Copy pasting the info into this post...

Im crashing too. Toon just stops randomly, never had this problem before update...

Also i cant turn off Campfire click.
Cant turn of wanting to connect to eqbc.. i never used it before

i keep getting messages you can not connect to server , check connection, then the character stops everything

MQ2Nav might be causing it. there have been issues in the the past with Isboxer
