I'm really struggling with Echo of Hate mission. I see a ton of campfires outside of it on test, so I know people are boxing it. I would love to know what everyone is doing because clearly what I'm doing isn't working.

This is assuming CWTN - adjust for your automation. I also sometimes pause instead of 0 before clicks as it lessens the chance of a toon not clicking through (toons can't/won't click when they're mid cast).

1) Fight echo to 80%, and go mode 0 when he deactivates
2) /dgga /nav door id 96 click
3) Stand and do nothing for 5 minutes while the Flagelling guy kills himself
4) quickly move to center of room when he ascends and /dgga /multiline ; /doortarget; /timed 10 /click left door
5) Kill Echo 80-60. Then go mode 0 when the beggars pop. They'll aggro initially then go off xtar. When they drop off xtar give them 100pp. Do this 3x.
6) /dgga /nav door id 94 click
7) Once everyone is room with spider dude, go mode 2 and kill
8) When it dies, go mode 0 and /dgga /multiline ; /doortarget; /timed 10 /click left door
9) Go mode 2 and kill echno 60 - 40. Some weak blue con adds will spawn, kill them
10) Mode 0 and /dgga /nav door id 95 click
11) Go 2 and kill the mob there, then use the multiline above to click back when its dead
12) Go 2 and Kill echo 40-20 along with blue adds
13) Go 0 and /dgga /nav door id 93 click
14) Go 2 and kill the mob there, then use the multiline above to click back when its dead
15) Kill echo 20-0. He'll despawn and repop at 100. Kill him back down again along with any adds for win.

Key notes: always be mode 0 or paused for moves. Mode 0 or paused to PP the beggars. Use an empowered campfire with illusion so you're all the same race for the South click - otherwise you'll only be able to take any toons that are the same race.

Thank you! I'm going to have to read over this a bit and digest it! Really appreciate the response!

I've been using it as an easy manual XP clear before attempting to try the mission.

I do this with 3 toons and 3 mercs; for the last bit (after he ports up), I just ignore everything and burn the echo (I usually pop a glyph on the SK to make sure I don't die to adds, but not sure if that's still neeed; the SK is group geared with max AA).

Also with 3 is easier to move the toons around (I manually click on the stones, starting with the one on the left to the echo and going clockwise). I like leaving the flagelant guy to the end in case something goes wrong (e.g. if a merc or a toon dies, I have 5 minutes to rez and recover, although this rarely happens).

I use Rgmercs only (making sure chase is off).

Very similar to Dark. This is one mission where group control matters a lot. Pause / manual / chase / come to me - all mapped to hotkeys so you can quickly and confidently move a group vs manually moving toons.

Then be super intentional as you port over to check distances of the group to see if one missed or whatever before you engage the next mode

I keep thinking I need to script this one, but it is very tough so far to do all the mechanics successfully. So I tend to also run it manually with a ton of hotkeys for pausing and doing other operations.

Yea I've got some hotkeys I use as well, but can easily get all achievements every time if needed. I've gotten pretty good at this mission.

I actually have a hotbar with specific macros for this quest.

My macros also include checks on distance to my tank so that no toon ever goes active and tries to chase across the zone

i.e. /noparse /dgge /if (${Spawn[${Group.Member[TankName]}].Distance} < 150) /boxr chase)

As long as I carefully manage what my group does this mission is doable (a little frustrating)

also check https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/anyone-successfully-boxed-echo-of-hate.95479/ , similar post that people have posted useful snippets on doing the mission

yeah, I do not know how many times I have been in a corner room with only 1-2 of the other toons, and accidentally hit my chase hotkey, and watched the extended target window fill up with all the mobs they try to bring to me.

Somewhere on here I read about tanking the echo with the high-level mage earth pet.

It works great. Totally frees up the tank and shaman to handle the event rooms as they pop. I never click up more than 3 characters to the events. Makes managing the ports a lot easier. While in the event rooms the Echo de-aggros so the pet doesn't take any damage while you're away.

And lately I just burn the greedling down after giving him 3pp just once.

And one last tip, if a character dies while in an event room don't bother rezzing them. When they release from bind they will get kicked out of the area due to illusion differences, then likely get aggro on zone trash and die again.

Please please script this. I’m on my knees begging. I rely on all your scripts now.

I only plan to do it one or two times for the achieve...seems like a huge PITA
It really isn't bad if you either are good at typing, make the hotkeys or have a notepad doc handy to copy/paste and are half proficient with alt/tab from EQ to notepad and back.

Before Tsikut clicky, getting there was 10 million times worse than the mission itself.

Really? I do this mission 3 times a day. I have 3 spare toons camped at quest giver. Log them in, set up campfire, log out. Team clicks up, zones in, sets campfire, I use fairy illusion to make them all the same. Run in pound echo till he hp locks. North first for achievement. One guy ports up to north, rest are at echo. Ports right back, wait for the flagulent to die. Pound echo, pause pay the midget. Then I do East, south, west in that order. Click group up, kill beasty, click back, beat echo. repeat. Then just beat the echo down, ignore the adds. When I first was learning the event there were some pains but after seeing all the mechanics I never thought of this mission as hard, just annoying waiting for the flagulent guy to die.

Finished it today and just missed the 3rd midget payment as he died...

So I cleared the zone completely first. That made a difference as once I had them pathing something weird somehow. Following Darkwynd3's instructions made it pretty straight forward - I made a row of Derple buttons and just clicked them right down the line. Worked well. I dunno if I would try and do it without clearing the zone yet but I will soon.
