Tip - CoV TS Recipes

We had an awesome thread for ToV recipes and I was hoping we could get another going for CoV. I don't have any yet personally but I will post any I figure out here and hope other peeps can do the same. If anyone wants me to test anything I will be happy to once the game isn't so broken and I have a chance to farm some stuff.

not 100% Certain But pretty Sure recipes are Identical with the new Base mat names.

I'm expecting them to be the same base set with the new materials. Hope they don't take the items I was able to gather earlier, but I expect to loose them with a rollback.

Insdtead of sewing needle use Hickory Handled Shears for the Silk swatches

elm shears for pelts. I have been using eqtraders and substituting the new drops and it has been working with exception to the different shears.

Someone mentioned that they thought ice encrusted shield was better. Well here are both side by side:

I equipped both and looked at my stats. Here are the results:
Velium Threaded: Plus 1504 hps, plus 9 ac, plus 671 mana, minus 20 atk, vector of health 10100 health proc at 115
Personally I am switching over and selling the restless one. I can live with 20 less atk for all of the increases and the proc.

my point is you're comparing a tower shield to a kite shield

When / why would someone use a kite shield at all?
It seems like it is pointless.

It was the best one I looted from tov. They do seem pointless if you have an option. Maybe if you are a monk, rog, rng, or bst and you want to limit your dps?

I thought for rog rng, bst you want to Dual Wield or use a 2H, it is not like you can really tank either way right?
So why the shield? And if that is the case, then they should remove War/Shd/Pal from the kite shield, so that no one gets confused.

It seems like it is pointless.

Bow kiting Rangers are the only use I have seen for a Kite Shield... as they don't really need a weapon if they are kiting and cannot use Tower Shield. Good Rangers can AE swarm and headshot kite groups of mobs and a shield is handy.

Especially with extra Aug slots and mod2s. Might be useful for the other chains pulling too(bandolier ftw), or if they're desperately tanking.

AND.. for those rare occasions when you don't want to hit back. Equip any number of things in primary that's not a weapon, and the shield for protection.
