I get errors like this constantly.... everytime two items share similar names. Is there a way to make this a tad more specific on item names?

which crate you need to get, to be able to store more then 150 items? the ones i tried so far can be placed inside or outside, but you cannot store collectibles there...

You have to buy the right houses, some have up to 300 storage slots, and then you can increase that to 500 with the Scavenger's Prize from RoS (there are probably others as well) I believe 500 is the max you can get for plot storage.

I'm getting the error where it confuses the names of items.
mainly the collectible item "Apple" when I have aircrisp apples in my inventory.

Many of my mid-level characters use that as a primary food source so it is a pain to bank their food before running the Mac. Has another workaround been found?
