Question - Characters not able to cast? UI bugging?

This is something that happens randomly and I am not entirely sure what triggers it. I have no idea if its MQ2, UI, KA, or what causing it so just looking for any input on if anyone else has experienced this and found a way to fix it.

Occasionally as I am going through doing stuff characters will become bugged essentially, not all of them just a random character and never the same characters it seems relatively random. They will not be able to interact with their UI at all. I can not manually cast any spells and KA wont either. I simply cant click on the spell gems and force them to cast or anything at all. Zoning seems to fix this as well as relogging but I have not found any other way to correct the issue. It is quite annoying since normally I dont notice until I die as a result of a healer not being able to heal.

The screen doesn't lockup or anything, I am able to move around. I just cant really do anything else.

this just started for me tonight too. Not sure wtf it is... happens on custom ui (SARS ROS) as well as default even logging out doesn't fix it

Casting a instant aa will unstick the gems, on my sk I can use deaths effigy to fd or purity of death. Other classes probably have these types of aa’s As well that u can test.

Yep. I have had the same happen to me. The Casting instant AA doesn't clear this issue. This is something I have never seen until the last EQ update. The only fix I have found is to /camp desktop and then log back in.

I’ve had this issue for years. On my shadow knight, it only seems to happen when casting the “Spear” line of spells. Same with on a paladin with Expatriation. I imagine the issue has something to do with the cast time of the spell. /camp desktop doesn’t work. It literally locks out EVERYTHING — all abilities, /camp, you name it. The only way to clear it without quitting out is to zone or accept a TL.

I had this happen to my Enchanter last weekend. I was trying to do everything I could to un-hang the UI and then suddenly a window opened and closed. It was so fast I wasn't able to see what window it was, but whatever happened fixed the issue and my Enchanter was casting as usual again.
