Hello, I was wondering what Yall's opinion on the Faction grinding for the Anguish Armor is. For me I feel its too long of a grind. I get it its meant to be really good clicky items but why does this specific faction have no quests to speed it up. Do any of yall know a faster way? Should I just not do it? I think the armor is alright on TLP's like rizlona I think even if running huntertank in the zone it would take WAY to long to achieve. What are your thoughts on it?

for my SK epic i bought a faction potion, and i literally finished ally faction in the last minute. although i slacked and experimented a bit in the beginning, so if i had to do it again, it would realistically take 2-3h tops. go to draniks scar, pull the left part of the zone (start on the "balcony", and camp at the bottom of the ledge going up, where the two towers are on each side.
then move to the castle, pull the whole castle. then do one of the missions in the caves (fire caves) and then start over.

In my opinion, the clickies are definitely worth it for several classes.

While there are some quests, they are just simple collection (get 5 skull drops, turn in) quests. Faster to just mass kill mobs for faction.

I ran a few classes through Ruined City of Dranik, mostly because I liked the massive room with 30+ mobs. I think it took 2 or 3 hours per class (I think it was during a faction up)
Simplest is pick a zone, run PocketFarm for a bit. Goes faster on a faction rate up weekend or with potion.
You can use Anguish and kill the adds from Keldovan over and over.

My opinion on clicky usefulness:
Necromancer/SK/Warrior are good ones to have. Get them
Beast/Mage/Monk are sometimes useful
Bard/Berserker/Paladin/Ranger/Rogue aren't junk, but not generally worth clicking
Cleric/Druid/Enchanter/Shaman/Wizard are junk

I'm on live, if that matters.

Mpg…go hunter and collect loot and faction. Takes a couple of hours

Easiest grind I've found is engage keldovan without any DS or whatever, turn your back and let a melee class riposte the endless stream of dogs he summons, watch TV and max out without moving at all.

I think potion is definitely the fastest way to go. But just mass killing will get u to the faction u need sooner then u think.

sounds like work, would rather sit on instant respawn OMM guard for a couple hours (if you need to kill OMM for orbs anyway)
edit: afk was a poor choice of words. it just requires little to no user interaction

While the faction may seem like an annoyance now, back when it was current content it wasnt as big of a deal since you were grinding there anyways. Thats when I got mine. But yeah faction pot and mass pulls are about the best option today.

All I remember is doing Anguish over and over for everyone in the guild. A ton of players and yet I still don't have that faction. But maybe we were killing them all while walking 2 miles in the snow to school. It was long ago.

It was more about where you ground as not all mobs gave the right faction. Recall getting a raid drop and going well I'm warmly, might as well finish it. Not much else though tbh. But we were also clearing camps back then and not whole zones.

My route was always NW dranik Scar, bloodfields , then 1 big pull in RCoD before heading back to dranik. casting a heal or buff on my SK with the toon that needs facton.

my favorite was is to have OMM summons 2 guards, while he is rooted.. get to his room, getting your drops, then stand on his guard.. kill, respawn, repeat, dont have to move takes about a hour...

I got most of my faction while grinding for the quest pieces in the Muramite Proving Grounds (e.g. Ceremonial Dragorn Candle), and completing the Muramite trials (since I was in the area :P). I had 4 toons needing pieces though, but by the time I was done I think faction was also up there.

The other methods are good but I'd start by getting the pieces you need first (since that will get you faction too).

I'ma have to try this one. I've done it with keldovan's infinitely respawning pit mobs but it took longer than I'd expected and I had to babysit the toon with heals cause I still had to tank keldovan. your way sounds much easier

That is a very good way to do it as well. If you know how to do it. Honestly may be the fastest way aswell

I have done several BPs, here's what I did:

Head to Anguish, and clear to OMM's room. Stick to the outer ring so as not to aggro OMM. He has four named dragorn guards surrounding him that will instantly respawn when they die. So what you want to do is position yourself with your back to the wall, so the dragorn is between you and OMM.

Then use the attached macro. I had to put the delay line in there because the dragorn don't instantly respawn, there is a slight lag. Hence the two second delay. But you can use this macro and basically walk away while Your character kills repeatedly and builds up faction.

This is a handy little macro for when you have a whole bunch of trash mobs around you and you want to kill them all in one shot. Just take out the delay on line 4. It's really helpful when you pull a whole bunch of low level mods. It sure beats hitting F8 and then your attack button over and over again.
