Another tip: If a clue item drops in a region, it is safe to move to another region. Crypt and Bedroom are two different regions.

Last patch they removed this, they're.. 113ish at 115. And they hit like babies if you're in T3 ToV gear (probably much less it'll be still weak).

I did it for the first time ever yesterday and my group was all 115 and nobody has higher than T1 and my tank / AE mez took on 21 mobs at the same time.

I was running WAR/BRD/CLR/BERx3 and it was real smooth.

Had a couple cocktails and ran this on one of my bastard groups as they need the augment...and with my beer goggles on I forgot to notice my looter was HANGRY and ate all the freaking food lol!

Completed this today. Write up is spot on for quest.

Get it from Jimothy the Delicious in POK next to big bank. Since it is solo you can have it with other group ones going on. Then run up to Maelin in library and hail him, choose Dreadspire. It ports you right to the door and across from the tower..go down the tower a bit and there are bats everywhere. And drop your pet..have heard those will jinx the turn in.

This was also spot on, ran and grabbed the quest for "Magically Delicious", hit the library elevator to the top floor and ported to Dreadspire.

On the turn in, I could not turn in to "A grayfang bat" - he would just return the paste like the bitch wasn't hungry for Red Berry Paste or something... had to run down to the bottom and turn into "a batling", then I got the "A batling shivers in delight, enjoying the berries, then files away, dropping a simple black gem."

This worked perfect. My first item drop was a Ber only item so I knew straight off, but still had to find the rest. I kept good little notes EXCEPT for the one food item the berserker had because I am a dingus. Luckily I picked up everything so I knew it was the one spot not listed.

Man, I have been running this mission trying to get this Aug for all my toons and alts... Today I ran it the fastest yet, got all for drops in just under an hour. Hauled ass backup to Melion Pell for the turn in and final fight. I start going through the dialog....

You say, 'The murder occurred in the study'
Melion Pell, Minor Functionary says, "Are you sure? That doesn't seem like the [correct room].'
....... I pause like deer in headlights... "Wha....?... shit."
You say, 'The murder occurred in the ritual area'

The dialog continues, I kill the killer, yay coins, yay plat, yay AA's... turn to the table.... no chest. sigh. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to go as fast as you can.

Here is another Pro Tip: Fancy Apple and Fancy Red Apple are not this same. Twice now, the killer has had one or the other. This last time the cleric had a "Red Apple", but I had only seen a Fancy Red Apple in the castle. I ran back in, all the way to the end and there was not "Red Apple". Unless I am missing a weapons rack some where.... I did destroy the four in study. Go back to Melion Pell and do the hand in anyway, and got the dreaded "Are you sure? That doesn't seem like the [correct room].' .... *shakes fist at the sky while pulling a stupid face* So I roll through the answers until it likes the bedroom... that had the "burning embers" - I will select the embers if it happens again as see what happens

EDIT - I just ran back to the bedroom, while it identifies on the map as Burning Embers, pick it up, it says "Fancy Red Apple" --- FML

So frustrating... this was supposed to be my last run for this damn aug.... Curse you Mayong!

Not super helpful in itself but he linked a program in the video description. Which was SUPER helpful.

Ok. There has been a TON of confusion on this 19th Anniversary quest. And the quest guides on alla are not much help.

< You only get 1 augment for the quest - you will have to do the quest multiple times if you want to get the aug on multiple characters. >

I messed this up earlier by doing things wrong, and went back and streamlined the fuck out of this and I would like to share that with you now. (Kaen followed this method and it worked out great).

You get A Formal Dinner Party from a Dreadspire Servant in Plane of Knowledge - "I accept the invitation" to get the task - then "ready" to zone in.

Once inside you will hand the invitation you received to the doorman.

You will then speak with the guests and go through their dialog one by one.

After speaking with the guests you will talk to Melion Pell and he will tell you he needs 5 things as proof.

These 5 things are items that mobs randomly drop in the zone and 1 food item (sometimes you have to clear most/all of the zone to get the item drops, including the weapon racks).

Each of the 4 item drops will have Class listed on them - you can determine which class was the murderer by looking at that item and seeing which class is listed for all 4 items.

There are a few hidden access points in the zone - one of them is in the library, there is a book to click to take you to the hidden room on your map - the other important one (which took me ages to find) was in the bedroom area, there is a door that takes you to the south part of the map.

So - the 4 items that drop - great we have those, what about the food items?

We need to go back to the entrance and look at the class we just determined from the 4 drops.

In front of that class there will be a food on the table - you will need to pick this up *** be careful not to eat the damn food ***

You have a couple of options:

1. If you pick up food items as you go - *** Write down where it came from - the room if you know what it is called (don't guess) and a location /loc location allows you to cross-reference ***
2. If you are using myseq or another ability to target ground spawns you don't have to ever touch a ground spawn

now you need to match the food item with a room in the zone

Using myseq I can look at the ground items and target the matching item and check the location against this list ^ above. That is the room the food item is in.

So we should now have 4 dropped items, 1 food item, and identified the room the matching food item is in / came from

Turn in the 4 items,
then turn in the food item
say the room that it happened in,
and then say the class,
fight the class
loot your chest

Inside the chest is Red Berry Paste

You have to give this Red Berry Paste to any bat inside Dreadspire Keep

To get to Dreaspire Keep:
PoK -> Nek Forest -> Coralthus Creep -> The Undershore -> Stoneroot Falls -> The Hive --- inside the hive, you will go up the swirly "hives" until you reach the very top hive, there will be a door, click it and you're inside.

The Red Berry Paste you can give to any bat mob - there's one right at the entrance *note: The bat will not like it if you have a pet up --- drop your pet and you can turn in just fine*

Another note....i added an alt to the task on the same account as my main. logged alt. ran through quest with main. finished. logged back in on alt and looted pie....just an FYI

It’s been a while since I did it but they start the lockouts when you get them.

Did this quest today with a group that was all lvl 104. All the mobs averaged between 106 to 108 for me. When I finished the quest, 5 toons dinged to lvl 105.

I ran with an enchanter this time for CC. Last year my bard was CC, both work equally as well imo.

PoK -> Grab the Jimothy the Delicious quest -> Take the elevator up to the top of the library in PoK-> Hail Grand Librarian Maelin and click Dreadspire Keep -> Drop pet if you have it and turn in.

Not trying to be a moderator in any way, shape, or form here...just stating my opinion.

1. It (the program) is already linked in this thread, no need to attach a version.
2. Since the Anniversary quests are waiting another 9+ months to come around again, also no need to necro the thread just to attach a program that was already linked and used/trusted by others.
